2002 hyundai accent 1.5l gas sipper My loss is your gain! This car is top notch handles great, rides like new, and runs like a top! It has the fuel sipping 1.5L SOHC four cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. It has Power Steering and Power Brakes, factory A/C DELETE! It just turned 95k miles on the clock, but the mileage has a discrepancy, it shows the true mileage is 138k. It has had some bondo work done to the rear quarter panels before I bought it, as you can see in the photo, although, It is very much solid underneath, I had it grease rustproofed for the snowbelt. Please note that it has a dent in the passenger door area, a scratch on the front bumper cover, a small bubble of rust on the leading edge of the hood from a stone chip. The drivers seat bottom fabric is worn, there is a chip in the windshield glass, and the steering wheel has some sun fading. The transmission shifts great All the lights work exceptionally well, the electrics work, wipers work, and it runs fantastic. It has always been super reliable and has no check engine light or other issues. It has a clear pennsylvania title in my name. I sure will miss this car, in the past year it has had the following parts replaced. I worked at the auto parts store and got all the best quality replacement parts for it. * 4 - KYB STRUTS and BEARING PLATES * LOWER CONTROL ARMS * BALL JOINTS * NEW ROTORS, PADS, DRUMS, SHOES, PARKING BRAKE CABLES, HARDWARE AND SPRING KIT * WATER PUMP AND COOLANT FLUSH * TIMING BELT AND TENSIONER * VALVE COVER GASKET * EXHAUST FLEX PIPE * SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES * BATTERY * 4 FIRESTONE FUSION 14" TIRES ON UNIVERSAL MAG WHEELS (includes special socket) * FULLSIZE SPARE TIRE * TINTED WINDOWS AND VENT VISORS * WOOD SHIFTER KNOB * PIONEER BLUETOOTH CD PLAYER WITH 4 INFINITY SPEAKERS, AND SEPARATE SUBWOOFER WITH AMPLIFIER * GLASSPACK MUFFLER (ORIGINAL INCLUDED) * SUPER BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS All in all this is a fantastic little hatchback that has been adult owned and driven, garage kept, and maintained properly. It regularly delivers me 40 mpg on the highway commute. It is ready for many more miles without anything other than an occasional oil change and routine maintenance. If it weren't for my expanding family, I would keep this little bugger indefinitely as I had planned to when I bought it nearly two years ago. In the past year it has been driven less than 2k miles. It needs absolutely nothing and is ready to drive home and enjoy today. You can fly into the Latrobe or Connellsville airport, and drive the car home. PS word of advice in Pennsylvania, You WILL NEED PROOF OF INSURANCE FOR THIS VEHICLES SPECIFIC VIN # IF YOU INTEND TO PLATE AND DRIVE THIS VEHICLE HOME WITHIN THE 9-16 WEEKS IT TAKES FOR YOU TO RECEIVE YOUR NEW TITLE IN THE MAIL. Any questions, PLEASE ASK! Thank you!!

Hyundai shoots down the rumor claiming it is done developing engines
Tue, Jan 4 2022Hyundai has clarified that the recent rumor claiming it had stopped developing gasoline- and diesel-burning engines to focus on various forms of electrifications is false. It said that development work remains on-going and that the internal combustion engine still has a future. "Hyundai Motor Group can confirm that it is not halting the development of its engines following recent media speculation. The Group is dedicated to providing a strong portfolio of powertrains to its global customers, which includes a combination of highly efficient engines and zero-emissions electric motors," said senior group manager Michael Stewart in an interview with Motor1. The report that emerged in late 2021 claimed that the Hyundai Group (which includes the Hyundai brand, Kia, and Genesis, among other entities) had completely stopped designing piston-powered engines to focus on electrification. It claimed that most of the engineers had been assigned new roles related to electrification, though it also noted that some were staying behind to continue refining the technology. If this sounds familiar, it's likely because Hyundai recently shot down a separate but similar rumor that said it had put the hydrogen-electric powertrain it planned to install in many of its cars (including some upmarket Genesis models) on hiatus. The carmaker explained that it has merely reshuffled the team that's developing the technology because unspecified technical hurdles have slowed down the project. Several electric Hyundai models are in the pipeline, including the production version of the Prophecy concept unveiled in 2020 and a relatively big SUV previewed by the 2021 Seven concept. But, its comments suggest that more gasoline-powered models are on the way as well, which is great news; its range of N-tuned high-performance models includes excellent cars and there's still room for it to grow. Kia Soul EV starts production next month amidst modest sales projections
