Sun roof is bubbling and does not work. It will open but wont close. Its closed now but because it is broken small amount water will leak through into the hatch if it sits in the rain. I have kept the car garaged and it has not been an issue. Both rear quarter panels are rust free!!!! Car spent most of its life in Texas Drivers side door trim is missing. It flew off on the highway at the top of third on the last motor; there was no going back for it. Driver side headlight is cracked (still works) Front windshield has crack in it Suspension, Tires, and Brakes Stock (but still safe) After market traction bar (not sure what brand) I think they may be old is wheels, tires have 5,000 miles on them Suspension stock but fine at responsible speeds, no alignment issues. Brakes are also stock but life left in pads Interior No Radio/ Harness cut but still room to splice. You wouldn't be able to hear it any way Si door panels Si seats/ no tears The rear of car is gutted/ I have all the pieces not in the best shape, some of the hard plastic cracked getting it out. Plus with the battery and nitrous bottle dont think it will fit right any ways CRX Need 2 Know This car is very modified and is not a Dailey driver All the modifications on the motor list are brand new Due to the big cams and high compression pistons, it does not cold start well. You have to rev is to 2 grand for 45 sec, and then you have to blip the throttle when the cams or lobbing or it will die. Once it gets to running temperature it will idle at 1000 rpms and the cams stop lobbing, and it wont die. In the winter time you need to disconnect one of the fans because it runs too cold and the vtec wont engage, its also bad to run in cold weather. I would recommend getting a toggle switch for both fans. This car was tuned on 93 octane. You can get away with 91 but I wouldn't recommend it. The exhaust is very, very loud. This car will not pass an emissions test, know your state laws before you bid. I got it licensed in Missouri where cars 95 and older dont need an emissions test Cigarette lighter is hard wired to fuse box for radar detector (can easily be pulled out) Since car has been sitting it needs a jump even though battery is newer and not used. (prob because of cigarette lighter) I have been very honest and I recommend seeing the car in person. This would be a great car and a steal to the right person and a nightmare to others. If you have cash in hand you can drive it but all risk is on you. It's unregistered and uninsured. It's loud and you will be pulled over, the wildwood cops hate me and pull that car over if im going the speed limit. So I would be cautious driving it home until you leave wildwood. It also needs an oil change before you rip through the gears no miles on the oil but its 7-8 months old. If your serious about buying I may change the oil so you can drive it home but I really dont want to spend any more money on it. I am very aware of scams I will not pay w3st3rn uni0n for delivery charges and if you use cashiers check or money order it will be confirmed by bank before title is signed over and car is released. Please do not email about faded paint and how cool your body kit is on your crx I dont care. I built this car with the sleeper look in mind and remember brakes, suspension, and paint is pennies compared to the price of a built motor and a proper obd1 hondatas300 ecu wired correctly. |

Major automakers post mixed US June sales figures
Mon, Jul 3 2017General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV posted declines in US new vehicle sales for June on Monday, while major Japanese automakers reported stronger figures. Once again, demand for pickup trucks and crossovers offset a decline in sedan sales. Automakers' shares rose as overall industry sales still came in above Wall Street expectations. The US auto industry is bracing for a downturn after hitting a record 17.55 million new vehicles sold in 2016. Analysts had predicted that overall, US vehicle sales would fall in June for the fourth consecutive month. As the market has shown signs of cooling, automakers have hiked discounts and loosened lending terms. Car shopping website Edmunds said on Monday the average length of a car loan reached an all-time high of 69.3 months in June. "It's financially risky, leaving borrowers exposed to being upside down on their vehicles for a large chunk of their loans," said Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds' executive director of industry analysis. GM said its sales fell about 5 percent versus June 2016, but that the industry would see stronger sales in the second half of 2017 versus the first half. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." GM shares were up 2.4 percent in morning trading, while Ford rose 3.3 percent and FCA shares jumped 6 percent. "US total sales are moderating due to an industry-wide pullback in daily rental sales, but key US economic fundamentals clearly remain positive," said GM chief economist Mustafa Mohatarem. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." Ford said its sales for June were hit by lower fleet sales to rental agencies, businesses, and government entities, which fell 13.9 percent, while sales to consumers were flat. But it sold a record 406,464 SUVs in the first half of the year, with Explorer sales increasing 23 percent in June. And sales of the F-150 had their strongest June since 2001. On a media call, Ford executives said an initial read of automakers' sales figures indicated a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of around 17 million new vehicles for the month, which would be better than 16.6 million units analysts had predicted. FCA said June sales decreased 7 percent versus the same month a year earlier.
NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds Β AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Β The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced today a historic commitment by 20 automakers representing more than 99 percent of the U.S. auto market to make automatic emergency braking a standard feature on virtually all new cars no later than NHTSA's 2022 reporting year, which begins Sept 1, 2022. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
Honda's Uni-Cub hacked to be a boombox and a personal guide
Wed, Aug 3 2016Honda has a history of developing technology that strays from its famous car and motorcycle lines. A few years ago, the company added to that legacy of gadgets that aren't cars by introducing the Uni-Cub personal mobility device. It was more or less a Segway that did away with the whole standing thing, meaning that riders simply had to sit down and lean in whatever direction they wanted to go. That's all well and good, but Honda wanted to see what else the device could be used for, so the company updated the mobility chair to allow other people to code applications for it. Then Honda hosted a hack-a-thon for people to come out and see what they could do with it. Based on the video above, it seems plenty of people have ideas for the little wheeled wonder. One team developed the perfect party companion by attaching a speaker to the Uni-Cub and creating an app that would let people upload tracks to a playlist from their phone. And since the Uni-Cub is mobile, it can bring the tunes to wherever the people are. All it needs now are some cup holders. Another team developed a way to get people around new, confusing office buildings by turning the Uni-Cub into a guide. Upon entering a building, a person can request a Uni-Cub to come pick them up and then hop on to take a ride to their destination. The Uni-Cub can then return to its home base, and, if the person programs it ahead of time, can return on its own to take the user back to the entrance. Of course this would mean no more excuses to showing up late to a meeting. None of these ideas are planned for any sort of production, but they certainly are interesting. That said, our favorite Uni-Cub application remains the video for OK Go's "I Won't Let You Down". You should probably just go watch that one again.
