Clean and Clear kansas title.i am not the origional owner of the vehicle, i purchased from another soldier at fr riley kansas after my deployment. i purchased it from him in may of 2011. this behicle is 11 years old and shows its age. I am selling my 2002 Honda civic Si which currently sits at 165,xxx miles.I recently purchased a Honda crv for my daily driver and I no longer need the civic. *** one big problem with the car is the 4th gear in the transmission has gone out, it will not go into 4th gear. All other gears work perfectly fine though***** I have driven This vehicle to salina kansas and back to Memphis Tennessee, a 650 mile trip twice this month with no issues at all. The car has some cosmetic damage, nothing too bad. It is an 11 year old car. The driver side fender is bowed out slightly and is not flush with the door because I used a jack to the lift the car in the wrong spot. There is a small dent in the driver side read quarter about the size of a fist. The windshield has a small rock chip that has been filled. The hood has a paint chip missing but has been painted in. Also the passenger window works but the window itself is stuck in the rubber trim. Like I said it is an 11 year old car and can use some tlc. All power works in the vehicle. Air conditioning works well as does the heat. I just did an oil change with full synthetic oil and kn oil filter. The transmission has been flushed and refilled with Honda genuine fluid. I recently replaced the primary O2 sensor with a factory Denso one. ball joints were replaced a few months ago with buddyclub extended ball joints since the vehicle is lowered.The passenger wheel bearing was replaced in February by Honda in salina, ks. the interior of the car is in good condition, the driver seat has wear and a small tear at the seam on the left side, if i had to rate the interior it would be at a 7.

Euro Honda Civic Type R engines are American-made
Thu, Jul 2 2015With 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, the latest Honda Civic Type R stands among the top of the current front-wheel drive, hot hatch heap. Sadly for the time being, it's exclusive to European buyers, and folks on this side of the pond might be waiting until 2017 to experience one. American Type R fans can be proud in the meantime, though. That's because the 2.0-liter turbocharged heart in each car doesn't come from Japan or Europe, but instead from Honda's Anna Engine Plant in Ohio. In a new video, the company is showing just a little of what goes into that production. Honda has been building engines at the Anna plant since 1985 and added the capability to produce the new, turbocharged units last year. The automaker currently employs 2,600 people there. In addition to the Type R mill, the factory makes the four- and six-cylinder powerplants for models like the Accord, Civic, CR-V, Acura ILX, TLX, and RDX. Honda intends to offer the next-gen Civic in coupe, sedan, and five-door hatch body styles in the US, and based on the company's concept, the Type R engine might come here in a two-door body. Regardless of the shape it's wrapped in, we look forward to experiencing the turbo 2.0-liter on America's roads.
Honda charged another $363 million over Takata airbags
Fri, Jun 12 2015The Takata airbag recall is growing increasingly expensive for Honda. In the latest hit to the automaker's bottom line, the company is revising the expected costs of its global safety campaigns by an additional 44.8 billion yen ($363 million) after the massive expansion in May. Months ago, Honda announced that it had set aside 50 billion yen ($425 million at the time) to meet the predicted expenses. According to Automotive News, due to the rather arcane laws of accounting, these new costs will actually be applied to the fiscal year that ended on March 31, rather than the current one. Honda's revised earnings will be announced in late June. The company previously reported an operating profit of 651.7 billion yen ($5.3 billion), which was down 13 percent from the previous year. There has been no change to planned dividends for investors. In the US, Honda and Acura have a total of about 6.28 million vehicles in need of a replacement airbag inflator, and the automaker says about two million of those are already repaired. In addition to the Takata campaign, the company has faced other financial setbacks during this calendar year. For example, in early January, it received a $70 million fine from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for failing to report 1,729 cases of injuries or deaths over 11 years. As part of a strategy to improve quality globally, Honda cut back its global sales forecasts for the coming year, and it also decided not to make any volume predictions through 2017. The Honda Ridgeline returns for 2017
Mon, Jan 11 2016The midsize truck segment is red hot right now, thanks to the new Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon twins, not to mention the redesigned Toyota Tacoma. So after killing the unibody Ridgeline truck a few years ago, Honda's back with another attempt. The 2017 Ridgeline keeps all of the old truck's rhythms intact, in a fresh, modern package. Slab-sided and with a tweaked version of the new Pilot's face, the Ridgeline is at the very least a brawny looking pickup. Honda says the truck's bed is five feet wide and five feet, four inches long, two figures that are larger than the first-gen Ridgeline, not to mention the four-door versions of the Chevrolet Colorado and Toyota Tacoma. But while those trucks offer different cab and bed configurations, the Ridgeline should be a one-size-fits-all affair. Keeping with that theme, the Ridgeline only offers V6 power, courtesy of Honda's excellent 3.5-liter VTEC six-pot. Honda doesn't give any power figures, but the Pilot does its job with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, so we expect similar numbers for the Ridgeline. But here, Honda will forgo the Pilot's nine-speed automatic in favor of a more traditional six-speed box. An optional torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system is available, but base Ridgelines will send power to the front axle only. Yes, a front-wheel-drive pickup truck. This one's definitely not for those who need true truck capability. Here's the best thing we can say about the new Ridgeline: it will continue to be a stellar tailgating partner. The first-gen truck was perfect for partying before a big game. There was room for four, and the ample bed had plenty of room for stuff and featured a unique dual-opening tailgate for easy unloading. The highlight, though, was a drainable, water-tight, 8.5-cubic-foot compartment built into the bed. A bed to sit in, and a place for the drinks. And a secure place to hold cargo the rest of the time. Those innovative features are joined by an industry first in-bed stereo system. In the cabin, that stereo system will be able to pump out the tunes from an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes complete with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
