My wife has driven the kids to and from school in this car for the last 2 years. We haven't had any problems with it. It has been a great car. We now have an addition coming, so we need a 3rd row seat. That is the only reason we are getting rid of this car. It is a great car. It has leather heated seats, power windows and locks, 4-wheel drive, towing package, and the 3.5 Liter V6. Recently the radio display started acting funny, but it might be an easy fix. It doesn't interfere with the radio play though. Also, some of the chrome (plastic) covering has peeled off of the driver side interior door handle. But, I am told that the dealership will fix this for free due to a recall. Please check to make sure. A small piece of the roof rack covering is missing. But it is hardly noticeable. Other than that, it is a great vehicle that lives up to the Hyundai name. The A/C is cold, the heater is hot, everything works. Feel free to call me with any questions or if you would like to see the car before bidding. 817-991-2287 It is being sold at NO RESERVE. Happy bidding!
On Apr-09-14 at 19:11:00 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU INTEND TO PAY. NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WILL BE LEFT IF YOU WIN AND DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH PAYMENT. THIS IS A VERY DESCRIPTIVE LISTING WITH ALL ISSUES POINTED OUT. BIDDERS ARE WELCOME TO COME LOOK AT THE CAR PRIOR TO BIDDING. THANK YOU. |

Hyundai NA CEO Krafcik awarded Automotive Executive of the Year
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Hyundai North America CEO John Krafcik is this year's Automotive Executive of the Year. DVN Business Assurance presents the award each year, and this year, Robert Djurovic, executive director of the award program, said Krafcik won the nod because he "reshaped the way Hyundai approaches the market with consumer focus, compelling design and enduring value." While speaking at the award ceremony, Krafcik said that he was humbled by the recognition and that he accepted the accolade on behalf of Hyundai team members, dealers and suppliers.
Krafcik joined Hyundai in 2004 as the vice president of product development and took on duties as chief executive in 2008. Since then, the automaker has seen a flurry of new products and a substantial jump in market share. His efforts have also helmed Hyundai to two North American Car of the Year awards in 2009 and 2012 for the Genesis and Elantra, respectively. Krafcik also helped Hyundai navigate through the company's fuel economy debacle that began late last year, in which the automaker admitted it overstated the efficiency ratings of many of its automobiles.
The Automotive Executive of the Year Award has been recognizing industry leaders since 1964. You can read the full press release below for more information.
Recharge Wrap-up: "E-Mobility Thought to the End" project, Tesla owner tracks stolen car
Wed, Nov 4 2015A Tesla owner helped police track her stolen Model S and catch the thief. Katya Pinkowski of Vancouver, BC found her car missing after a concert, and she was able to track the car's movements with the Tesla app. She relayed the information to the police, who surrounded the car and arrested the driver. "High tech definitely played a helping role," in arresting the suspect, says Richmond RCMP spokesman Cpl. Dennis Hwang. In what appears to be the first Tesla theft in Canada, Pinkowski accidentally left an electronic fob in the car, giving the thief easy access. Read more from The Province. As part of their "E-Mobility Thought To The End" project, retired EV batteries are being used in the 13-MWh storage unit to help stabilize the grid and help manage energy fluctuations from renewable sources. It serves as another step in the life of the battery before recycling, where the materials from the lithium-ion batteries re-enter the production process. This helps reduce the environmental impact and the costs of electromobility. Read more in the press release below. E-mobility thought to the end: World's largest 2nd-use battery storage unit set to connect to the grid • Cooperation between Daimler, The Mobility House, GETEC and REMONDIS completes the battery value creation cycle • Re-use of electric vehicle batteries improves environmental performance and the lifecycle costs of e-mobility • 13-megawatt battery storage unit to connect to the grid in early 2016 • Levelling out fluctuations in the power grid as an active contribution towards the energy revolution The world's largest 2nd-use battery storage unit will soon go into operation in the Westphalian town of Lunen.
The Hyundai Genesis is dead! Long live the Genesis G80!
Tue, Jan 12 2016Hyundai's big news at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show isn't even about Hyundai at all. It's about Genesis, the Korean automaker's new luxury brand that officially kicks off with the G90 flagship. But over the next few years, Genesis will add a number of models to its range, and the next is the G80 – the rebadged version of the existing Hyundai Genesis sedan. That's what you're looking at here. Look closely, and you'll see the new Genesis wing emblem, and some "G80" badges on the rump. The official transition from Hyundai Genesis sedan to Genesis G80 happens this summer, with the 2017 model year car. We don't expect the G80 to be too different from the existing 2016 sedan, though Hyundai officials tell us some more Genesis announcements will take place at the New York Auto Show in March. Hyundai already confirmed a smaller Genesis G70 sedan will come to market, as will a sport coupe and luxury SUV. See the new G80 in the images above, check out the all-new G90 flagship here, and watch the Hyundai/Genesis press conference from the 2016 Detroit Auto Show below.
