This Hummer was purchased new from Scottsdale Hummer and transported by car hauler to Illinois.
As you can see by the pictures, this Hummer has a custom, under the clear coat, air-brushed "Arizona Desert Sunset"
motif that turns everyone's head all the time. As you can see by the mileage, this Hummer rarely sees action...when
it does, it is on paved roadways, when it is not, it is stored in a climate controlled environment.
The overall condition is very, very nice and all the components function as they should.
The CTIS system has recently been services due to a small leak, but all is corrected.
Some of the speaker system is housed in the bed of the Hummer, with cut-out access into the cab. This is all
weatherproofed and sealed with Rhino-Lining.
The following is either standard or optional equipment installed by the manufacturer:
Heated Windshield
Air Conditioning
6.5L Turbo Diesel Engine
CTIS - Central Tire Inflation System
Cruise Control
ABS Brakes
Power Locks
Power Windows
The following optional equipment was installed by the dealership at time of purchase:
Machined Aluminum Interior Accents
Custom Airbrush Paint
Power Side Mirrors
Rear View Mirror with Digital Compass
Custom Steering Wheel
Front Grille Guard
The following equipment was installed by a Hummer Certified Service Center in 2011:
Super Swamper Tires - M16 37.50R20 (currently less than 1000 miles)
KMC XD Rockstar Wheels - 20x10
Canvas Slant Back Top Kit - (not shown in pictures, but is included in sale)
The following sound system equipment was installed in 2012:
Kenwood Excelon DNX9980HD Navigational Receiver - This provides AM and FM in HD, CD or DVD, Bluetooth phone and
audio, Garmin navigation, all controlled from a 7" touch screen display. This display also provides a full color
view of the back up camera. This receiver also features an audiophile grade pre-amplifier so everything connected
to it sounds incredible, including the proprietary connection for an iPod or an iPhone.
Sound Components - Using all JL Audio interconnect, JL Audio 2ga power and ground with fusing, and fortified by
an SVR800 stiffening battery, there are 2 JL Audio HD900/5 amplifiers. These amplifiers are totally tuned and
calibrated for frequency bandwidth, time alignment, equalization, and output level using the Audison Bit-One audio
processor. 1800 watts of power, tuned to sound perfect in the driver seat or with settings for different numbers of
occupants.
Speaker Components - 2 sets of JL Audio ZR650CSi for front and rear play very loud and very clear. An Audison
mid-range was added to the front on each side because the mid-bass driver and tweeter are quite far apart. 2 JL
Audio 10W-7 flagship subwoofers are loaded into a weather proof enclose to provide plenty of low end.
Overall...this is a very accurate sound system with enough volume available to play it over the noise level of the
vehicle itself.
Custom Install - The vehicle was originally customized and featured machined aluminum accents. The stereo
installation was done with additional matching aluminum. As this is not your typical daily driver, an onboard 2
bank charger was installed so you could park it, plug it in, and start up fresh any time you want. It automatically
keeps the batteries fully charged without charging them. A CB is also custom installed in the dash.
The retail value of this system including the custom installation is approximately $17,000.00.
* Please note that the mileage stated is accurate as of the day of this listing. The actual mileage at time of
purchase may vary by a few hundred miles due to current usage.

