I am selling this Beautiful Car for a dealer price for the public instead of retail prices that all dealers charge you!!!!

This 2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L has a rebuilt title for flood damage during Hurricane Sandy. The car did not have enough damage to be a salvage car, but the only reason it was declared salvage was because the insurance companies claimed tens of thousands of cars at once because they didn't have time to go through each car.  The water only reached the very bottom of the seats. The carpet and seats were removed, washed, cleaned, and re-installed back into the car. The only thing replaced was the seat motors, SRS unit, and fuse boxes. The car was run and drive before it came from the auction, but to ensure safety for customers we replaced the fuse boxes and SRS unit. The Engine and Transmission never had water. The car was perfect when it received the DOT inspection for issuance of a rebuilt title, but after 2 weeks a check engine light popped up. With our experience we believe the problem for the check engine light is a sensor for the EVAP System because nothing is wrong with the car except the light because we have driven the car 200 miles plus to see if everything is running to factory specifications. The EVAP System is used for re-circulation of fuel and CO2 emissions. The Body electrical has nothing wrong; we have tested every single component manually and with an advance diagnostic tool to ensure no electrical faults were present. The car runs like any other 2013 Honda Odyssey. Since the car is a 2013 model you will not need emissions for two years and can drive the car with the check engine light if you didn't care. This Odyssey can be driven legally on the road because it passed safety inspection, so the only thing you would need to do would fix the check engine light and will not have to go through any inspections. Power sliding, Liftgate, or anything in the interior of the car work perfectly. The car has a huge interactive LCD display screen and surround sound entertainment. The Honda Odyssey Has been ranked the 2014-2013 best ranked Minivan on the market. This 2013 Honda Odyssey allows for a family of 8 to enjoy comfortably with exceptional gas mileage. Everything is brand new on the car. The oil, tires, brakes still have 97% life left. I have sold eight of these Odysseys on Ebay for around $25,000-$28,000, but this is the only one that I haven't had the chance to fully complete because we are backed up with 30+ cars that are flooded, so this could be a great chance for you to save thousands of dollars for something that could only cost $200 to fix. Their is no other light on the cluster except the Check Engine Light, everything else works perfectly.  In addition if you need a copy of the Carfax, Invoices, or a Buyers order please email me and I will send it to you. If you have any more questions or need more pictures please call me at 678-705-9632 or email me at  Axautoinc@gmail.com

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.

Honda patents engine with different cylinder displacements

Mon, May 9 2016

A basic rule of engine design states that the displacement of a cylinder is equal to the engine's total displacement divided by its cylinder count. Honda, according to a recently surfaced Japanese patent, is looking to break that rule with an engine containing cylinders of different sizes. We've done our best to translate it from patent-ese. The idea is that different-sized combustion chambers give more flexibility when any combination of cylinders are deactivated, or rested. Because the different numbers can be combined in various ways, it provides more and smaller increments than would an engine with equal-displacement cylinders. Take a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, for example. Following the golden displacement rule, each of the four cylinders has a volume of 500 cc, giving displacement increments of 500 cc when any cylinder is deactivated. But suppose instead that the four cylinders displace 300, 425, 600, and 675 cc, respectively. This would give the engine 15 available displacements instead of just four, and the spacing between each option would be far less than 500cc. As a result, those different virtual displacements would provide more adjustment between power and efficiency than a cylinder-deactivation system can on a conventional engine. Honda's patent describes cylinders with equal bore size, with the displacement from cylinder to cylinder varying based on the crank throw radius – the longer the throw, the longer the stroke and the larger the displacement of that particular combustion chamber. The patent describes how the cylinder sizes would need to be arranged to spread the load on the crankshaft and presumably limit vibration that would be introduced by the different pulse magnitudes. If we're interpreting things correctly, the largest cylinder (the one with the longest crank throw radius) sits in the middle of the bank with the smaller ones alternating on either side as they decrease in displacement. This concept is described for multi-cylinder inline and V-type engines of various sizes. The patent was filed in March of 2014 and published in January of this year. Whether or not this arrangement will reach production is of course unknown, but the advantages in terms of both efficiency and power seem promising. Why Honda of America won't fit 2014 Fit models with start/stop

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

One of the most recent yet notable additions to the modern vehicle's growing suite of fuel-saving technologies is the humble start-stop system. It's rather simple - when the vehicle is stopped, the engine shuts off. It then fires back up when the driver starts to take his foot off the brake or step on the clutch. For one of the most important fuel sippers of the year, though, start-stop tech is a no-go.
Honda will not be offering the system on the North American-spec, non-hybrid Fit despite it being a standard item on both the hybrid (pictured above) and gas-only Japanese domestic models. According to Honda, it's ostensibly due to the momentary lag, that occurs when the gas engine re-fires and power is available. The start-stop-equipped Fits "will lose at stoplights to V6s," Nobuhiko Shishido, the lead powertrain engineer for the Fit, told Automotive News. This is just an observation on our part, but unless the new Fit turns up with dramatically more than the current car's 117 horsepower, it'll "lose at stoplights" regardless of whatever fuel-saving features are fitted.
The other issue Honda sees is more realistic. In the world of the EPA, stop-start systems are not taken into account in fuel economy testing. That makes the cost-adding technology a tough sell for US consumers who are forced to take a dealer's word on real-world economy gains over the milage numbers on the window sticker. That said, wouldn't it at least make sense to offer start-stop as an option? Have your say in the Comments below.
