2005 Hyundai Elantra on 2040-cars
Canastota, New York, United States
|
2005 Hyundai Elantra. A lot of Maintenance was done to this car. Brakes, Tires, front bearings. She ran strong until the Manual Clutch started to slip. Took it to a mechanic in South New Berlin, NY to put a clutch in it and now it has no 4th gear. Beware of mechanic/body shops in South new Berlin NY. Anyway, It's 250 bucks for a used Manual tranny. If you have the ability to change it, this is a strong runner that gets appx 35 mpg on the highway. Engine is STRONG. Sound system is good too. She cruises nice and straight down the road and passes a lot of gas stations.
NYState Inspection good until December. On Aug-26-14 at 02:38:48 PDT, seller added the following information: The car can not be driven unless the clutch petal cable is re-attached properly. It will need to be towed. On Aug-26-14 at 02:52:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Clutch Master Cylinder is Brand New. |

All the Hyundai Santa Cruz needs now is the green light
Thu, Dec 31 2015Ever since Hyundai took the wraps off the Santa Cruz concept nearly a year ago, we've been closely watching to see if the Korean automaker would put it into production. The signs have been looking good, but this could be our clearest indication yet. According to the company's North American product planning chief, the road ahead is clear for the compact pickup. "We're very anxious to do something with the idea," Mike O'Brien told AutoGuide. "The engineering feasibility work has been done," and 18 months of preparation have already gone into laying out the business case. Now all it needs is the green light from the head office. Hyundai unveiled the Santa Cruz concept – codenamed HCD-15 – at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The design calls for a compact pickup crossover, similar in concept to the Honda Ridgeline, but smaller. It would be targeted towards young customers interested in outdoor activities who don't want to track the elements inside their vehicle along with their mountain bikes, kayaks, surfboards, and snowboards. If approved, the Santa Cruz would likely share its underpinnings with the Tucson crossover. Hyundai sells a good 50,000 Tucsons each year in the US, and the Santa Cruz is estimated to match (if not exceed) that number, helping Hyundai double its sales based on the same platform. The Santa Cruz is also tipped to be Hyundai's first diesel model in America. "The diesel is the most promising because of the fuel economy it delivers," said O'Brien. "It best matches in our research of what these customers are looking for... Outstanding fuel economy, good torque and good driveability."
Hyundai details its five Super Bowl ads, Santa Fe is MVP [w/video]
Thu, 24 Jan 2013If the Super Bowl were Las Vegas, Hyundai would be considered one of its whales. The South Korean automaker will be advertising for the sixth straight year during The Big Game, and this time it's rolling up with five spots, four of them new. The new 2013 Santa Fe gets the star treatment, featuring in three of the spots, but the theme throughout is using "a Hyundai vehicle as the ultimate sidekick and partner-in-fun."
The four brand new commercials are:
Epic PlayDate - the headliner, uses the Santa Fe for "an unforgettable and epic play date" and features a brand new song from "a legendary alternative rock band."
Hyundai Mingtu revealed on billboard ahead of Shanghai
Fri, 19 Apr 2013The so-called Hyundai Mini-Sonata now has a proper name. Called the Mingtu in China, this new sedan will slot in between the compact Elantra and midsize Sonata, and it sports a pretty nifty look.
We've known for a while now that Hyundai is working on a more mature version of its Fluidic styling language, the first fruits of which showed up in the latest Santa Fe, and the Mingtu seems to take that refined appearance to the next level with a refined look of creased lines, a chiseled fascia and a smooth greenhouse.
There's no indication that this car will be offered in the US market, but it's certainly possible that some of its styling elements will carry over to the next Elantra or Sonata. In any case, expect a range of 1.8- and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines to be announced for the Chinese market when the Mingtu makes its official debut at the Shanghai Motor Show this weekend.
