2000 Hummer H1 on 2040-cars
Trent, Texas, United States
Just email me at: adrianseekamp@netzero.net .
This truck started life as candy apple red and now it has a two-tone red/black paint scheme, which was going to come out on the 2007 Hummers before they were cancelled. The two-tone paint looks great and really gives the truck some contrast. Both the bed and rocker panel protection have been Rhino Lined for longevity. It would have been a shame to put back the old top on this fresh paint job, so both a new insulated top and slant back extension were installed. New LED marker lights and clearance lights have also been installed. A brand new light bar and LED light with CREE bulb was installed in case you need to light up the night.
The interior of the truck has some nice upgrades which include the leather trimmed seats and brand new MOMO steering wheel with H1 horn button, which is similar to what came in the ALPHA. The stereo has also been updated with better than OEM components and brand new speaker boxes. The slantback top does make reversing a little more difficult so a backup camera has been added to assist. The interior is in good conditions, with no major defects or missing trim.
Mechanically the truck has been well cared for. From what I can tell I would venture to say this truck has never left the pavement. It drives straight down the road, and is incredible clean in both the engine bay and undercarriage. Absolutely zero rust anywhere due to the fact the truck has spent its life either in Florida or Texas.
The truck will come with some extras: The truck has 3 sets of keys and each has a key fob, owner's manual, spare tire (like new condition), and original jack w/case.

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
GM renames its Detroit-Hamtramck plant Factory Zero
Sat, Oct 17 2020Maybe we'll win, saved by zero. General Motors on Friday announced that its sprawling Detroit-Hamtramck facility, which is being retooled to build electric vehicles, has been renamed Factory Zero — as in zero emissions, along with the promise of an autonomous future in which there are zero crashes and zero congestion. The company is spending $2.2 billion to retool the plant into a futuristic facility that is flexible enough to build a variety of cars and trucks across the GM portfolio of brands. GM says that's the most it has ever spent on a production facility, and when the plant's cranking out EVs at scale it will have created 2,200 manufacturing jobs. Factory Zero's first projects will be the all-electric GMC Hummer pickup and the self-driving electric Cruise Origin, both build on GM's new Ultium battery platform, with other EVs to follow. Factory Zero should start cranking out Hummer pickups by fall 2021. A Hummer SUV will come along later. Check back with Autoblog when the Hummer is revealed next Tuesday, Oct. 20. Sustainability will be another key feature. During construction, excess concrete from pours in the plant has been used to pave roads, and stormwater runoff is being recycled to charge the factory suppression system and circulate in cooling towers. The 365-acre site also has 16.5 acres of wildlife habitat — GM says monarch butterflies hang out there, along with foxes and wild turkeys. GM says it's committed to powering all its southeast Michigan plants with sustainable energy by 2023, the rest of its U.S. facilities by 2030, and overseas plants by 2040. To that end, Factory Zero has a 30-kilowatt solar carport, and a 516-kilowatt ground-mounted solar farm, from DTE. “Factory ZERO is the next battleground in the EV race and will be GMÂ’s flagship assembly plant in our journey to an all-electric future,” said Gerald Johnson, GM executive vice president of Global Manufacturing. “The electric trucks and SUVs that will be built here will help transform GM and the automotive industry.” Related Video:   Green Hirings/Firings/Layoffs Plants/Manufacturing GM Hummer hamtramck
