Thanks for looking!

Up for sale is my 3rd s2000 (these cars are great)!  Having two cars in Manhattan is not fun or smart so I want her to go to a better home.

I bought it from the original owner -- he was very meticulous about this car for many years. I have a very thick folder with maintenance and parts records. I've put only about 1500 miles on the car since I bought it.  Clear NY title. Has 122k miles on it now and is located in Westchester NY / Manhattan NY.

In the last 2 months, it has received some love and care from the s2000 communities best mechanic, Billman250 (Google him if you don't know him).

Valve Adjustment
Oil change (Mobil 1, and has been every 3,750 miles)
Differential Fluid
Transmission Fluid
Super Blue Race Brake fluid with brake flush
New Spark Plugs
New belt and pulleys
Clutch pedal adjustment
General once over

Condition:

Exterior: Car has been professionally repainted and overall the paint is very good - thorough job and all jams, trunk, engine bay (although some is flaking there). The car has a genuine Veilside body kit - front bumper, side skirts (molded), rear fender flares (molded), and rear bumper. The fit and molding are very good. There are chips on the front bumper and hood as you can see in the pictures. Front bumper also has some spider web cracking near headlights. I backed into a rock and there is a quarter sized section of paint missing on the side of the rear bumper.  I don't think there are any dents or dings. The car doesn't have rust on the panels, although it does have some surface rust on the underside (some bolts/brackets/springs, merely cosmetic). When I bought the car the driver's side mirror was damaged so I bought another mirror (Red). Both mirrors were then plasti-dipped black, as well as area above the windshield. I just noticed a crack (few inches long) in the windshield in the corner - the bottom driver's side corner. Not sure what this is from, either something fell on it while it was in my driveway or possibly the cold weather change but it wasn't there during my last drive. When I run my nail along it I can't feel the crack either on the inside or outside. I will try to get this replaced before the sale anyhow but either way it should be stable and safe to drive. Forbidden Mugen Vacuum Infused FRP Hardtop - fits great but the trim wasn't installed perfectly - I am including a full new set of trim with the sale of the car.  It has a new glass window soft top, no tears.

Interior: The interior is in excellent condition. The seats are in great condition for their age with no rips, tears, or discoloration. There are the usual leather stress cracks but you probably won't ever see seats with 120k miles that look this good. The rest of the interior is clear with no holes or damage. Trim pieces were painted the same color as exterior and were done very well. See interior/stereo mods below.  Electronics all work.

Engine/General Mechanical: Very strong - I've had 3 s2000s and test drove a lot of them before I picked up this last one - it has been the strongest of the bunch. Very mechanically sound and has great acceleration. It has been maintained very well. Acceleration is smooth, No CELs, hesitation, or weird engine noises. No visible leaks. Throttle body was replaced at about 60k miles.

Transmission: Smooth as butter. Better than my 2002 that had 30k miles. No grinds or issues. Clutch is very strong, no signs of slippage. The clutch plate was replaced (per buzzing/ringing TSB, not due to abuse) right at 36k miles, so it has <100k miles.

Suspension/Wheels: Great handling with the buddy club coil-overs. The Buddy Clubs were rebuilt at around the 100k mark, though they were only on the car starting around the 50k mark). Preventative maintenance was done over the years, such as swapping the CV cups on the rear end around 100k miles... no significant wear was noticed, but they were swapped anyway. Alignment is great (UK Alignment), no shaking - very stable. Traklite wheels are light and great for the track. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza's with some life left in them.

Brakes: Drilled/Slotted rotors with pads 80-90% life. Calipers were rebuilt by previous owner. After going to the track (first track day the car has ever seen) there is some noise from the pads, even though they're 80% I believe the pads probably got pretty hot and caused this (common occurrence after track and should go away after some normal driving). I also have a full set extra set of rotors and pads to include with the car. Brakes are very strong with Super Blue race fluid - just flushed/bled. Stainless steel brake lines. Honda integrating Siri into select models

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Honda has partnered up with Apple to bring Siri to the Accord, Acura RDX and ILX. Owners who have an iPhone running iOS 6 will be able to ask the software to perform a number of tasks via voice command using the vehicle's on board microphone and speaker systems. What's more, the tech will put the iPhone into an "eyes free" mode, which turns the screen off to help reduce distraction while driving. Honda says it has reworked its Bluetooth and HandsFreeLink systems to accommodate the Siri functionality. While the tech will only be available on three of the company's models right now, we imagine it won't be long before it shows up elsewhere.
As you may recall, Chevrolet integrated Siri into its products with vehicles like the Spark and Sonic, but Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler have also toyed with the tech to varying degrees. The seamless voice command seems to be light years ahead of the tech manufacturers are currently playing with. Check out the full press release from Honda below for more information.

Mom Accidentally Steals Honda In Brooklyn

Thu, Apr 17 2014

The owner of a 1993 Honda Accord that was accidentally stolen by a young Brooklyn woman's mother has the car back in her possession, after amusing posters popped up all over town. Cheryl Thorpe traveled to New York from her home in Houston to watch her daughter's dog while she and her roommates went on vacation, according to New York Magazine. Thorpe was also left the task of moving the three girls' cars to legal parking spots on a street-cleaning day. She dutifully moved the Fiat, Honda CR-V and Accord, but when the trio returned from their vacation something was wrong. The owner of the Accord found her car right where she left it, thankfully free of parking tickets. The Accord Thorpe had moved belonged to someone else. As it turns out, some older Hondas have interchangeable keys. Thorpe was able to use the girl's keys to move Emily Hickert's car while she ate brunch. Hickert spent an entire week thinking a professional car thief had made off with her 21-year-old ride. "In less than 40 seconds she gets in the car and goes," Hickert told The New York Post, after reviewing security footage from a nearby business. "I thought she was a professional." Hickert filed a police report, while Thorpe's daughter posted fliers all over Brooklyn looking for the Accord's owner. Hickert was eventually reunited with her Honda, which had been towed after sitting parked on the street. She says she bears no ill will towards the women involved in the mix up. "I'm not upset with her," Hickert told The Post. "I'm glad it wasn't a thief. I just didn't know why anyone would steal a 1993 Honda." Chevy Bolt EV, Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Ridgeline take 2017 NACTOY prizes

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Every year the 2017 North American International Auto Show kicks off with the North American Car of the Year Awards. We say "awards" after all those mentions of our home continent because it's not just cars. This year, in fact, the awards spread out to three separate honors: Car, Truck, and Utility. And without further ado, here are the winners. The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV is the Car of the Year, the Honda Ridgeline is the Truck of the Year, and the Chrysler Pacifica is the Utility of the Year. Honda's win is perhaps the biggest surprise, upsetting favorite the Ford F Super Duty for the win. The second-generation Ridgeline rides on a unibody platform and is offered in front- or all-wheel-drive, which is unconventional for a pickup. But the layout also offers a cargo bed with an in-floor trunk and solid fuel economy figures of 19 city, 26 highway in its most-efficient form. The Chevy Bolt EV, however, was probably the easiest winner to predict. Its 238-mile range and sub-$30,000 starting price after tax credits make it a breakthrough in the landscape of electric vehicles. With the Chrysler Pacifica available in a plug-in hybrid form, this year's award illustrates the industry's shift towards efficiency and electrification. And with Ford's recent announcement on future EVs, it might not be long will it be until we see a hybrid truck on the award stage as well.Related Video:
