2006 INFINITI M35X All Wheel Drive-NAVI-HEATED SEATS-
HAIL DAMAGE SAVE THOUSANDS
I sold this car six years ago to some really special repeat clients, it was off lease from Infiniti and I drove it from Denver to Tulsa - They live in OKC and experienced the first hail storm of the year April 26th (not tornado) & brought this car to trade on a Mercedes CLK55 we had. The hail damage on this car was estimated at $5500-6500 retail. The insurance company bid the car for replacing a new hood and trunk lid
($1350 new for both-new hood & trunk lid from Infiniti) labor & materials to refinish the hood and trunk & $2800 to replace much of the bright work & trim pieces & to repair the rest with the paint less dent repair method. To get and idea of cost I have very good friend who is the best PDR (paint less dent repair) guy in the business, he said he could finish the paint less portion (mainly top and sides) for around $1000-$1500. The hood must be replaced, its the worst, but the trunk may be repairable. The doors and sides really aren't too bad. I have tried to take pics as best we can, they just don't show up in the light, so we resorted to marking them with tape with the flash, there was no way to mark all of them with tape to show you the scope of the damage...... BUT-IF it were me, I would drive it like it is & work the car into shape as you can and have time and money. I have this priced $$$$$ Thousands less than wholesale and the damage is not easily detectable from a distance, but no fooling, it is there, full disclosure and not denying that. It is really hard to get on camera. Mechanically and cosmetically, other than the hail damage, this car was excellent. Non smoker, no pets or kids, finished in black outside with basketball color leather, the custom wheels are about a year old and the original alloy wheels come with the car. It has Navigation, lane changing warning, lots of equipment, well equipped MX35X not to mention the all wheel drive. Drives great, service history is good and the car is sharp.
To avoid this discussion-I will not repair this car, we are selling to reduce inventory. Whoever ends up with this Infiniti is getting a great car. The wheels and tires are about a year old with about 80% tread life remaining, original factory wheels also come with. This is a nice car that was sitting outside when a hail storm came over the house, they were not at home and the garage was empty. Oh Well. If you are a storm spotter, this is perfect.......Already pre-hailed upon for you!! Have a Great Day.

BMW reclaims US luxury sales crown from Mercedes
Tue, Jan 6 2015The numbers, they are in: BMW has reclaimed the luxury-sales crown from Mercedes by a margin of 9,347 cars. Mercedes donned the king's headgear in 2013 after a strong final quarter of 2013 when the new CLA and S-Class poured out of dealerships. This year, led by the 3 Series/4 Series and X5, BMW sold 339,738 units – a 9.8-percent increase year-on-year. Mercedes, led by the C-Class and M-Class, saw its sales go up by 5.7 percent to 330,391 units. We'll have to wait a bit to see if there's another registrations-vs-sales challenge as in 2012, when BMW was anointed US luxury ruler. Behind them, a dark horse named Lexus nudged closer to the leading Teutons, selling 311,389 cars. The Japanese luxury automaker also had the biggest gain among the top three, its sales rising by 13.7 percent compared to 2013. Audi had the biggest sales of anyone among the top five, though, with a 15.2-percent gain to 182,011, which moved it a spot ahead of Cadillac; the Wreath-and-Crest brand dropped 6.5 percent to 170,750. Acura (167,843), Infiniti (117,300), and Lincoln (94,474) took the final positions. Speaking of Lincoln, sales at the once-mighty luxury marque stand as the mightiest jump of any on this list, up 15.6 percent. That's the power of Matthew McConaughey... and better cars and a new crossover, sure. So now that we're back to Round One of 2015, in case no one else has said it yet: "Ok, fight!"
Infiniti QX55 Luggage Test | The price to be paid for a coupe
Fri, Apr 16 2021The Infiniti QX55 is the crossover-coupe version of the QX50, which like other such variants available throughout the industry, chops the roofline and cargo area down to create a "coupe-like" appearance. Obviously, this results in a reduction in cargo capacity, but because that reduction is largely above the back seat line, the actual reduction in usable cargo space isn't as great as you might expect. While carrying a large box or some other tall, bulky thing will be more difficult, smaller items like suitcases won't necessarily be much different since carrying them above the back seat line can reduce or eliminate rear visibility and create a hazard by flying forward while stopping as well. It's for those very reasons I don't stack to the roof in luggage tests. Now, I have not tested the QX50, so I have no point of comparison in that regard. But I have tested a variety of crossover-coupes and the QX55 does indeed share common attributes ... and detriments. On paper, the Infiniti QX55 has 26.9 cubic-feet of cargo space behind its back seat. That is basically the same as the Audi e-Tron Sportback and a bit less than the Mustang Mach-E and Toyota Venza. The Cayenne Coupe figure just seems inaccurate. The QX55's back seat reclines, however, so its amount is variable. I do not know where Infiniti set it while doing it's measurement, but I set it for a comfortable degree comparable to most fixed back seats. You can also easily lower the back seat with handles in the cargo area. Both elements are pictured below. Now, let's get to the bags. As in every luggage test I do, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D). Cool, that was easy. All the bags easily fit with minimal Tetrising and ... Oh no. Wait, they don't. Despite all the bags seeming to be clear of the liftgate, the power-closing function got stuck repeatedly. I could slam it shut manually, but that's another no-no here at Luggage Test Portland in order to keep things consistent. I then Tetrised and Tetrised and Tetrised again. No good, no good, no good. "Boy, what an annoying cargo area," I said to an empty street. This is what eventually worked after the sixth attempt.
Infiniti Q60 dies at year's end
Mon, Aug 15 2022In 2021, Automotive News' Future Product Pipeline coverage for the Infiniti brand contained a single entry for 2023: "Infiniti Q60 ends in 2023." Turns out the report of the Q60's death was true; the brand confirmed to Car and Driver that the coupe ends production at the end of this year. We wish we were surprised at the news or the rationale. An automaker spokesperson told the magazine, "We are focusing on the most popular luxury automotive segments such as crossovers and SUVs, as well as the upcoming EV we recently announced that will be built here in the U.S." The official justification didn't address the fact that dealers sold 2,728 units of the Q60 in the U.S. last year, 64 units fewer than achieved in 2020, and 2,315 units fewer than dealers moved in 2019 — the year Q60 sales fell off a cliff after selling more than 9,000 units in 2018. Consider this another step in the "three-phase company transformation" that Chairman Peyman Kargar is in the second stage of working through. The first phase of recovery ended this March, the luxury automaker getting back to profit globally. The current second stage that will revamp, electrify, and expand the lineup is predicted to last for the next four years. The spearhead will be the new QX80 SUV, planned for late next year or early 2024 with ambitions to challenge the Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX, and Range Rover. That luxury club barred Infiniti from entry awhile ago, so Kargar's talking about profound turnaround. As for the Q60, the shame is that a car with sweet looks and even sweeter power never got the interior or driving dynamics to match. Perhaps the return of a much better Nissan Z can provide fodder for a proper Infiniti coupe once the luxury division has restored its momentum. The spokesperson told Car and Driver that Q60 inventory should last until well into 2023, so anyone looking for a 400-horsepower bargain with a six-speed manual should mark their calendar for early next spring.  Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
