2009 Hyundai Accent Gls 4 Door 66k Miles 5 Speed Manual Modified on 2040-cars
Macungie, Pennsylvania, United States
| This is my first attempt at describing a car so bare with me. This is a 2009 Hyundai Accent 4 Door GLS Sedan. Comes with a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. Comes with new plugs, new timing belt, new accessory belts, new coolant. Front brakes have less than 10k on them, same with the tires/rims combo. I will replace the cars battery and perform an oil change before you take this away along with replacing the windshield wipers. I'm a mechanic and this thing has been fairly meticulously maintained. The only immediate concern that I am aware of is the rear brake pads are low enough to warrant replacing in my opinion. They would probably pass inspection but I don't like running brakes down super low. The car has been sitting since last june so I would also recommend a fuel system cleaning. The rear trunk to this car has been painted matte black to match the black hood accent I put on (along with the rims). Front seats have been changed to black as well. Custom floormats (faux diamond plate, you can clean them without hassle), Sony head unit with cell phone mount (specifically for a iphone but adjustable to fit most smartphones, may not fit the super huge ones though), I changed the shift knob but still have the original if you prefer, has a cold air intake on it. Now the odd thing, as evidenced in the pictures, I gutted the rear. The back seat and it's trim panels, seat belts, trunk lining, and trim for the trunk were removed. Why? I was using this as a work car and needed the ability to store a lot of stuff and move it from place to place. With all that removed this thing gives you an amazing amount of storage capacity. But keep in mind only 2 people can sit in this thing as it sits. You could go junkyard hunting and replace everything to make it seat 4 again but I leave that to you. But if you're wondering why the price is so low for a maintained low mileage car, that's the reason. I have a limited market of people who'd be interested in this. Terms are simple, first, this car does not have current inspection/emissions stickers. So you can either tow it home or figure something else out. Once the title is in your hands in your name frankly I don't care how you want to get it home. I live next to about 10 automotive shops so you could immediately take it for inspection/emissions and drive it home. Whatever floats your boat. I have the title in hand and will sign it over to you cash on delivery. No paypal, credit cards, or anything else for this transaction. Finally, all sales final. I offer zero warranty on this car of any kind. If you have any questions you should ask before buying/making an offer. As of the last time I was using it daily it drove fine. Honestly if it doesn't sell I'll just put it back on the road and keep using it. The only reason I want to move it is I have limited space for cars and have a new toy I want to buy and put in it's place. |

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe production version shown in first photos
Tue, Feb 6 2018Hyundai is continuing to trickle out information about the redesigned 2019 Santa Fe crossover, this time releasing exterior and interior images that give us a good sense of the production version. It'll get its world premiere later this month before making its official bow in Geneva in March. Hyundai had previously released a darkened teaser photograph that showed the profile of the three-row crossover, its largest passenger car, then last week a pair of official renderings that showed a hulking, muscular SUV. The new exterior image shows the Santa Fe from virtually the same angle, and it reveals a few differences from the most recent renderings. For starters, the greenhouse is more generous, not as narrow as in the rendering. The massive wheels have been brought down to a less aggressive size, and the production version isn't quite so bulging down the flanks. But it keeps the Cascading grille, the upright fascia, twin headlights and the prominent crease along the profile just below the windows. The fourth-generation SUV also grows in size, with a length of 187.8 inches, width of 74.4 inches and a longer wheelbase, giving it a wide, athletic stance. Inside, Hyundai says there's more room for passengers, with enhanced visibility and a horizontal layout, with a center touchscreen atop a relatively uncluttered console. The Santa Fe will come equipped with Hyundai's new rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, which helps warn of approaching vehicles when the driver reverses out of areas with poor visibility and apply the brakes automatically when an oncoming vehicle is detected. It also gets safety exit assist technology, which Hyundai says temporarily locks the doors when it detects vehicles approaching from behind — presumably meaning in those situations where you're about to open your door in a parking space as a car pulls into the spot next to you.Related Video:
Will Norway and South Korea lead us to the hydrogen future?
Thu, Jun 30 2016In the US, California leads the hydrogen highway. But, globally, the countries at the forefront include Japan, Norway, and South Korea. A new announcement by the Norwegian ambassador in Seoul, Jan Grevstad, makes it sound like those last two countries should think about Voltron-ing it up to promote H2 cars. The ambassador was speaking at the Korea-Norway Economic Cooperation Council at the Federation of Korean Industries. "A great example of the Norwegian–South Korean energy cooperation can be found in the transport sector," he said, according to Yonhap News. "South Korean engine technology is paired with Norwegian hydrogen production and infrastructure technology to create hydrogen driven cars." Grevstad said that the two countries could also work together on solar, wind, and other energy efforts, but didn't get into more detail about what he meant by this. The first Toyota Mirai hydrogen car was just delivered to Norway, but other H2 vehicles have been on the roads there for many years. Back in 2009, for example, as part of the 24th Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS24), some hydrogen cars road tripped from Oslo to Stavanger. That same year, Mazda delivered 30 hydrogen-powered RX-8 RE vehicles. Hyundai – a South Korean company, of course – has been leasing its Tucson Fuel Cell (also known as the ix35 Fuel Cell) in hydrogen-friendly areas and believes that hydrogen-powered cars have a bright future. There's even a Tucson Fuel Cell car-sharing program operating in Germany. As gung-ho as Hyundai is, it's only sold 26 Tucson Fuel Cells in Norway so far, out of a total of about 500 around the world, Yonhap News says.
