This is a very GREEN car, as it has gotten more than 62 mpg in the ten years it has been driven. This is an aluminum body with hybrid electric motor to assist the one liter 3 cylinder engine. She doesn't leak fluids, nor burn them nor leak them. There is no rust and when I bought it in July of 2012, she had a 95 rating out of 100 on the index. There are two seats with a large deck with net to hold cargo. The tires have at least 80% of their original tread and the hybrid battery has only 35,000 miles and they average more than 100,000. This car has a new clutch with less than 1,000 miles plus new vapor guard system. These two items cost more than $2.000 and were done professionally. I have another Insight and they each had a "Grid Charger", which gives them a full hybrid battery charge if it's worn down from a lot of stop and go or uphill travelling. So, the lead has been installed and is ready to be plugged into a charger. I'm not aware of any smoking in this car nor does it smell like this happened. I bought this from the original owner and it was to be my second Insight, but my wife bought a new car and I "inherited" her Volvo, so that's why I'm selling this car. We live 10 miles north of Portland Maine. I would be willing to ship the car at the new owner's expense. I'd prefer you pick it up. I would be willing to meet you at the bus, train or jet port.

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year finalists revealed

The finalists for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year were announced Tuesday at AutoMobility LA ahead of the 2016 LA Auto Show. Approximately 60 judges, including Autoblog's editor-in-chief Mike Austin, evaluated over 40 vehicles and named three models as the finalists in each category. The award for the Utility Vehicle of the Year is new for 2017 and separates SUVs, crossovers, and minivans from pickup trucks. Honda NM4 concept motorcycles channel Akira

Honda has rolled out a pair of new motorcycle concepts at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home market of Japan, and they're our first glimpse at the company's "neo-futuristic" NM4. Shown in both stealthy black and an eye-catching white, the NM4s are sharp creations that feature interesting riding positions.
Honda calls the concepts' seating "the cockpit position," claiming that it unifies bike with rider. We don't know about that, but we will admit that compared to most sportbike seats - which are more or less just bits of padding to squeeze between your legs - these bikes' saddles look more or less like conventional seats. Honda says that their backrests are adjustable, which should provide a comfortable riding experience. Still, with these bikes' sporting looks, we can't imagine their low seats are going to be great for dipping knees through the bends (although the should lower the center of gravity, so perhaps it's a wash).
Both show bikes, NM4-01 and NM4-02, are powered by 745-cc, two-cylinder engines, while dual-clutch transmissions are employed to dispatch unspecified amounts of power to their wide rear tires. The bikes are nearly identical save for different colors, but the NM4-02 features an integral set of hard panniers for increased utility. We've got a gallery of both, so hop up above and take a look. Honda Urban SUV Concept leaks out ahead of Detroit debut

Next up on the 2013 Detroit Auto Show embargo-break-a-palooza: the Honda Urban SUV Concept. Thanks to Indian Autos Blog, we now have the first press shots of the small crossover concept - a vehicle that will someday make it to production, riding on the Honda Fit platform.
It may have some big features - namely, the large headlamps, big wheels, and bold body lines - but the Urban SUV Concept will compete with smaller vehicles like the Nissan Juke or Fiat 500L. Indian Autos Blog reports that both 1.6- an 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are being speculated for use in the production model, as well as a diesel powerplant for foreign markets.
