Honda Civic Hybrid 2008 W Exceptional Gas Mileage! on 2040-cars
Glendale, California, United States
|
This 2008 civic hybrid is in great
shape and drives perfectly. It has a clean california title. It was a
well maintained 1 owner vehicle with lots of highway miles when we
bought, and we sought it out because my fiance needed a reliable vehicle
for her sales job with high MPG. Its been great for us, but
unfortunately she needs a slightly larger vehicle for work. We just had
it serviced with new brakes front and back (including reconditioning
and replacement of rotors), serpentine belt(s?), engine and cabin air
filter, and an oil change. As
mentioned in the condition section, it does has a few small scraps and
dings that you might expect from a vehicle with higher mileage. also
has one longer scrape along the passenger side which is hard to notice
(almost impossible to see in the pictures), but does cause the passenger
door to catch a bit when opening it, and the side mirror mount was
knocked loose. we reattached the mirror, which was not cracked or
chipped at all, and it is pretty secure. The mirror controls still work
perfectly, and the mirror is perfect, but the whole piece no longer
bends in (like you might do for a tight parking spot). The
IMA/engine light comes on and off(IMA is honda's hybrid Integrated
Motor Assist), and sometimes the battery charge will go from full to
zero then slowly recharge, but wether the light is on or off we've still
gotten close to 45 mpg on highway trips. (see the pictures for shots of
the trip and MPG during a drive down to san diego when the light was
on, then turned off) (for
california residents: this car requires NO SMOG, and is registered
until dec 2014, with zero DMV fees owed. I don't know if other states
require emissions/smog from hybrid vehicles) This is a really terrific and reliable car, and has honda's unbeatable reputation and resale value. The
auction is pick up only, but i wouldn't hesitate to drive this car
across the country and can arrange delivery with a service like uship,
or possibly even deliver it myself for a fee. Feel free to ask any questions! |

Honda previews next-gen JDM Odyssey minivan
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Some automakers market the same cars around the world, while others offer different models - even under the same nameplate - for different markets. We're thinking of cars like the Volkswagen Passat or the previous Mazda6. Honda's been known to do so as well, with models like the Accord and Odyssey, which are completely different in North America than they are in other parts of the world.
Now Honda has provided the first glimpse at the Odyssey minivan it offers for the Japanese Domestic Market (as well as Europe and other parts of the world). Though more compact than the US-market version, the new overseas Odyssey appears larger than the model it replaces, with a taller roofline increasing interior space.
Though Honda hasn't released the model's full specifications, power is expected to come from a 2.4-liter inline-four mated to a continuously variable transmission. Beyond that, buyers will likely be able to choose between front- and all-wheel drive, two cabin layouts, two interior colors and seven or more exterior paints. The images also point towards blind-spot and auto-braking systems and an apparent eco mode. Although unconfirmed, we expect to see the new JDM Odyssey make its debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
15 vehicles most likely to surpass 200,000 miles
Tue, Mar 8 2022Americans drive a lot. Collectively, we put, on average, more than 13,000 miles on our cars each year according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Because of this, a vehicle's ability to travel long distances without major problems is a huge consideration when it comes time to purchase a new one. It's also worth remembering that keeping an older car on the road instead of trashing it and buying new can be considered an eco-friendly decision. After all, it takes a lot of resources to build a car. iSeeCars.com, a website that aggregates used car listings from all around the country, recently ran through the numbers on millions of vehicles that are currently on the road to determine which last the longest. Alternatively, you could choose to look at this list as vehicles likely to be driven by owners who travel long distances. Either way, we've laid out the top 15 vehicles most likely to hit or even surpass the 200,000-mile mark. It's important to note that while these are the vehicles that have stood the test of time up until today, we can't guarantee future results if you decide to opt for one of these from a current model year. That said, unless we specifically say so in the text below, we've used pictures of current models for illustrative purposes. Now, with all of that out of the way, scroll on down for the top 15 vehicles most likely to crest 200,000 miles. 15: Toyota Sienna 14: Honda Odyssey The 15th spot and 14th spot on the list of the top 15 vehicles most likely to surpass 200,000 miles are both minivans. Spoiler alert: They will be the only two minivans on the list. According to iSeeCars, 3.2% of both of these family haulers crest the 200,000-mile mark, making them the best bets for families looking to put a ton of miles on their machines. 13: Honda Ridgeline 12: GMC Yukon The next spot on the list is occupied by the Honda Ridgeline pickup truck with 3.7% lasting past 200,000 miles. Unlike any of the other midsize trucks it competes with, the Ridgeline is based on a unibody chassis. Opting for this more car-like structure — as opposed to a traditional body-on-frame layout — allows Honda's hauler to ride and drive more like a car. Up next is the GMC Yukon, also with 3.7% past the 200K mark, and the first, but very much not the last, big traditional SUV you'll see on the list. In fact, get ready to see a whole bunch of 'em, including several from GMC parent General Motors.
Honda Civic, Volvo XC90 named 2016 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year
Mon, Jan 11 2016It's a great day to be the Honda Civic and Volvo XC90. These cars are the official 2016 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year, with the awards just having been announced at the Detroit Auto Show. The Civic is a great car, and a fantastic entry in the compact class. To us, its win isn't a surprise, though our enthusiast hearts were really rooting for the runner-up Mazda MX-5 Miata. The new Chevy Malibu was also a finalist for this year's award. As for the Truck/Utility award, we wholeheartedly agree with the Volvo XC90 choice. It's a fantastic-looking, premium, tech-forward vehicle, and represents a huge step forward for Volvo here in the United States. But its runners-up, the Nissan Titan XD and Honda Pilot, are also great choices, bringing a lot of stiff competition to some pretty important segments. Here's how the jury voted: Car of the Year Honda Civic – 203 points Chevy Malibu – 181 points Mazda MX-5 Miata – 146 points Truck/Utility of the Year Volvo XC90 – 310 points Honda Pilot – 111 points Nissan Titan XD – 109 points