Humvees are now exported to China by Bob Lutz and Henrik Fisker's company
Tue, May 9 2017At Auto Shanghai, a company called Humvee Export showed off its Humvee C-Series. It's not a new design, of course, as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) has been used by the American military for decades, and versions made their way into the hands of civilians through multiple means, including via General Motors as the Hummer H1. GM discontinued the H1 in 2006, and shuttered the Hummer brand in 2010. Now, Humvee Export is building the C-Series in the US, with help from none other than Bob Lutz and VLF Automotive, to sell in China, according to Car & Driver. VLF, if you recall, is the company founded by Gilbert Villarreal, Bob Lutz, and Henrik Fisker. So far, VLF has launched the Destino, using the Fisker Karma body with a supercharged LS9 V8 engine from GM, as well as the Force 1, which is essentially a Viper-based, V10-powered supercar. Humvee Export President John Costin tells C&D that his company has contracted VLF to build its new C-Series in St. Clair, Michigan. Among Humvee Export's founders is Paul Chedid, who was once the distributor for the Hummer H1 in France. AM General, which builds the HMMWV for US and other militaries, sells C-Series kits (customers need to supply their own powertrain). VLF buys kits and finishes the build, and Humvee Export works with importers around the world to sell finished versions of the C-Series, complete with powertrain, with China being the latest market. The US is out of luck, though, as it can't be certified as a replica of a 25-year-old vehicle, thus exempting it from EPA and crash test certification under the Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act. General Motors could turn Hamtramck into its electric pickup, SUV hub
Fri, Nov 15 2019Electric off-roaders could revitalize the Detroit-Hamtramck factory that General Motors previously announced it will close. While official details remain shrouded in secrecy, analysts believe the plant will be re-tooled to manufacture at least three electric models due out during the early 2020s. The plant's scheduled closure was one of the grievances the United Auto Workers (UAW) union cited when it embarked on a 40-day strike in September 2019. General Motors agreed to keep it open without shedding much light on what it planned to build there. Analyst at LMC Automotive told the The Detroit News they believe an often-rumored electric SUV that will resurrect Hummer's name, image, or both will be one of the models assigned to the Hamtramck plant. Battery-powered variants of the GMC Sierra and the Cadillac Escalade will be made there, too, as will an enigmatic van. LMC Automotive's Jeff Schuster believes the van will come first; it could enter production as early as 2021. The Hummer — which might also be offered as a pickup — will follow before the end of 2022, while the Sierra and the Escalade will both arrive in 2023. We're taking this report with a grain of salt, though, because only one of the aforementioned models has been announced by General Motors. Rumors of a Hummer resurrection emerged in the summer of 2019, just a few weeks before we heard unverified reports of a battery-powered variant of the next-generation Escalade. General Motors confirmed plans to enter the burgeoning electric pickup truck segment, which Ford, Rivian, and Tesla also have their sights on, but it hasn't detailed how or when. The van is a mystery. General Motors refused to comment on the report. It previously announced it will keep Hamtramck open, and invest $3 billion to build electric vehicles there. The investment will create 2,225 jobs. Inaugurated in February 1985, the Hamtramck factory has churned out a diverse selection of models over the past 34 years, including Cadillac's Eldorado, Seville, and Allante, the Oldsmobile Toronado, the Buick Riviera, and more recently, gasoline-electric Chevrolet Volt. General Motors announced plans to close Hamtramck in 2018, but it quickly backpedaled and extended its lease on life until 2020 by keeping the Chevrolet Impala and the Cadillac CT6 around for a few additional months.
My year in EVs: 8 electrics that are changing the car industry
Wed, Dec 1 2021The year 2021 will go down as an inflection point in the auto industry’s transition to electric vehicles. It's when many much-anticipated models became reality. No longer sketches or sketchy prototypes, electric vehicles appeared from all corners with everything from the Lucid Air to Ford Mustang Mach-E changing how we think about transportation. I managed to drive a lot of them, and as I went through my notes, I realized IÂ’ve got a mini memoir of the seminal EVs of 2021. HereÂ’s my take on eight of them. Hummer EV Easily the most over-the-top EV I tested this year. The 1,000-hp super truck lived up to the hype with its domineering presence, stupendous power and simply being a reincarnated Hummer. I took it for a short spin on- and off-road at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and was impressed with the airy cabin, removable sky panels and expansive touchscreens. Yes, I crab walked, which felt like steering a pontoon boat, though I can see why it would be useful. Lucid Air Dream Performance The most beautiful sedan I tested all year, EV or otherwise. Unlike the futuristic Mercedes EQS — which is quite attractive — LucidÂ’s car is a blend of mid-century modern interior aesthetics and classic European exterior styling. When I walked up for my test drive, someone who IÂ’m pretty sure was comedian Jon Lovitz was sitting inside and taking it all in. As it sat in the valet of a hotel in a wealthy suburban enclave north of Detroit, the Lucid drew more attention than any of the Mercedes, Cadillacs or Lexus models passing by. The driving experience was enveloping. Starting at $169,000 for the Performance model (reservations are closed), the Lucid I sampled packed 1,111 hp and 471 miles of range. From the precise steering to the comfortable suspension, the dynamics were spot-on. It's a formidable product, and all the more impressive given itÂ’s LucidÂ’s first. Chevy Bolt EV The Bolt was the most pleasant surprise for me. It handled well, offered low-to-the-ground hot hatch dynamics and the steering was dialed-in. Adding a crossover variant for the new generation was a smart play. On a summer morning where I went to a first drive of the Ford Bronco at an off-road course, my hour-long commute in the Bolt was an enjoyable appetizer. The Bolt was also my biggest disappointment due to its extensive recalls for fire risk. Ironically, I had the Bolt in my driveway when the initial recall went out for the previous generation (2017-19).
