This car....woo, what a steal. I bought it rebuilt ~10 years ago and I swear I'd never know it wasn't off the showroom floor.
Even now, it has great power, a very smooth transmission, every option under the sun (except nav, but who needs it with Google Maps on our phones, anyway?), and drives better than 90% of new cars that roll off the line today.
It has some body imperfections. It looks great from 15 feet away, good from 10 feet away, and closer than that, you start to see some dings, scratches, etc. There are no big dents or anything, but it's very much in line with the wear and tear you'd expect on a 10-year-old car: no better, no worse.
Maintenance-wise, this is a great time to buy this car. I bought 4 new tires last winter, so they have <5k miles on them. BRAND NEW brakes (pads AND rotors) 8/25/13. New windshield 8/25/13 (old one had a crack in it). New oil pan 8/25/13 (old one was a little rusted, used to leak a little oil, but now it doesn't drip any oil at all; pretty rare for a car of this vintage.) Passed emissions in April of this year, so no worries there.
Overall, this is a great car that still looks good and drives like the import luxury sport sedan that it is.

Nissan looking to expand UK plant to build Infiniti Q30
Thu, 22 Aug 2013With the Infiniti Q30 concept heading to the Frankfurt Motor Show next month and a future premium compact model heading into production at Nissan's Sunderland UK assembly plant, just connecting the dots tells us this new small Infiniti is headed for UK production. Backing this up, Reuters is reporting that Nissan is looking to expand the Sunderland plant by 25,000 square feet, while Automotive News Europe takes it a step further by almost confirming that the Q30 will be built alongside the Nissan Qashqai and Note.
The reports say that Sunderland is already the UK's biggest automotive plant, but the expansion will make it even larger with production capacity expected to rise from the current 500,000 units built each year to more than 550,000. There is no indication if the expansion will bring more jobs to the plant, which already employs around 6,000 people.
Infiniti confirms all-new sports sedan will debut in Detroit
Wed, 28 Nov 2012While the automotive world may currently be focused on the Los Angeles Auto Show, those looking to stay ahead of the curve have their sights set farther down the road. One such automaker is Infiniti. On the first of the LA press days, the Japanese luxury brand has announced an all-new model to debut in Detroit this January.
According to Infiniti, an all-new model will be unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto show. The debut will be accompanied by a performance from world renowned Cirque Du Soleil as well as a live stream simulcast of the event.
It's unclear whether Infiniti will be showing a redesign of the G sedan, which has been spotted testing, or a new sub-G compact performance-luxury four-door. We will know for sure on January 14 when we bring you news form the Infiniti stand.
Infiniti QX70 is fini, for now
Mon, Jul 24 2017We knew it first as the FX, debuting in 2003 as a bulgingly macho SUV/crossover thing with an impossibly long hood. It was quick and powerful, and lower-slung than typical SUVs, more like a tall wagon. Infiniti later dialed the cartoonishness of it back a few notches and started calling it the QX70. Now, the QX70 is going to take a little break, disappearing from the lineup for a few years while QX50 and QX80 redesigns are rolled out. The QX70 is sporty, with a 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6. But it's an aging model and a bit of a slow seller - last year, Infiniti moved one-seventh as many QX70s as it did its kid-hauling cousin the QX60 - which seats more people (seven, to the QX70's five) and is less expensive. The QX70 was once popular like that, selling 30,964 as the FX in 2004. But that was long, long ago. Last year it sold 6,261. The QX70 nameplate is expected to be back in 2021 or 2022, in a redesign based on the Nissan Murano and built at Nissan's plant in Canton, Miss.
