1996 Honda Civic V6 Hatchback Race Car Or Fast Street Car on 2040-cars

You're bidding on a rare 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback with a full functioning 3.2 Liter V-6 from a 2003 Acura CL Type S. That engine is mostly stock with headers and 3 inch cat-less exhaust. The car has 260+ Horsepower and does have the rare limited slip diff. trans that was only available for one year in the Acura CL. The car has a custom wiring harness (everything works), hasport mounts, custom intake, custom Koyo radiator, K-Tuned traction bars for the front. The brakes are the real Civic Type R 5 Lug Swap for the front and rear and stainless brake lines. I am running custom K-Sport RR Coilovers with a upgraded sway bars and 2006 RSX Type S wheels. I had the coilovers made based on the specs of the car, weight , spring rates ext. See website for more details. For the interior I have 2 Corbeau racing seats with a 5 point harness. The roll cage is custom not a pieced together bunch of metal (Very Detailed) The hood is custom to fit the big engine. if you don't like the hood you can run hoodless or cut a oem hood. I have also heard hasport makes mounts now that will lower the engine enough to fit without the engine sticking out... I built the car for track days and have only had it to the track once. The car is a blast to drive! Its nice to have a Honda with torque. The car is street legal in PA, not sure about other states. I currently drive the car under 5000 miles so its emissions exempt. The car doesn't have a catalytic converter currently. To pass emissions it would need a o2 bung welded with a spacer and rear o2 sensor or a catalytic converter installed. I haven't had any issues with the car and consider it the most reliable car in my fleet since everything is new and the motor isn't modified. When I put the motor in I had a Acura Tech put a new timing belt/water pump and plugs just in case. You won't need to do anything to this car, you can truly buy it to drive or race. The shell had 200k on the car and the motor only had 60-70K when installed. The body is nice with no Honda rust! There are a few very minor dents on the doors and the front bumper could be painted. (Looks Pink) I may have put 2000 miles over the last few years. Feel free to ask any questions. I am sure I am missing something.

Honda Accord barely edges Toyota Prius as California's best-selling car
Wed, Feb 18 2015The Toyota Prius definitely still matters, at least to car buyers in California. The long-lived hybrid was the state's second-bestselling vehicle in 2014 by moving 71,210 units across all of its variants, including the Prius C. The Toyota was the leader there in 2012 and 2013 but lost the sales crown this time – just barely – to the Honda Accord, which sold 71,578 examples. The results in the Golden State illustrate just how different the auto market there is compared to the rest of the country. Prius sales slumped last year nationwide with a drop of 11.5 percent to 207,372 examples sold. However, according to the LA Times, the model's numbers ticked up two percent in California in 2014. Taken by itself, the standard hatchback model would have been the sixth-bestseller there, with 39,036 units purchased. While the Toyota showed modest growth, it wasn't enough to fend off the Accord's 17 percent year-over-year jump in the state, though. According to the Los Angeles Times, the rest of the California top ten included the Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Corolla, Ford F-Series, CR-V, Nissan Altima, Sentra and Chevrolet Silverado, respectively. That list was quite a departure from the nationwide bestsellers in 2014, which was led by the F-Series, Silverado and Ram pickups. The Camry was the country's foremost car on the list in fourth place overall to beat the Accord in fifth. The Prius didn't break into the ten biggest sellers in the US last year. 2024 Honda Prologue name announced, and an Acura EV follows
Mon, Jun 28 2021Honda is revealing a couple of little nuggets of information about its future EVs today, shedding more light on the partnership between it and GM on electric vehicle technology. The big news is that Honda’s first new EV made in this partnership will be called Prologue, and it will be an SUV produced for the 2024 model year. HondaÂ’s “Prologue” logo is revealed with this news, and a few additional details about the car itself are, too. On the obvious front, Honda says the Prologue will ride on GMÂ’s global EV platform and use GMÂ’s Ultium battery technology. The company is also promising “versatility and driving range on par with our current lineup of rugged SUVs.” “Our first volume Honda BEV will begin our transition to electrification, and the name Honda Prologue signals the role it will play in leading to our zero-emission future,” says Dave Gardner, executive VP of American Honda. “The Prologue will provide our customers with a battery-electric SUV with the excellent functionality and packaging theyÂ’ve come to expect from Honda.” ItÂ’s not just Honda that will join in on the fun, though. An electric Acura SUV was also announced today. Just like the Honda, it will use GMÂ’s electric vehicle platform. A model year for the Acura wasn't promised, but Honda claimed it would be revealed “in the 2024 calendar year.” Any details beyond what you see here are being kept under wraps by Honda. WeÂ’re told to expect more “specific details” to be released over the coming months. Basically, expect a slow drip of information about the Prologue leading up to a full reveal where Honda finally shares all there is to know about the SUV. Looking even further into the future, Honda promises EVs based on an in-house-developed EV platform sometime in the second half of this decade. For now, itÂ’s calling this future platform “e:Architecture.” Ultimately, Honda promises that 100% of its auto sales in North America will be fully electric by 2040. The 2024 Prologue is the brandÂ’s first step toward this ambitious goal. Related video:
Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag? Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be. Honda has a knack for surprising us with nearly unbelievable inventions designed to improve mankind's quality of life, contraptions like the Walking Assist Device and the UNI-CUB personal mobility devices, so the Case N isn't as far-fetched an idea for the company as you might think.
Head below to watch the video, where you can see the Case N concept in action. You'll also see its generous proportions, which is one reason why it's just a case of Honda humor - not (yet) a market reality.
