For sale is a 2002 Infiniti QX4. This car is black exterior on black leather interior with burl walnut wood trim. This car has with 140,000 sensational miles and the interior still looks brand new. Most of these miles are highway miles. Since owning it, this Infiniti has been professionally detailed 4-5 times a year (and thoroughly cleaned several other times). This Infiniti has a rear cargo cover, towing hitch (and wired lights for trailer), Bose Premium Sound, adjustable xenon headlights, electronic seats including auto sliding drivers seat (when entering and exiting the car), power moonroof, Pioneer in-dash touch screen with DVD player (passengers can watch while moving) and iPod integration (with cable), adjustable roof rack (rack pads not included) and a rear wind deflector replaced last year ($300+ value as this part is very hard to come by). The subwoofers and mono amplifier can be included for an extra charge, otherwise will be professionally uninstalled. As QX4's are highly sought after cars, I do reserve the right to end this listing early if I sell it before the end date. Please do not contact me asking what the reserve is as I will not answer that question.

Condition: As I believe in complete honesty and giving the most detailed explanation of the car (I have dealt with many sleazy sellers before) I am giving the full run down of the car. The running boards were recently reinforced with steel after they rusted out underneath. This is a known problem with Infiniti QX4s (please refer to forums if necessary). There is no rust on the frame, chassis, body etc. There are 2 small scuff marks on each rear corner and some brushed but barely noticeable scratches on the right rear quarter panel. There are 3 repaired cracks on the lower front bumper cover from a small fender-bender. The brakes are good, the tires have only a couple thousand miles on them and are still basically brand new. I can provide extra pictures to serious buyers only. If you are not considering placing a bid, please do not waste either of our time. The QX4 was recently tuned up and replaced parts including o2 censors, belts, exhaust, canisters etc. Minus a small crack on the very bottom side of the leather on the drivers seat (very small) this interior is comparable to a car that has 20,000 miles. I have had multiple people come up to me and comment on how clean it is.

Included in this purchase is:

  • Installed Prestige Remote FM Starter (with horn relay kick back for lock and unlock) -custom option. It comes with 2 remotes including a brand new main remote which alerts you when the car is locked, unlocked or remotely started with a range of up to 1 square mile. This is in-addition to the two regular keys
  • Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD In Dash Receiver with iPod connector, DVD player and remote control installed late 2011 by an award winning and professional installer. Matches trim of dashboard.
  • Window Tints (zero bubbles of any size)
  • Rear Cargo Cover
  • Rear Wind Deflector
  • Trailer hitch and wiring for trailer lights
  • Brand new Toyo Open Country A/T II tires ($1,200 value)
  • Brand new Walker exhaust ($600 value)
  • All 4 o2 censors and canisters replaced (usually needed to be replaced after a higher amount of miles) ($800 value)
  • Oil Changed
  • Air and Oil Filter Replaced
  • OPTIONAL: Already professionally installed (by a once Top 10 installer nationwide) Alpine V12 Mono Subwoofer Amplifier with 2 Kicker Comp VR 10 subwoofers in a custom shallow closed (and removable) box to match the interior. This can be added in for $500 or will be professionally uninstalled, wires included.

Infiniti Q70 won't live to see 2020

Fri, Oct 25 2019

The Infiniti Q70 won’t be returning for the 2020 model year, effectively killing InfinitiÂ’s large luxury sedan. This news comes to us via a report from Motor Authority, citing “the automaker” and Infiniti spokesperson Kyle Bazemore. WeÂ’ve reached out to Infiniti to confirm the news, but it doesnÂ’t strike us as a surprising move whatsoever. Update: Infiniti confirmed the Q70 won't be sold in the U.S. or Canada for the 2020 model year. Back in July of this year, Nissan made it clear that we should expect 10 percent of its models to be cut from its global product lineup. We speculated then that the Q70 and Q70L would be part of these cuts, as itÂ’s the manufacturerÂ’s worst-selling model. To no oneÂ’s surprise, that eventuality came true. Infiniti moved 4,479 Q70s and Q70Ls in 2018, making it a super low-volume vehicle in a tough segment. Back in the mid-2000s, Infiniti topped 20,000 sales of its largest luxury sedan (not named the Q70 at the time). Cars like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 are all more enticing buys next to the aged Q70 — a slightly cheaper base price was the last stand for this vehicle, but it looks like a good deal wasnÂ’t enough to save it from our crossover apocalypse. Infiniti SUV sales are up, as the QX80 continues to gain more ground in 2019. More folks are opting for the raised and rugged options than smooth and comfortable sedans across the industry, which is why we continue to see news like this. Unfortunately, the Q70 isnÂ’t riding off into the sunset in any sort of glory. We can trace the Q70Â’s lineage back through a few name changes (Q45 into a series of M cars like the M45 and M56). Its oldest ancestor would be the Infiniti Q45, which was a revolutionary car back in the early 1990s. It featured an active hydraulic suspension system that aimed to provide a supremely comfortable ride and flat cornering at the same time. When equipped with the suspension system, hydraulic actuators on each wheel were able to counter the forces exerted on it from cornering, braking and acceleration. And remember, this was 1991!  Transitioning back to today, Nissan and Infiniti have made it clear that EVs will be the future. We know that weÂ’d love to see another industry-changing flagship sedan from Infiniti, and a fully electric vehicle might just be the way to go about it. Anybody wanting for a production version of the Q Inspiration Concept?

Cars most likely to be involved in accidents

Tue, Nov 30 2021

Data from Insurify shows which models have the most accident-prone drivers behind the wheel. It also shows the proportion of the drivers of said vehicles with an at-fault accident on record in the past seven years, based on Insurify’s analysis of over 4 million car insurance applications. For reference, the national average is 10.78%, and each of these vehiclesÂ’ drivers represent a statistically significant increase over that. Now, it would be easy to infer that these cars are dangerous, but such is not necessarily the case. Remember, drivers cause accidents, not cars. These just happen to be the cars that accident-prone drivers drive. YouÂ’ll notice that many are mainstream, affordable cars, often with decent crash ratings. Also keep in mind that vehicle accidents are up since the beginning of the pandemic, so no matter what you drive, please drive safely. 10. Hyundai Ioniq This affordable, electrified vehicle platform sneaks into this list with 14.45% of drivers with a recent at-fault accident on record. 9. Lexus CT Another hybrid, this Prius-powered Lexus beats the national average at 14.57%. 8. Toyota Prius V Yet another hybrid, the larger but discontinued member of the Prius family sees 14.72% of its drivers with recent accidents. 7. Mazda CX-3 The Mazda CX-3, which is discontinued for the 2022 model year, sees the accident-prone making up 14.9% of its drivers. 6. Infiniti Q60 The second and final luxury car on this list has more accident-prone drivers than average, at 14.93%. 5. Subaru Impreza The first of two Subarus on this list has 15.1% of drivers with recent accidents on record. 4. Hyundai Genesis Coupe The Genesis Coupe was only on the market for a brief span before it was discontinued and Genesis spun off into its own luxury brand. That said, it too beats the national average for accidents, at 15.29%. 3. Subaru WRX Despite its standard all-wheel drive, the boy-racer WRX has 15.44% of drivers with a prior accident in the last seven years. 2. Kia Stinger We love the Kia Stinger, and had great luck with our long-termer that graced the Autoblog garage for a year. That said, 15.75% of its drivers represent have a recent accident on record. 1. Scion FR-S This fun two-seater attracts the most accident prone drivers, with 15.87% with recent at-fault crashes. 2019 Infiniti QX50 First Drive Review | A high-tech engine flies under the radar

Thu, Feb 1 2018

Update: An Infiniti representative reached out after this review was published and noted that the "Park with Easy Steering" function of the Direct Adaptive Steering system was erroneously left engaged. Infiniti says this feature "reduces feel considerably at low speeds to aid in parking", and that the Easy Steering function will be disabled by default in customer cars unless the customer chooses to engage it. This seems to explain the issues our reviewer had with low-speed steering feel, although we've had other problematic experiences with Direct Adaptive Steering in a broader sense – not to mention the fact that the drive-by-wire system has been recalled several times to fix various issues, and also recalibrated in response to criticism. We hope to get another QX50 soon, and if so we'll compare the low-speed steering response with Easy Steering on and off. Even as manufacturers rush headlong into electrification and autonomous driving, revolutionary internal-combustion engine technologies are still being developed. Consider the Mazda Skyactiv-X Spark Controlled Combustion Ignition process, for example. But Infiniti's VC-Turbo four-cylinder engine, which makes its debut in the 2019 QX50, is truly a work of engineering fortitude. The engine realizes the long-held ambition among engine manufacturers to create a way to alter the compression ratio on the fly, a boon to both power and fuel efficiency. It's a brilliant bit of science that's, unfortunately, still in search of the right car. Don't get us wrong, the QX50 is perfectly competent — it's an exceedingly quiet and comfortable cruiser. However, it's no longer the driver-pleasing machine its predecessor was. That car, originally known as the EX35, was built atop Nissan's sporty FM platform, a front-midship, rear-wheel-drive layout putting the engine aft of the front axle line and giving the vehicle the athletic driving dynamics of a sport sedan. In fact, it was basically a G37 hatchback, and it was sold as the Skyline Crossover in Japan. A shortened FM chassis underpinned the 370Z, to put a finer point on it. For those more concerned with comfort than corners, the 2019 QX50 might actually be a more useful. It rides atop an all-new front-wheel-drive chassis, which means it's able to add more space for both passengers and cargo. It trades a heap of the old QX50's sportiness for comfort and packaging efficiency. If that sounds good to you, perhaps the new QX50 is the right crossover.
