This is a great Honda CR-V, built to last. I bought it used a few months ago. I am selling because I need something slightly bigger, like a Pilot.
This car was well taken care of by the previous owner. There were oil changes every 3k miles at a dealership. I have kept up the maintenance except I use synthetic oil so the oil change is every 5k. You should definitely get the CarFax on this one, that details all the service, etc. The interior is immaculate and shows very little wear for a car that is 8 years old, actually there is very little wear, period. The steering is tight and responsive, this car is AWD and holds the road like it's on rails. Smoker free. I changed the transmission fluid and it was still clear. The car does not burn oil. A/C blows very cold, I never had it on max all summer. Tires have at least 40k, maybe 50K life left in them. Brakes are about 75%. There is a dent in the center of the hood from what looks like a walnut falling upon it. The right front passenger window rolls down slowly - I have the parts to fix that and will for the new owner. Also, many 2005's had a problem with the driver's seat belt sensor failing and causing the airbags to not function. The SRS (supplemental restraint system) is a lifetime warranty part so I had that fixed. Everything else works great. The fuel economy is 20 city and 25 hwy, I routinely get 23 - 24 around Atlanta in mixed driving. I'm not looking to make any profit on this sale, I just want close to what I owe on it. Let's negotiate. It would be best if you test drove the car, and you can if you travel to Buford, GA. If not, you'll need to arrange shipping. I bought my other truck from eBay and had it shipped from Utah, it's not a big deal. Also, I will take it to your mechanic for a once over. You pay for the mechanic. |

Honda Super Cub first vehicle to receive 3D trademark in Japan
Tue, 03 Jun 2014The term "iconic" gets thrown around a lot, but if there was ever a design worthy of the honorific, surely it's the Honda Super Cub. That's not just our opinion, though: it's the official word from the Japanese Patent Office, which has recognized the classic scooter's shape with a three-dimensional trademark.
The category was introduced in Japan back in 1997 to immortalize distinctive designs, and is subject to very strict criteria. In fact, this marks the first time it has been applied to a vehicle - and one of the few industrial products to be awarded the recognition.
Little wonder it was applied to this little wonder, too. With over 87 million units made since its introduction in 1958, Honda claims the Super Cub to be "the world's largest selling vehicle," with production taking place at 15 factories in 14 countries and sales in 160 markets around the world.
2016 Honda Pilot to pack 280 hp, new Intelligent Traction Management system
Fri, Apr 10 2015Honda has released a spate of details on the all-new, third-generation Pilot, building on the information that was distributed way back at the car's 2015 Chicago Auto Show debut. Included in this latest release are power figures for the 3.5-liter Earth Dreams V6, a breakdown of trim levels and details on the new Intelligent Traction Management system. Let's start with that V6, which makes the Pilot the latest vehicle to be fitted with Honda's Earth Dreams technology. Regardless of whether it's mated to the standard six-speed automatic or the optional nine-speed gearbox, the 3.5-liter mill produces 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. That's 30 more hp and 7 more lb-ft than the current model. While Honda isn't quite ready to release fuel economy figures, we have high hopes for the V6/9AT combo. The other big announcement coming today regards Honda's new Intelligent Traction Management system. The technology functions a lot like Land Rover's Terrain Response, Jeep's Selec-Terrain and Ford's Terrain Management System, providing owners with a number of condition-specific presets for the throttle response, shift mapping and stability control to maximize performance on the selected terrain. What makes the Honda system different, though, is that it's not limited to all-wheel-drive models. That said, the front-drive model is neutered to a degree, with its ITM only offering a Snow mode, compared to the all-wheel-drive Pilot's Mud, Sand and Snow settings. Still, considering the big Honda's role as a family hauler, a dedicated setting for driving in the snow will likely be welcomed by family types, especially in northern climates. Speaking of that AWD model, it uses a new system, called i-VTM4 (short for Intelligent Variable Torque Management for all Four Wheels). If you dig past the marketing speak, though, you'll find this system has a lot in common with the Acura Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, in that it transfers torque not only between the front and rear axles, but laterally between the rear wheels. We reached out to Honda to see what, if any, differences there are to the system, but they didn't get back to by press time. Check out the official press release from Honda, available below.
Honda Civic poised to get new Earth Dreams engines
Mon, 24 Jun 2013When Honda executed its emergency refresh of the Civic for 2013, it didn't do any massive powertrain reworking. But that doesn't mean new things aren't already in the works for Honda's compact. According to Automotive News, Honda has confirmed that it will offer the Civic with a new Earth Dreams powerplant sometime in the future, though details on timing and exactly what sort of engine are unclear as of this writing.
The confirmation comes from Honda's executive vice president and regional director for North America, Tetsuo Iwamura, who says that the Earth Dreams engine will come when the Civic is re-engineered or redesigned, not during a refresh. There is also no mention of whether these changes will apply to just the standard Civic, or if the Si and Hybrid models will receive some Dreamy new tech, as well.
The entire Earth Dreams group of technologies encompasses more than just naturally aspirated engines with direct injection. A turbo-diesel engine is also part of this suite, as are new continuously variable transmissions and new gasoline-electric hybrid powerplants. Honda launched its 2.4-liter and 3.5-liter Earth Dreams engines in the redesigned 2013 Accord.
