Most Pristine Honda S2000 In The Usa on 2040-cars
Carmel, New York, United States

There might be one Honda S2000 in the United States that is the equal of this vehicle and I would have to see it to believe it. I am the original owner of this amazingly pristine 2005 Honda S2000 with 11,811 fanatical owner miles.
I purchased this S2000 in April of 2006 and I have been that original fanatical owner to this day. I always dreamed of owning an S2000 and, when that day arrived, I made the commitment to do whatever it took to care for this vehicle to keep it as close to showroom new condition as possible. This S2000 has never seen a snowflake nor raindrop. Amazing, but true. It has been garaged by me for its entire life. It has been driven on Sundays from its garage to Cold Spring, New York and back home (36 miles) for its entire life. Of course, the vehicle has been taken on other short jaunts and that is it. The vehicle is all original with no defects, accidents, missing parts or anything other than a car in near showroom new condition. I have each and every service record. Mobil 1 oil changes every three-four months. If I waited 3,000 miles it would take three years. No other service has ever been performed on this vehicle because, amazingly enough, nothing ever malfunctioned. The motor roars to life with each press of the glorious red button. The S2000 hugs the road like it is glued to it. There is nary a squeak, squeal, nor complaint from this vehicle. It is with disbelief that I say I cannot understand why Honda stopped manufacturing this fabulous car. How have I managed to keep this S2000 in this utterly pristine condition? I knew one day, before I died, I wanted to own a Corvette. I could not afford a Corvette in 2006, but if I can sell this S2000 I can buy a Corvette. I'm 65 years old. How many sports cars does a retired teacher on a pension have? That is the ONLY reason I would ever sell this car. I want to buy a Corvette convertible. Will the Corvette be better than this S2000? You might laugh. I can tell you it won't be more lovingly made nor cared for. That's for certain. The owner has satisfied all liens on this vehicle and it is fully paid for. I am the owner and hold sole title to this vehicle. This vehicle has always been inspected and passed in New York State without qualification nor exception. |

Honda CR-Z refresh coming this fall
Thu, Aug 27 2015Despite moving just 1,562 of them through July 2015 with sales down 33.7 percent, the Honda CR-Z is somehow still kicking in the US lineup. Honda isn't ready to give up and is even announcing a refresh for the hybrid hatchback in hopes of giving the little car a jolt. Before you get too excited, the powertrain remains unaltered for the update with the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder and IMA hybrid system making 130 horsepower. The refresh arrives in Japan in October, and according to Automotive News, the improvements arrive in the US in November. The styling sees the biggest change of the revisions. Up front, the lower air dam now slices through the grille and leads right to the foglights. A similar addition is found on the rear, as well. The brake discs grow to 15-inches, an inch larger than before. Japan gets LED headlights too, but they reportedly aren't coming here to keep prices down. To match the revised exterior, there are tech tweaks inside. An upgraded infotainment system that adds both noise cancelation and an engine sound amplifier to make those 130 ponies at least sound sporty. Another tiny change is the switch to an an electric parking brake and the addition of a center armrest. Rumors suggest Honda is considering whether to dump the hybrid in favor of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the next-gen CR-Z. However, chief engineer Terukazu Torikai disagrees. When asked about the possibility of a non-electrified model, he told Automotive News, "There are no plans for that whatsoever."
Honda and Michael Bolton wish you happy holidays, social-style
Mon, 18 Nov 2013There's nothing like landing a big celebrity for a high-profile advertising campaign to say to the world "Our brand has still got it!" Dodge, for instance, has been getting huge publicity by landing Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, to pitch its entire lineup on TV and on YouTube. Honda meanwhile, has reeled in the biggest fish in the 1990s Soft Pop category, the ineffable Michael Bolton. (We're assuming that Kenny G was booked.) We don't see how this can backfire, Honda.
In an effort to promote its annual holiday-season sales event, Honda has tapped the multitalented Bolton - he sings, acts and stares longingly at you from across the room - to dangle himself as a prize for ardent social media users. That's right, for the next few days (November 18 to 22), people that use the hashtag #XOXOBolton on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Vine, will be entered to win one-of-a-kind "musical greeting cards" from the now very blond crooner.
Not enough Bolton for you? Don't worry, Honda's got Michael booked for six TV commercials to air throughout the holiday season, too. Scroll down to get lost in Bolton's luxuriant eyes watch the promotional video from Honda.
Honda exclusive to McLaren at least until 2017
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Next year Honda will return to Formula One after a seven-year absence, bringing the first Japanese automaker to compete in the top-tier racing series back into the fold. But though it started in 1964 much as it ended in 2008, running its own team (much like Ferrari and Mercedes do today), its new F1 program will see it revert to engine-supplier status (like Renault did when it sold its team to Lotus).
The arrangement will be exclusive to McLaren for the 2015 Formula One World Championship. But what fans and insiders alike have been wondering is how it might expand after that. Well, now we have at least part of the answer.
According to the F1 business insiders at Pitpass, Honda motorsport chief Yasuhisa Arai told a group of journalists at this past weekend's race in Shanghai that the deal with McLaren will be exclusive not only in 2015, but also in 2016. In other words, it won't be until 2017 at the earliest before Honda might begin supplying engines to any other teams, if at all.
