Selling my 1991 Honda Prelude SI 4WS. These cars are an absolute dream, and so much fun to drive with the 4 wheel steering. I noticed when looking for this one, it was getting extremely hard to locate them. I wish I didn't need to let her go but I have too many cars and bikes for that matter. She is in really nice shape and looks to have been taken care of most of her life. It has small dents and dings here and there, the hood has a little clearcoat peel and the paint is a little faded on the rear bumper. It has one small spot of rust on the drivers side rear quarter panel but I think it would be an easy fix. There is no other rust that I can see any where else on the car, and the undercarriage is completely rust free. If I had to rate her, I would say a 7 exterior, and 8 or 9 interior. It runs really good and hasn't given me any problems. The tires and brakes are good. It has a nice tint job all the way around, and gets a lot of looks when I drive her. I would like a local pick-up, but if you arrange all the shipping, I have no problem taking it to the shipping spot, providing it's within 50 miles or so. I am selling her in as-is condition, and buyer should arrange to look at/inspect vehicle if he or she wishes to. I am also listing the car here locally so I reserve the right to stop the auction at any time unless "buy it now" is met. Honda's U.S. Plants Build Ten Million Accords, 20 Million Total Vehicles
Fri, Mar 21 2014The ten millionth American-built Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line Friday at the Japanese automaker's plant in Marysville, Ohio, according to Autoblog. Honda is celebrating not only the Accord, which is the seventh best selling nameplate of all time, but also an accumulative 20 million Hondas built in the U.S. since the company first started manufacturing at Marysville in November 1982. Honda was the first Japanese automaker to gamble on American manufacturing. Now, 94 percent of all Hondas sold in the U.S are American-built. They are made in facilities in Ohio, Alabama and Indiana. Honda's U.S. plants manufactured 1.3 million vehicles last year - a company record. Honda currently builds the best-selling Civic and Accord, as well as the Crosstour, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline in the U.S. Acura, Honda's luxury brand, also builds cars at the American plants, including the ILX, TL, RDX and MDX. Honda, Mercedes top KBB brand image awards [w/video]
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Kelley Blue Book has announced the winners of its 2014 Brand Image Awards, which look at brands with "attributes that capture the attention and enthusiasm" of customers in the market for a new car.
The award is divided up into luxury brands and everyone else non-luxury brands, with a number of sub-awards in each group. There's also a single award for truck brands. Taking the crown for the best everyman brand (for the second year in a row) is Honda, while Mercedes-Benz was the king of the luxury brackets. Ford, meanwhile, had the best image among pickup buyers.
Honda was also named the most trusted brand among shoppers, while Kia, GMC, Mini and Chevrolet also snagged awards for value, refinement, performance and styling, respectively. Secondary winners in the luxury ranks include Lexus, Buick, Porsche and Jaguar. Mercedes was also named the most refined luxury brand.
