2008 Honda CRV EX 4WD
My wife purchased this CRV new in October of 2008- Last few made before 09' year. The CRV has served us FLAWLESSLY without any repairs, problems or issues throughout the life so far. We have completed normal oil changes with FULL SYNTHETIC 5W-20, as required by Honda every 4-6K miles. Tires were replaced at approx 45K miles and have a 70K mile warranty( I do not know if it will transfer?). They are all around 50-60% currently. Front brakes were just replaced last November. Rears are still decent. Everything works as it should, inside and out, with the exception of the ambient air temperature sensor that shows on the dash. It is never accurate and was never an issue that I cared to pay a dealer $90/hr to look at. The exterior has one small dent below the door handle of the Drivers side door, thanks to a shopper at the grocery store and their in-ability to put a cart in the corral! There are other small scratches and chips from normal city and highway driving, but nothing major. The interior is black and has small seat stains from normal use, but is very clean and presentable. Carpets have had weather mats on-top since the day we purchased the car so carpets aren't stained or damaged. No rips or tears in the interior. This car served my wife VERY well and she just upgraded to a new Honda CRV. I have driven this car almost daily over the winter and am purchasing a truck so we do not need this anymore. Car runs and drives 100% without noises, issues or problems. I do not know of any issues regarding the car. We ARE NOT selling due to an accident or problems, just selling as we do not need it and hate to let it sit! Has never been wrecked, has had a good maintenance schedule, doesn't need major expenses such as tires or repairs, and is 100% ready to drive across country. I am selling the Honda as-is, because it is a used car. Ebay is not a chance to bid and then come to look at the car. YOU ARE BIDDING TO OWN IT! If you want to view it before the auction ends, feel free to call me at the number below. Or feel free to contact a service center locally and I can have them inspect it for you. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit thru Paypal within 24 hours, and the balance upon pick-up. You can wire the money, bring cash or wait to pick-up until ANY TYPE of check clears my account(can take up to 10 days). I will not release the car until I have the funds. The title is 100% clean and free of loans/leans and is in my possession. Call with questions or concerns. Andrew 419-810-904two |

Honda Vision XS-1 Concept looks like a sportier Vezel [w/video]
Wed, 05 Feb 2014We've talked a lot about the Honda Vezel over the past few months, as the Autoblog staff is looking forward to the Fit-based CUV. It's a handsome little vehicle, that we think will do quite well when it finally arrives in the US market. That said, it's not a particularly exciting vehicle to look at.
Along with the appearance of the Mugen-tuned Vezel at the Tokyo Auto Salon, though, a new concept that's being shown by Honda today at India's Delhi Auto Expo has us hopeful for a Vezel that looks a bit more assertive. It's called the Vision XS-1 Concept, and it's a seven-passenger (yes, seven) crossover that features minivan-style sliding doors. It sports Honda's "Exciting H Design," which is the same design philosophy used by the stylists that penned the new Fit. Unfortunately, at the moment, Honda has provided exactly zero details about what powers its new concept.
As a concept for the Indian market, which is home to some of the tightest, most congested roads on the planet, the stylish XS-1 is meant to demonstrate that Honda knows a thing or six about building compact vehicles. In that regard, we think it's a spot-on piece of work. Let us know what you think of it in Comments, but first, have a look up top for a gallery of images and then scroll down for a brief video and the official press release from Honda.
Is Acura working on a premium minivan?
Mon, 10 Nov 2014Here's a vehicle that nobody saw coming. Unless Honda/Acura is keen to play tricks on us, our spy shooters recently caught what appears to be an Acura minivan fully camouflaged for testing on some back roads on a rainy day.
Details on the disguised minivan are rather scarce, but it certainly bares all the hallmarks of an Acura. The front grille alone gives it away with a look that mimics the latest MDX, and note that the orientation of the rear door handle heavily suggests that it slides to open. Moving inside, the tester appears to borrow some tech from the luxury brand's parts bin too, and the Acura logo seems to be covered in tape right in the middle of the steering wheel.
Mechanically, our spies believe that the production version of Acura's minivan might borrow the brand's V6, nine-speed automatic and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive - a similar layout to some trims of the TLX. The photographers also think that the vehicle is a little wider than the current Honda Odyssey to give occupants a bit more room. Given the more luxurious focus, the high-end model would surely carry seven people with a bit more opulence than the standard Odyssey, especially, we'd imagine, for second-row passengers. A launch for this posh hauler could be slated for the 2016 or 2017 model years.
Honda installs 3-minute, fast-fuelling hydrogen fuel station in California
Fri, Mar 7 2014OK, but let's see how well Honda can control hydrogen refueling temperature in Houston or Buffalo. That's what some pessimists may be saying now that the Japanese automaker has installed a fast-fueling hydrogen station in the oh-so-temperate environs of Torrance, CA. That city is about 20 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles and a sliver of it actually touches the Pacific Ocean, so we're not talking about wild swings in air temperature here. Honda is calling its fast-refueling platform the MC Fill (we'd expect a lawsuit if it was McFill, even though that'd be clever) and says that filling up takes about 45 percent less time than the typical hydrogen-refueling station. That's because the system monitors the ambient temperature in order to speed up the process. There's more scientific stuff in there - for example, the fact that the MC name comes from the "two key values in a heat transfer equation- 'M' for mass and 'C' for specific heat" - but the long and the short of it is that a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle can fill up in less than three minutes. That's pretty impressive, despite the distinct lack of vehicles needing to charge that fast today. Honda unveiled its FCEV Concept vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November. The five-seat vehicle has a range of more than 300 miles, while its fuel-stack power density is about 60 percent higher than its previous version. The production version is due to arrive in the US in 2015. Check out Honda's press release below. Honda R&D Installs Advanced Fast-Fill Hydrogen Refueling Station -- New station on Honda R&D Americas' Torrance, California campus built in anticipation of Honda's next-generation fuel cell electric vehicle, due in 2015 -- Honda-developed hydrogen refueling protocol significantly reduces fill time TORRANCE, Calif., March 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Preparing for the 2015 introduction of the next Honda fuel cell-electric vehicle (FCEV), Honda R&D Americas has installed a state-of-the-art hydrogen refueling station on its Torrance, California campus. This advanced station will serve as a platform for demonstrating and validating the enhanced hydrogen fueling protocol developed by Honda, named the MC Fill. With the aim of standardizing this new protocol, Honda will make the new research station available to other automakers to further validate the MC Fill protocol's performance and functionality.
