This van was donated to help raise money to cover medical expenses that were once covered by insurance,my Dad worked his entire life with his and mom's golden years preparation at the front of his mind. All was good during his first years of retirement but these last few years have seen a big cut in his medical benefit's. I am trying to raise money to help with home health care and to put in ramps-handicap shower unit etc...

After suffering a massive heart attack a triple bypass surgery would save Dad's life, while on a positive road of recovery Dad was diagnosed with parkinson. He's a fighter and has made the best of what he has to work with, however now he has been told he should do little to no standing or walking,he has had a few fall's due the extreme low blood pressure mixed with his nerves being attacked by parkinsons, his latest fall almost took him out.

That is why I am trying to raise money to get Dad a Hover Round chair and do modifications to his and mothers home to allow him to be as independent as possible. The project is expensive but whatever it takes I am getting it done, with myself and my very good friends help we figure we can have Dad set up for approx. $10,000.00, outside estimates were as high as $23,000.00,we've already done some.

Through ebay we have already raised close $400.00 in 5 days and have bids on items listed currently, now we've been Blessed with 2 vehicles to sale,I am thankful to each and everyone who bids and amazed at the kind emails. Dad collected some old toys over the years and we are going to continue to list a few every week at a 5 day no reserve auction until they are all gone to help with in home nurse expense.

I would appreciate a good clean auction with a follow through ending,I need to have no payment issue's so I can keep moving on this project and I thank you in advance for that. I won't sell the vehicles outside of the ebay's no reserve auction but I do welcome anyone interested to come visit in person and check it out,we also have a large garage sale going on at the same site with a bunch of great stuff.

Since this vehicle was donated I am also passing on %10 of the net sale minus listing fee's expense to a charity of the buyers choice, the buyer can submit the charity information to me prior to pick up and I'll send a certified check with confirmation on their behalf to the chosen charity.
Thanks and happy bidding to you all...

2000 Honda Odyssey LX 3.5 VTEC Automatic transmission, loaded with all working power options. Runs strong drives out good and handles as it should, the transmission does shift fast like a shift kit from first to second however does shift out more smooth the more it is driven and goes through all other gears just fine. See the video it explains the personality of the transmission and possibly will ad less worry or concern. The van has been driven the last 5 years with the transmission first gear action with no issue. The air conditioning is very cold, leather seats are nice over stuffed and very comfortable, dash door panels and head liner clean, carpet is decent and mat's are worn but good. Big hauling capacity in rear and to ad even more it has easy fold removable rear seats. I loaded the back up to give you a idea of the room, front tires are decent and will run out a good many miles, rear tires were recently replaced new. You'll save big money in gas with this van it get's 35-40 mpg according to the donor.Clean clear Indiana title in hand, Please check out the picture's and video link for more complete details.

I'm looking for a serious no nonsense cash buyer only. If you have less than 5 feedback please contact me prior to bidding for verification otherwise you and your bid will be removed, this is a no reserve auction the highest bidder will win,the time to check out the vehicle in person is prior to bidding, there will be no joy rides after the auction ends just a simple transaction of money and title. You can bid with complete confidence, I have given a honest and as complete description as I can, there is a video link below as well and I encourage you to check the vehicle out in person.

