2007 Honda Civic Si Ny Rebuilt Title on 2040-cars
Flushing, New York, United States
|
Hi,
I have a 2007 CIVIC SI for sale with roughly 99,000 slightly more or less. Trying to be as descriptive as possible with the car. The car is a rebuilt title, NY. It is currently registered and insured.
CONS -Needs some cosmetic attention ( I have put as much pictures as possible describing the flaws) Rear bumper will need attentions, some minor scratch on the mirrow, and bumper, and hood. -Air bag light is on. Why is it on? I brought it like this. Seller told me it came on one day, after he was fixing he seats. Wheather this is true or not I am not 100% sure. But it never bother me. -The switch on the passenger door window is odd. The window would move down on the passenger seat but not go up all the time. And for the driver side that controls the passenger window it USED to go up/down now it does not work. But the driver side windows work properly. Sunroof is good too. (THIS MAY BE REPAIR for the passenger window issue ) -Driver side mirror got hit a little from a car while I was parks so it pops out, I still use it, (THIS MAY BE REPAIR ) -It does have Navigation , but the CD is kind of broken does not always read, I downloaded the aftermarket CD, but have not yet burned it. (I do not need GPS) -Transmission is 6 speed, I never have trouble with any grinding when going smoothly and driving normally. However, when I go on higher RPM (roughly 3-4k) and shift faster, there is some grind on the 4th gear. -Sometimes a fuel cap light is on comes out, not sure why. And sometimes a CEL light comes on P0497, and then disappears. Spoke to a mechanicals and need a purge valve solenoid. (Could be something else, just never fixed it) REASON FOR SALE - I drove it to work from NYC to NJ for work so mostly highway since I had it. But the traffic for stick got annoying so I brought an auto. I still drive this car every weekend. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Lawsuit reveals gruesome details of Takata airbag victim's death
Sat, Mar 7 2015The accident was minor. The aftermath was horrific. Carlos Solis was waiting to turn left into a Houston-area apartment complex on January 28 when oncoming traffic struck the front-left corner of his 2002 Honda Accord, pictured above. He was stopped, according to a police report of the accident. The other car traveled at under 30 miles per hour. He should have walked away from the fender-bender. Instead, the 35-year-old married man was killed when a defective airbag exploded and sent a large piece of metal shrapnel into his neck, his estate's lawyers allege in a lawsuit filed Thursday in Harris County, Texas. He bled to death while his younger brother and an 11-year-old cousin tried to save him. Solis is one of at least six motorists killed by defective airbags made by Takata, a global automotive supplier. He may also be a posthumous poster child for federal legislation introduced earlier this week that would ensure car owners receive more timely information about safety recalls. Currently, federal law does not require car dealers to tell prospective buyers about open recalls on used cars or whether defects have been repaired. Legislation introduced by Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) wouldn't require that directly of dealerships, but it would mandate that car owners be notified of recalls when they apply for registration and at the time of registration renewal. "Important recall notices can get bogged down with legalese, and busy consumers can miss a life-saving update," Blumenthal said. "This legislation provides a common-sense avenue to ensure every driver is reminded and encouraged to make the necessary repairs." Such a law may have prevented Solis' death. Although his '02 Accord had been recalled in late 2011, his wife and lawyers say he had no knowledge of the recall when he bought the car used from All Star Auto Sales in 2014, nor did he know of the dangerous flaw when he set out to visit his parents on Jan. 18. Only one month earlier, Congress held hearings on Takata and Honda's long-standing inaction related to the defective airbags. Documents showed both companies were aware of problems with the airbags as early as 2004, and a report in The New York Times detailed secret airbag tests, the results of which alarmed Takata engineers. Yet the company withheld the information from federal safety administrators.
Honda: Somebody To Love (Ridgeline)
Mon, Feb 8 2016If you want to search for symbolism in this Honda Ridgeline ad that aired during Super Bowl 50, there's plenty to be had. It looks like a simple, funny demonstration of the compact truck's cargo bed audio system. Sheep, hearing the speakers from the back of bed, pick up the earworm of Queen's Somebody to Love and start singing on their own. But the sheep imagery could also be seen as an indictment of the me-too half-ton truck crowd. The Ridgeline, returning for the second generation after a brief hiatus, is sort of an anti-truck with unibody construction, a dual-hinged tailgate, and a trunk inside the bed. Normal pickup folk see the Ridgeline as not enough truck. Honda fans see those types as sheeple. Or maybe it's just a fun ad with a catchy song and some talking animals. Honda's I Like Sports ad will have you reaching for your pom-poms
Fri, May 1 2015Autoblog editor Greg Migliore recently wrote a great piece looking at the burgeoning re-emergence of Honda as the performance brand. Now, the company is showing some reasons why that really might be the case, with a short ad from Japan titled I Like Sports. The commercial acts as a showcase for Honda's performance prowess on the street and around the track from the recent past, present, and the near future. The spot gives the company's models a chance to show why they are worth getting excited about. There are glimpses of vehicles like the Japan-only S660, upcoming Civic Type R, S2000, the preceding and forthcoming NSX, the MotoGP bike, and Formula 1 car. Despite being just a minute long, the ad does a great job at hinting at a brand that can appeal to people who want a little excitement during a drive.