Thu, Mar 13 2014The hamsters in those Kia Soul commercials? Looks like they'll be riding real quiet and quite clean a little sooner than we thought. Kia is now saying it will start production of the 2015 Soul EV next month, and sales will start later this year in the company's home country of South Korea. Additionally, according to Reuters, Kia is keeping sales expectations low, suggesting it should sell about 5,000 Soul EVs a year at a price of around $39,000, though the out-of-pocket costs should be cut in half because of South Korean government subsidies. Kia's taking a somewhat conservative approach to its early sales target as it focuses largely on the US and Europe during its first phase, said Kia spokesman Michael Choo. "We are currently conducting launch feasibility studies for the secondary phase of Soul EV introduction and plan to expand sales to other countries at a later stage," he said. "Hence, we believe the sales volume of the Soul EV will steadily grow following our initial full year of sales." As for the US, Kia spokesman James Hope tells AutoblogGreen that while the company hasn't set a definitive debut date, "we are targeting Q3 of this year." Hope says Kia isn't providing Soul EV sales guidance for the US, so we'll just have to see where the EV chips fall come September or so. Reuters also notes that sister company Hyundai will start selling its own battery-electric vehicle in 2016, a timetable confirmed by Hyundai Senior Vice President Lee Ki-sang. Both Kia and Hyundai are shooting for a South Korean electric-vehicle market that they hope will expand exponentially from a total of just 713 sales last year. The front-wheel-drive Soul EV will have a 81-kilowatt electric motor, and its single-charge range will be about 120 miles. The model was first shown off at the Chicago Auto Show last month, but Autoblog scored an early prototype test drive ahead of the reveal – check out our feature drive report here. Kia Motors shows Soul EV and next-generation hybrid powertrain at Geneva Show (SEOUL) March 4, 2014 -- The new Kia Soul EV made its European debut at the 84th Salon International de l'Automobile in Geneva, Switzerland, today alongside a special technology exhibit of the brand's next-generation hybrid powertrain.
Hyundai launches Blue Link update for smartwatches
Tue, Mar 10 2015Hyundai released an update for its Blue Link app last week that makes it work through smartwatches. The app is downloaded through Google Play and works with Android Wear watches. A version that's compatible with Apple smartwatches is under development, and Hyundai expects to launch it soon after the Apple Watch launches April 24, a spokesman said. The Blue Link smartwatch app was revealed this year at the Consumer Electronics Show. Features include remote engine start and stop capabilities, remote door locking and unlocking, the ability to honk the horn and flash the lights and a function to call roadside assistance. All of the features can be done through voice commands. Hyundai's smartwatch app will work with cars equipped with first and second generations of Blue Link. The smartwatch app is a companion feature, and it needs to be paired to the owner's smartphone that has the Blue Link app. Blue Link launched on the 2012 Sonata and rolled out across Hyundai's lineup in 2013. The second-generation system is available on the 2015 Genesis, Sonata and Azera. "Blue Link subscribers and gadget lovers will appreciate a more convenient way to interact with their Hyundai vehicles," Frank Ferrara, executive vice president, customer satisfaction, Hyundai Motor America, said in a statement. HYUNDAI BLUE LINK SMARTWATCH APP AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY Android Wear Can Remote Start Your Hyundai * Smartwatch App Compatible with First and Second Generation Blue Link Equipped Hyundai Models * Commands Work with Voice Recognition FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Mar. 4, 2015 – Today Hyundai owners no longer need to fish out a phone from a pocket or purse to remote start, lock or unlock their car using Blue Link(tm). They also won't need to look down at a phone to find their car in a crowded parking lot if they can't remember where they parked after a sold out sporting event or a business trip. This is because Hyundai has launched its Blue Link smartwatch companion app to help owners with these tasks. The latest Blue Link app update on Google Play now includes the smartwatch companion app for Android Wear. The Blue Link smartwatch app will be available for the Apple Watch shortly after its release. "Blue Link subscribers and gadget lovers will appreciate a more convenient way to interact with their Hyundai vehicles," said Frank Ferrara, executive vice president, customer satisfaction, Hyundai Motor America.
