2010 Honda Civic R18 (EX) Coupe- 5 Speed Automatic, **Jackson Racing
Rotrex Supercharger Kit (10 psi) with 450 cc injectors and Flashpro (carb
legal) **Clean title,
fully paid off (MRSP: $20,965)
Reason why I am getting rid of the Civic is because I am getting a new car. I need something more practical and I just can’t see the Civic getting parted out. The Civic was an excellent starter vehicle for me, even with the Supercharger, it still gets around 22-24 miles per gallon with mostly city driving. I always took the best care of it, got the maintenance done that needed to be done, parts replaced that needed to be replaced. There was a lot of love and passion that went into this car, the aftermarket parts are high quality. This car is seriously a beast, has been taken on the curvy 89 route to Sedona/Flagsdaff, AZ a couple times and never had issues (even with being slammed on coils). I was easily able to AT LEAST keep up with a NA Si, no dyno has been done on it personally, but it’s getting at least 190 whp (horsepower at the wheels, not the crank). **Jackson Racing Rotrex Supercharger goes through 20,000 miles of beating through the elevation changes of Colorado to the brutal heat of Arizona to the stop and go traffic of California. -Oil is changed
every 3,000 miles or 3-4 months, whichever comes first. Mostly have been using
Eneos, fully synthetic 5w-20, with the S/C kit, I’ve been using 5w-30. (Will
come with an extra quart of Eneos) -Use octane 91
(premium) gas ever since March 2013 when I started tuning with VitViper on my
Skunk2 exhaust and former Fujita CAI. -Last oil change was on 1/6/2014 at about 55,700 miles on it, mileage will change a bit, it gets driven once or twice a week. **Mileage will increase a bit, does get driven once or twice a week. -Brake pads
replaced around 40-45,000 miles with OEM pads. -Tires just replaced
in mid-June of 2013, approximately 90% tread left. -2nd
battery replaced in late May of 2013. -S/C kit put on
mid-June 2013 with about 50,000 miles. Tranny has never had problems and is in
good condition. You can look up information or contact Jackson Racing on the
S/C kit about the automatic tranny and what to expect. The JR S/C kit for the
R18 is made to run on stock internals and not damage anything or need any
aftermarket parts. -Has NOT been in
any accidents. -Passenger side CV
joint has been replaced once. -Motor mount (in
engine bay by torque rod) has been replaced in February of 2013 (have email of
receipt) -Tensioner replaced January 2014 (have email of receipt) -Both rear wheels
have minor curb rashes, they are barely visible. -Front HFP lip has
battle-scars on passenger side. -Front bumper has
rock chips (keep in mind it was a full time DD) -Has the
occasional surface scratch in paint and some scuffing on the dash. -Passenger side
fog light got damaged from highway driving; it’s taped onto the connector with
electrical tape, stays in place just fine, just needs adjusting when taking out
the bulb and putting it back. -NO FENDER LINERS!! -**Front passenger wheel makes rattling noise at high speeds -Front tow hooks
are scraped up from driving, still functional. -Fenders have been
rolled in front and rear fenders have been shaved. -Rear tires have
some camber wear -**DO NOT have
receipts for any maintenance done to it, since either I or my buddies help me
fix the car.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing to switch to Honda engines starting in 2019
Tue, Jun 19 2018After a 12-season partnership with Renault, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team is switching engine suppliers. Starting next season, the team will use Honda powertrains, following the move this year of Red Bull's junior team, Toro Rosso. This effectively makes Red Bull Racing the Honda works team, something it's never truly benefited from since joining the sport in 2005 after purchasing the former Jaguar Racing team. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Honda has had a rough time since returning to F1 with McLaren back in 2015. Both sides hoped that the move would rekindle one of the most successful pairings in F1 history. Unfortunately, Honda powertrains were both underpowered and unreliable. The partnership proved to be so toxic that McLaren ended the deal early, moving to Renault power starting this season. On the other hand, Toro Rosso is off to a fine start this year with Honda, surely helping cement Red Bull's decision to drop Renault. Since moving to Renault power in 2007, Red Bull Racing has won 57 races, four drivers' championships and four constructors championships, making it one of the most successful teams in F1 history. The move should be a huge boon for Honda. Red Bull Racing is currently one of the top teams, fighting for both podiums and wins, so the move shows how much faith Red Bull has in the Japanese automaker. When McLaren picked up Honda power, it was a mid-pack team that had just two podiums in the previous two seasons. The Honda partnership is likely to play into Daniel Ricciardo's next move. His current contract with Red Bull racing ends at the end of 2018. He's one of the best and most talented drivers racing today and unlikely to stay with a team that might prevent him from winning races and fighting for championships. Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Honda Civic Type-R caught out in the cold
Thu, Jan 15 2015The Honda Civic Type R already has an award winning ad campaign, and the concept keeps showing up at auto shows around the world. What the model doesn't possess yet are firm production specs, and as these latest spy shots show, Honda is still doing cold weather testing in Sweden on its future hot hatch. The striking thing about this test car is just how similar it is to an earlier version wearing no camouflage at all. Both sport a toned down body kit compared to the concepts. The obfuscation makes the exact lines on this latest prototype hard to spot, but the two models appear practically identical. Although, at the rear, the taillights might now be slightly reshaped, compared to earlier. As of the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the Civic Type R was scheduled for a 2015 release in Europe. In concept form, it sported a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 276 horsepower and routed power to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. Adaptive dampers and a system called "steer axis" to reduce torque steer were promised to get the grunt to the ground effectively. The company even had a goal of making the new hatch the world's fastest front-wheel drive vehicle around the Nurburgring Nordschleife, too. Rumor has it, this potent mill might even cross the Atlantic for a Honda product in the US. Until then, check out the gallery to see the latest shots of what the Type R has in store for Europe at some point in 2015.
