This truck runs and drives great. I drive it at least 4 times a week. It is a rare 2wd model imported to canada. Built in oct of 1973 it was ordered with factory front disc brakes, power steering, and granny gear 4spd trans. Also factory equipped with a trac loc 3.73 rearend. Dana 44 axels both back and front. body and underside are pretty solid for being this old. pass side needs some wheel well repair and the drivers floor has a rough spot by the kick panel. Since I bought the truck from its second owner (91 y.o man) I have put new shocks in front and rear, also has load level coil springs in rear. I upgraded the points distributor to a new big cap HEI, plugs, wires. Also removed the stock cast iron single bbl intake and attached exh manifold and replaced with a 80 jeep alumin 2bbl intake and seperated exhaust manifold. also upgraded 1bbl holley with a weber 38 dges conversion kit with fuel pressure reg. I saved orig dist, coil, holley carb, and air cleaner to go with the truck. New energizer battery. I replaced intake/exh gaskets, valvecover gasket, fuel pump. Also have the rest of the complete gasket kit because it didnt need anymore. I have a new timing set for the truck as well even tho it does not need it. newer exhaust and tires. This truck is fun to drive, handels nice and turns on a dime. fuel gauge reads half full when full and interior lights dont work. AM radio and cig lighter function. All lights work, shifts great, has a manual clutch, no hydralic unit. Has vinyl floor covering with a nice cloth back seat, the bucket seats up front are short back vinyl jump seats that need recovering. Heat works as well. Please ask any questions you have and i will answer them promptly ******** I installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge to get a better reading of idle oil pressure (25psi) and cruising at 30 mph she runs at 55psi******** Does not smoke a bit, even at start up.
