For your consideration...2003 Honda Accord LX; one-owner, low mileage (66K+), well-maintained with service records included from the original purchase dealership (Lundgren Honda of Auburn, MA). The vehicle has been driven by my 75-year old mother. Unfortunately, due to health issues, she is now unable to drive the vehicle. The interior is in excellent condition with minimal wear to the driver's side and it's in pristine condition on the passenger side and rear seats. The vehicle has the original owners manual, warranty and all service records. The vehicle was purchased new at Lundgren Honda of Auburn, MA and has been serviced there over the past 10 years as well; all factory maintenance has been performed as well as new tires, brakes, etc...over the past few years. The vehicle comes from a smoke-free household and has no interior odors. The exterior does show some minor wear given its' age of 10 years. The vehicle has never been in an accident and shows only minimal surface scratches which may compound/buff out but I'll leave that to the new owner. If you have any questions, please ask prior to bidding on the vehicle. Payment in full is required prior to signing the title transfer. Payment may be in the form of cash, cashiers check or wire transfer. Local purchasers may arrange for local pick-up, if the car is being shipped out-of-state, the buyer must make/pay for all shipping charges/arrangements prior to vehicle pick-up and shipping. All sales are final. Thank you for viewing.

The Tartan Prancer is a 21st Century Wagon Queen Family Truckster
Sun, Jul 26 2015Have you heard of the Tartan Prancer? If you've been keeping up with the Vacation movie reboot, you have. The original flick from 1983 introduced us to the Wagon Queen Family Truckster, a George Barris-designed send-up of American motoring that almost immediately became a legend. For the Vacation reboot, the Prancer is the new Truckster, and it looks like underneath all that awfully wavy bodywork there was once a Toyota Previa minivan. Whereas the Truckster's unique feature set was mainly wood paneling and way too many headlights, the Prancer loads up on the kinds of features the 21st century buyer has to have, like a martini glass holder outside the vehicle, a gas tank, a diesel tank, and a plug to charge something, and four side mirrors. Inside, there's a drinking fountain. The video above is the Albanian spoof ad for the Prancer. It's in Albanian, but you don't need to speak that glorious language to understand the ad. It's a lot funnier than the actual movie clip showcasing the Prancer, which you'll find in the video directly below. The second video below is Edmunds' Carlos Lago doing a thorough comparo with the Tartan, the so-called "Honda of Albania," on one side and a real Honda Odyssey on the other. The movie comes out July 29 in the US. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This content is hosted by a third party. Will states start to prevent you from registering cars that have pending recalls?
Sat, Nov 22 2014The impact of 2014 – henceforth known as Year of the Recalls – will have long-ranging consequences on the auto industry. One of the biggest changes, though, might not be in the way manufacturers inform the government of pending recalls or in the way Uncle Sam punishes automakers that violate its rules, but in the ability to sell cars with pending recalls. And strangely enough, the charge is being led by an automaker. Honda Executive Vice President Rick Schostek, pictured above, argued during a meeting of the Senate Transportation Committee that the government needs to take a role in mandating that consumers have recall services performed. That could include withholding registration for vehicles with pending recalls, Bloomberg reports. Honda is just one of the automakers currently embroiled in the massive Takata airbag recall. "It's a good idea," safety advocate Clarence Ditlow said, according to Bloomberg. "California won't give you a registration if you have an emissions recall. Why not a safety recall?" "Honda is going to use any innovative tools to find customers and get these recalls done," Schostek told the Transportation Committee. The exec, aside from echoing Ditlow's viewpoint, also argued for requiring dealerships and garages to inform vehicle owners of incomplete recalls, regardless of the service provided. Schostek also made an argument that state governments could step in, as well. Whatever ends up happening, it's fair to say that between Takata and General Motors, the future of recalls for American consumers are set for significant changes.
