2004 Honda Accord Ex Coupe 3.0 V6 6-speed Rare Find!!! on 2040-cars
Rochester, New York, United States
You are looking at my 2004 Accord Coupe with the rare V6 6spd combinaton in San Marino Red. This car as you can see is in amazing shape. I take care of my vehicles like no other and take pride in making them look good and perform better than OEM. The car is lightly modofied as you can see from the pictures. The engine is all stock except for a K&N Typhoon cold air intake and color matched engine covers. I wanted to keep the reliability of the engine untouched. SERVICE:

There may be few things im forgetting but this is mostly everything. I got this car from an older guy who took real good care of it and always got it serviced. I have most of the receipts from him and from things i did to it. The clutch is great and grabs right away. I have never done a "burnout" with this car ever since i got it and im pretty sure the old guy before me hasnt either. Im very mechanically inclined so i do almost all the work myself and pay extra attention to detail. I dont cut corners on anything. Only reason im looking to sell my car is to get into a 4dr Acura TL or something similar thats little larger and has 4 doors. Im not looking for trades so please dont offer anything unless its a 09+ Acura TL SH :) AutoCheck shows 2 accidents - these were minor fender benders. Someone hit the side in a parking lot so i had to make a claim. Total was $1200 to pull the dent out and paint the quarterpanel. All done by a reputable shop. You can message me with any questions you may have and dont hesitate to send reasonable offers. Keep in mind this isnt just another Accord. This combination and color is pretty rare to begin with and with these modifications on it, the price im asking is pretty fair. This car will go past 250k miles no problem if maintained right and in a timely manner. |

105-year-old Facebook user gifted new car anonymously
Mon, 26 Aug 2013105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier is quite a woman. Not only is she California's oldest driver - she just renewed her license this January after passing the test without incident - she has a perfect 86-year driving record without so much as a parking violation. In fact, she's been driving for so long that she learned how on a Ford Model T (how many people alive today have even driven one of those, much less learned on one?). On top of all that, Edythe is a philanthropist; she's been volunteering at Direct Relief, which provides free medications for people in need, for 40 years. You may have even seen her on TV earlier this year spreading the word.
So when Edythe's 1997 minivan began breaking down, an anonymous fan did what any completely selfless person of means would: they gifted her a brand-new 2013 Honda Civic, ensuring that Edythe can continue working for the cause she loves. Check her out on Facebook - she's the social media site's oldest registered user - and scroll down to the press release for more on this heartwarming story.
Race recap: 2015 British Grand Prix is a testament to timing
Mon, Jul 6 2015In front of his home crowd, Lewis Hamilton actually had to work for pole position at the British Formula One Grand Prix. The World Champion couldn't get on top of the setup for his Mercedes-AMG Petronas on Friday, lapping behind teammate Nico Rosberg and the two Ferraris. Come Saturday, after a few alterations and a whole lot of wing to clamp down on understeer, Hamilton returned to his regular program at the front, taking pole position by just over a tenth of a second from his teammate. Williams, thought to be headed for another stretch in the weeds a few races ago, showed its best strength all year. The Grove team got both cars on the second row and in front of the Ferraris, Felipe Massa qualifying ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas, but they were eight and nine tenths behind the Mercedes'. Kimi Raikkonen out-qualified Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel for the second time this year, and only the first time in a straight-up battle with two healthy cars. But more than a second behind the two cars at the front, and with two nearly-impossible-to-pass Williams' in front, neither the Finn nor the German is happy with where they are. Daniil Kvyat claimed seventh, his side of the garage at Infiniti Red Bull Racing having got through the weekend to that point without a single complaint about their Renault power unit. Carlos Sainz, Jr. put a single Toro Rosso inside the top ten in eighth position, ahead of Nico Hulkenberg who did the same for Sahara Force India by slotting in ninth. The second Infiniti Red Bull driven by Daniel Ricciardo did have an unspecified engine complaint – his car kept "bleeding power" on the straights – but even so he managed to qualify tenth with his second-fastest lap. The stewards deleted his best lap because he ran three centimeters outside the track limits at Copse, an infraction that stung a few other drivers as well. Up in front, what would sting the Mercedes-AMG Petronas drivers the most was the start. That's when a dearth of grip struck both Hamilton and Rosberg, allowing Massa and Bottas to slide right up the middle between them and take the first two places. The leapfrogging was so surprising that it looked like the Mercedes drivers were giving the Williams drivers a head start. They diced through the first corners, Hamilton sliding past Bottas into second place halfway through the lap. And then the safety car reported for duty.
Honda Walking Assist Device begins US testing at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago
Sun, 17 Nov 2013For years, we've been wondering what implications Honda's Asimo robot could have in the real world, and now we're starting to get a sense of that. Honda announced that it will begin its first US clinical studies of the Walking Assist Device at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in an effort to provided improved mobility for people who have suffered a stroke. While the automotive tie-in here is pretty weak, this is the first time we've heard about this device since it was unveiled back in 2008.
Weighing in at six pounds, Honda's device is fitted to the waist and legs of patients to make it easier to walk, and the 22.2-volt lithium-ion battery provides enough electricity for more than an hour of operation. According to Honda's press release, which is posted below, up to 80 percent of the almost 800,000 stroke victims each year (in the US alone) are afflicted with limited mobility, so a medical aid like this could have a big impact in the real world.