Honda Accord under investigation due to airbag failures

Sat, Aug 22 2015

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a preliminary evaluation into the possibility of airbags not deploying in the 2008 Honda Accord. The agency has received 19 reports, including one injury, of the airbag control module failing, and the part is on an estimated 384,000 of the vehicles in the US. "For vehicles with a failed SRS module, some or all of the airbags may be unavailable in a crash warranting deployment," NHTSA's investigation says. Drivers are warned when the part stops working by a light on the instrument panel, but several of these reports indicate the module is unable to show diagnostic trouble codes when being inspected. The only way to fix the issue is to replace the whole component, and the Detroit News reports that can cost $500 or more. NHTSA's preliminary evaluations investigate "the scope, frequency, and consequence" of a problem and don't necessarily mean a recall is warranted. INVESTIGATION Subject : SRS Module Failure Date Investigation Opened: AUG 18, 2015 Date Investigation Closed: Open NHTSA Action Number: PE15029 Component(s): AIR BAGS All Products Associated with this Investigation close Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) HONDA ACCORD 2008 Details Manufacturer: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) SUMMARY: ODI has identified 19 VOQ reports alleging failure of the air bag SRS control module. One of the reports involved a frontal crash event where the frontal air bags did not deploy. The crash resulted in an injury to the driver and lone occupant, and the vehicle was subsequently inspected by the agency. According to the reports, the failure of the SRS module is indicated by the air bag readiness indicator lamp illuminating on the instrument panel. Consumers report the SRS control module had to be replaced to correct the condition. Several reports indicated that the SRS module was unable to communicate thus preventing diagnostic trouble codes from being retrieved. An inability of the SRS unit to communicate raises concern about the readiness of the entire supplemental restraints system. As a result, for vehicles with a failed SRS module, some or all of the air bags may be unavailable in a crash warranting deployment. ODI is opening this investigation to further evaluate the scope, frequency, and consequence of the alleged SRS module failures.

Honda Wander Walker, Stand will roam around, around, around [w/video]

Wed, Oct 28 2015

They do things differently in Japan, and we're not just talking about the adorable kei car. No, the concept vehicles that debut at the Tokyo Motor Show are decidedly different than what you might see in Geneva or Detroit. Case in point – the Honda Wander Walker and Wander Stand Concepts, which we previewed late last month. Despite its name, the Wander Walker is quite obviously a four-wheeled scooter that'd look right at home being driven by the elderly IKEA enthusiast in some futuristic metropolis. The front wheels turn to darn near 90 degrees, blessing the Wander Walker with a mere one-meter turning circle. The impressive maneuverability is down to this thing being tiny. Check out the picture if it next to everyone's favorite robot, Asimo, for scale. That makes it a prime mobility solution for the cramped confines of urban Tokyo, a fact that's reinforced by its super-model skinny 21.25-inch width. That size allows the Walker to squeeze through the turnstiles to board Japan's ultra-efficient train network. It's unclear what kind of power is in use here, but it's almost certainly electric. The top speed is a leisurely 3.7 miles per hour. (A quick Wikipedia search reveals humans walk at about 3.1 mph, so yes, this is at least a bit faster than walking.) If the Wander Walker is a futuristic scooter, the Wander Stand looks like a waiting room on wheels. Unlike the Walker, it'll accommodate two adults who can ride side-by-side in a 72.8-inch tall, 49.2-inch wide, and 78.4-inch long box. Like so many futuristic bits of tech, the Wander Stand throws information up on the windshield, which sits atop a futuristic dash. What sets this concept apart from the average kei car, is the Honda Omni Traction Drive System, which allows the usual movement forward and back, but also gives drivers the ability to drive laterally or even diagonally. Again, Japan is a tight place, and this kind of ability grants drivers a lot of leeway in urban driving. We've got a few images direct from Honda available above and below, while you can also look forward to a full array of live images, direct from the floor of the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda Civic will show its hatchback in Geneva

Fri, Feb 26 2016

Honda is bringing a conceptual look at the new Civic Hatchback to next week's Geneva Motor Show. But we think it'll be that in name only – Honda has a history of showing very production-looking 'concepts'. Given these recent spy shots, showing a very well-developed, five-door Civic, the production model should arrive before we know it. The new Civic is a seriously pretty car, and from some angles the four-door sedan already has a hatch-like appearance. We love the look of this cobbled-together prototype; the rounded-off rump in no way ruins the Honda's lines. There's even a center-mounted exhaust, which makes us super happy, though that might just be reserved for more powerful Si or Type R models. Standard five-door Civics will probably use the same engine lineup as the rest of the range – a naturally aspirated, 2.0-liter inline-four on the base end, and a turbocharged, 1.5-liter four in higher trims. Honda's also working on a turbo/manual pairing, which will likely be our powertrain du jour. We'll get a sort-of-conceptual look at the Civic Hatchback next week. Until then, scroll through the gallery of spy shots up top to see this little cutie from all angles. Related Video:
