We are simplifying life and selling our car. We are a retired couple with no smoking habits and no pets. The car is in excellent condition. We do enjoy travelling and have found that walking and taking public transport is cheaper, easier, and safer for us - so the car goes. We have taken a few driving trips in this vehicles and it has performed excellently. We get on average about 45 miles to the gallon. We are small people and travel lightly, so the more weight and the higher the climb of the destination will decrease the range of mpg. This car is a standard 6 speed. It does not have cruise control. The tires still have plenty of tread - see picture. The car oil was changed on 3/27/2013 (2 days ago) and the air and cabin filter were changed. The car comes with 2 new air filters still in their package ready for the next change and a gps garmin nuvi 350 with all the cords and adapters. We will deliver this car free of charge to any of the states except Hawaii. Please be sure to add the distance covered in the delivery to the mileage posted in the ad. We are still driving this car occassionally. Please no international bidders. Paypal is preferred payment. No installments, payment plans, or owner financing available. Payment is due within 3 days of auction end. I will gladly answer any questions via email or over the phone. Simply email and place your number in the solicitation. Please no bartering, lowballing, or trading solicitations via email or phone.

Hyundai in trouble for overstating fuel economy numbers at home, too
Sat, 28 Jun 2014
Hyundai is, understandably, "very confused by the fine and the different results."
The South Korean government is investigating Hyundai and Ssangyong, alleging that the two manufacturers overstated the fuel economy figures on some of their crossovers. But while the initial investigation is being carried out by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, a separate branch of government, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is supporting the manufacturers' estimates. See Americans, our government isn't the only dysfunctional one.

2017 Hyundai Elantra priced from $17,985
Sat, Jan 16 2016The 2017 Hyundai Elantra arrives at dealers in January with a new design and expanded range of tech for a starting price of $17,985 (including $835 destination), which gives buyers access to the latest vehicle's improvements for $100 less than the MSRP of the 2016 model. It also means the Hyundai comes in about $1,500 less than a base 2016 Honda Civic that just won the 2016 North American Car of the Year. The Elantra SE and Limited trims both use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder running on the Atkinson cycle that makes 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The company offers the base SE with a six-speed manual, but the six-speed automatic takes the model's price to $18,985. The SE doesn't come with too many frills, but the $800 Popular Equipment Package on the automatic adds features like a 7-inch Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a rearview camera, and cruise control. For another $1,300, the Tech Package provides LED running lights, blind spot detection, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and more. The Limited trim only comes with the six-speed automatic and starts $23,185. It gets expanded standard features like leather seats and LED taillights. A $2,500 Tech Package adds things like an 8-inch infotainment system with navigation, upgraded stereo, and sunroof. The $1,900 Ultimate Package then bundles HID headlights, memory seats, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and smart cruise control. Hyundai will announce pricing and details for the Eco trim closer to the launch this spring. The model will use a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder and seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to get an estimated 35 miles per gallon combined fuel economy. There will also be a Sport model later in the year, but the automaker hasn't announced any further details of that model yet.
