We'll sadly the time has come to move onto bigger and better things in life and to do so some things have to be removed to progress forward... So with that being said, I'm selling my 2012 3.8 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec / Supercharged.

- HSD coilovers (less than 3500 miles on them)

The list truly goes on and on... There's close to $15-16k alone in the car. The car has been meticulously maintained by myself and only Adult driven. Hence the reason why there is such low mileage on the car. only 14700 miles!!!!!!!!!!! For a 2012 3.8 genesis coupe that is fully built top to bottom & supercharged - It's literally unheard of.

The car has a base tune of 11 PSI on the 80mm Pulley, which is putting an estimated 450+ rwhp to the ground. It has the potential to be a 500+ rwhp car with a re-tune !!!!!!

This is a steal for the lucky person that ends up purchasing this car. There's literally less than 500 miles on the motor since being built! The car is 110% mechanically sound. The motor was professionally built here in Las Vegas by a highly reputable machine shop.

The reason behind why I'm getting rid of my pride and joy is due to the fact that my beautiful wife just gave birth to my son and now its time to get something a little more family practical with 4 doors. So its time to sell… And as the saying goes - My loss is your gain.

If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Again, this car is truly one of a kind. You will not find another is 3.8 Hyundai Genesis Coupe out there in the continental U.S. that can even come close to magnitude of this car.

***NOTE***

The car no longer has the black headlights shown in the pictures, they are now clear / silver OEM headlights

Hyundai files patent for smartphone feature disabler in proximity to steering wheel

Wed, Apr 15 2015

Combatting driver distraction continues to be a hot topic in automotive safety, especially when it comes to young motorists. While simply not using a smartphone behind the wheel would fix much of the problem, automakers are trying to work out complicated ways to make people safer. For example, GM is experimenting with head and eye tracking to make sure folks are paying attention to the road. Now, Hyundai might have come up with a technology that offers a very simple fix: disable the phones. The Korean automaker explains the idea in explicit detail in a recently published patent. The tech specifically "limits or disables the use of some of mobile device features which could cause distraction to the user," according to the abstract. Depending on variables like the vehicle's speed, the system determines what smartphone functions are safe to use, including texting or voice calls. Based on a plethora of permutations in the document, these restrictions could only be for the area around the driver's seat or for the whole vehicle. The key to the patent is placing antennas around the vehicle and monitoring for cellular signals. When the system detects them, it can begin selectively deciding what features to allow on the device. The tech isn't a simple on/off switch either, and can possibly detect the time of day or importance of the caller to let messages though. The major downside to all of this is the phone would need to run a specific program or firmware for all of this to work. With such a recently published patent, it might be years before the tech arrives in Hyundai vehicles, if at all. Still, this is an interesting solution. Of course, it would be far simpler if people just put down their phones. You can read the full description of the automaker's concept, here. Hyundai pushes performance in Canadian Super Bowl ad

Thu, Jan 29 2015

We keep seeing automakers put their Super Bowl ads online ahead of time, and here's one more to add to the list, although with a twist. The Internet might be the only place for many people to check out Hyundai's commercial because the spot is only playing in Canada during the game. The one-minute ad, titled Welcome to the New Age, eschews telling a narrative like many of this year's commercials. Instead, Hyundai offers a mix of energetic music over stylized imagery of the design, production and driving of the Genesis, plus a few brief cameos of other vehicles from the brand. The result is something a lot more visceral than many of the other spots so far. Too bad so many viewers are going to miss it. Autoblog reached out to Hyundai Canada for more information on the ad. According to company spokesperson Chad Heard, there is "no plan for it to be used in the US. It is specific to Canada." The spot will air during halftime.

Hyundai previews new infotainment system ahead of CES

Sun, Dec 21 2014

One of the most common refrains in the world of automotive infotainment is that soon, smartphone-enabled infotainment systems would come to dominate the industry. We've seen some progress in this regard, with a number of automakers offering apps and services that take advantage of a driver's smartphone data plan, but few that have gone whole hog and offered a system that genuinely relied on a cellular service. At the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, Hyundai will offer up its take on smartphone-enabled infotainment, with a new, seven-inch-touchscreen Display Audio system. Designed specifically to work with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the system will first be rolled out to Hyundai's more affordable 2016 offerings before rolling out to the brand's entire entry-level lineup. Once mated with the car, both systems will offer access to a plethora of third-party apps, in addition to the typical satellite navigation and text message services. Apple CarPlay users will build on the standard suite of stuff with Siri Eyes Free. Overall, whichever phone you're loyal to, this new Hyundai system sounds remarkably interesting. Of course, expect to hear plenty about the new Display Audio system in the coming months. Until then, let us know what you think in Comments. Should automakers just stick to traditional infotainment systems, or do you support the idea of relying on a smartphone inside the car? Scroll down for the full press release.
