1990 Honda Civic Si (41k Original Miles Near All Oem) on 2040-cars
Santee, California, United States
|
I am looking to sell my 1990 Honda Civic Si. The car is 98%
OEM and only has 41K original miles from new. That’s right, 41K original miles
on the original engine, transmission and body. It is NOT a swap or rebuild, the
miles are original from new. This car in
in phenomenal shape. Everything works perfectly as it did when it was factory
new aside from the A/C. It blows cool and not cold. It could use an R12
recharge or better yet a R134 conversion. I was quoted $185.00 for that
conversion. This car does have a sunroof and it works perfectly. OEM Civic floor mats in great condition included. The car is
nearly all OEM. The only non OEM items are as follows: Koni yellow sport
shocks/struts, Eibach Pro Kit springs, HKS cat-back (sounds incredible),
B&M double bend short shifter and Kenwood CD player and speakers. I did
keep all of the OEM items and they are included in the sale. I also tracked
down a set of brand new OEM 2000 Civic Si wheels and OEM Si center caps that I put on the car. The
OEM steel wheels and Si hubcaps are also included in the sale as well. All
service is up to date (all done in the last 1k miles with receipts to prove all
work performed) which includes: new oil/oil filter, new fuel filter, new air
filter, new tranny fluid, new water pump, valves adjusted to factory specs, new
timing belt with cam/crank seal, new coolant, new front brakes and brake fluid,
new belts and tires. All service items used were OEM Honda. All worked
performed by the Honda gurus at JDM Concepts or Premier Auto Service in an Diego. This car
needs nothing just a new owner. It starts up first try every time. I have
gotten over 40MPG on the highway and mid to high 30’s for mixed driving. There
are no leaks or funny smells. The interior is perfect with no tears, wear
marks, spills or sagging headliner. The paint is in great shape and feels like
glass. There are a few nicks and dings from use over the years. Nothing that
can be seen 3 or 4 feet away. The
windows and window rubber are all great. No cracking or chips anywhere. Zero cracks in the dash. The car
looks to have been garaged since day one. No rust now or ever. I encourage any
perspective buyer to come by to see her in person and go for a spin. You will
not be disappointed. This is a once in a lifetime deal. There are so few of
these cars around anymore let alone in this condition with these LOW miles. Good luck trying to find another OEM EF bodied Si
in this clean condition with this low mileage. The only reason I am selling is
because I need the $$ for a down payment on bigger house. Any questions please
feel free to eMail me or give me a buzz at (six one nine) 93 eight – 45 six six
and ask for Kevin. Please, no texts. |

Honda reveals scrambler-style CBSix50 concept at EICMA
Sat, Nov 28 2015Honda brought some seriously cool concept motorcycles to this year's EICMA show in Milan, Italy, and two of the wildest were a pair called the CBSix50 and CB4. The company based both of them on the CB650F and its four-cylinder engine, according to Lanesplitter. However, the designers overhauled the styling to imagine one of them as a scrambler that could play a little in the dirt and the other as an urban-focused naked bike. The CBSix50 (pictured above) looks ready for any environment thanks to the chunky treads on the tires, guards on the handlebars, and a skid plate to keep the vital mechanical parts safe. The camouflaged body might blend into the city a little, but the bright red accents don't allow the rider to hide completely. Honda's designers craft the CB4 concept (pictured right) to be ready for the street. The bike's body wears a modern mix of white and black, but red accents on the calipers and suspension provide a pop of color. The front features a round headlight for a more classic style than the rectangular unit on the CBSix50. The cycle also gets more traditional road tires than its sibling, and the stubby exhaust provides an aggressive look. You can easily imagine this machine slicing through crowded traffic in cities all over the world. Check them both out in the gallery above. Related Video:
Fred Savage wants to narrate your home videos to practice for Honda gig
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Honda is getting ready to launch a new advertising campaign with Fred Savage of The Wonder Years (and The Princess Bride) fame, and in order to get his voice in game shape, Savage is taking to social media to get prepared. More specifically, he's apparently interested in adding some voiceover to fun videos provided by fans of the Honda brand, and all you have to do to be considered is to get his attention on Twitter using the hashtag #HondaPromo.
We have no idea how Savage or the Honda PR team plans to choose which videos will be turned into narrated works of art, but we do think it's a pretty fun idea. So, if you happen to have a video that could use some narration, and you think Savage would provide the perfect pitch, hit him up. Oh, be sure to read the terms and conditions first.
Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
