2006 Black Chevy Trailblazer Ss 120k Needs Transmission Work on 2040-cars
Frankfort, Illinois, United States
This is a no reserve auction for a 2006 Black SS Chevy Trailblazer , please serious bidders only ! It has 120,000 miles on it, starts/runs excellent, engine perfect. However the transmission must be going , it runs and drives but the transmission appears to be slipping in second gear when the car gets hot. It starts and runs great synthetic oil changes every 3000 miles had new hub bearing in front replaced in March, new tires and brakes December 2013 All black ,black rims a minor scuff/scrape on passenger door (pictured), little dings and minor scratches for the year of the auto is expected , I love this ride, had it since 30,000 miles, second owner, started slipping on highway, spent $250 to have it towed, tow guy said don't drive it or it will make it worse. called transmission shop they said it needs teardown for estimate and could cost over $3000, I just don't want to
Spend that kind of money or more in the trans repair no even knowing how much beforehand , this car does drive and will go in gear I was just told it may cause more damage if drove , so it is advise if you win to have the car towed to avoid any worse damage when I was driving it on the highway it started shifting funny so I got right off the highway and had it towed home so whatever was going on I didn't want it to get worst everything else seems to be working fine on this car , awesome and quick ride, tires are fairly new a lot of wear left the Interior is awesome no rips or stains in great condition Bose stereo system with subs installed ! This is a no reserve auction so please serious bidders only after auction has ended a no refundable 500$ deposit is require d 24 hour after auction has ended! !! From other auctions I think a buy-it-now of $9500 would be acceptable. Also the Winner will be responsible for arranging pick up and delivery in 60423 thanks for looking and good luck and if you have any question I can try my best to answer , 815-277-7704 Sue |

Hyundai and Kia to invest in self-driving startup Aurora
Sun, Jun 16 2019Hyundai Motor Co said on Thursday it would invest in self-driving car software startup Aurora along with Kia Motors Corp to speed up development of autonomous vehicle technologies. "With the new investment, the companies have agreed to expand research to a wide range of models and to build an optimal platform for Hyundai and Kia's autonomous vehicles," Hyundai said. Aurora said in a blog post that Hyundai and Kia's investment is part of a series B financing round, which has now raised more than $600 million. Aurora, which just announced a partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, competes with Alphabet's Waymo and General Motors' majority-owned Cruise, among others. Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each.
