2001 Honda Prelude, last year model made, non-SH version (all wheel steering), 5 speed manual transmission, sunroof, rear spoiler, recently replaced and upgraded H23A "blue top" VTEC engine.  Original black interior in fantastic shape for its age, minimal signs of wear and absolutely no abuse (tears, rips, stains, etc.) and the exterior is the super-rare and desirable "pearl white" color.

Here is the background and current status of the car:
Bought for my teenage son approximately 2 years ago.  He drove it until approximately 8 months ago when the original H22A4 VTEC motor let go.  We decided to install a H23A "blue top" VTEC engine.  Ran great, but threw a rod well after the 90 day warranty had already expired.  Wife and I decided to "upgrade" and put him into something newer to head off to college.  Therefore, we are now selling the car as it sits...with the blown motor.

AC blows ice cold and everything on the car works (minus the engine, as described above).  New clutch, brake pads and rotors (all 4 corners), and tires (again, all 4) were replaced within the last 5-7k miles.  Aftermarket CD radio with AUX input installed, original OEM CD player is also included.  Literally, upon the installation of a new motor, Buyer should have a fully functioning, last-year made, well taken care of Prelude for a fraction of the price.

Please see the provided pictures as to the general condition of the car.  If additional information or pictures are requested, please contact me as I will be glad to provide same via email.

Terms:
$500 deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of winning bid/offer.  Balance is due within 5 days from end of auction.  Car is sold "as is, where is" with no warranty, either express or implied.  No returns as all bids and final sale are legally binding.  By placing a bid, Buyer acknowledges car is currently in non-running condition and accepts sole responsibility for any/all transportation, towing, and like expenses.  Seller will gladly assist in that regard however possible.

Good luck and thanks for looking.  Cheers.

A pair of different but awesome Hondas star in the latest Forza Horizon 3 car pack

Mon, Feb 6 2017

Forza Horizon 3's ever-expanding car list grows again with its latest downloadable car pack. This time it packs a pair of Hondas from opposite ends of history. In fact they use opposite drive wheels, too. The first, representing the modern day and front-wheel drive, is the previous generation, 300-horsepower, 2016 Honda Civic Type R. From the early days of Honda automobiles, and with rear-wheel-drive, is the 1970 Honda S800. It has substantially less than 300 horsepower. The Civic Type R isn't the only hot hatch in the pack either. The Vauxhall Corsa VXR provides a European counterpoint to the Honda, albeit a bit smaller. It features less power – about 200 hp in all – but should be an excellent match to the Fiesta ST. The pack also features a couple of high-dollar, high-horsepower machines in the form of the 2017 Aston Marin DB11 and the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. Plus, for fans of older cars, there's the rear-engined Renault Alpine GTA Le Mans, and a Holden with a really long name: the 1985 HDT VK Commodore Group A. View 7 Photos As usual, the pack is included with the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass. Or, if you don't have the pass, the pack can be purchased on its own. eBay Find of the Day: Why this motorcycle's a deal at $135k

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

There can be no doubt that Soichiro Honda left a lasting legacy by lending his engineering talents to the company that bears his name. This can be said particularly of motorcycles, and the company outdid itself when it introduced the 1969 CB750. Widely considered the world's first superbike, it combined a then-powerful 67-horsepower, 736cc, inline four-cylinder engine and cutting edge tech for motorcycles at the time like an electric start and front disc brake. It is simply one of the most important motorcycles ever made, and now one of four handmade prototypes is up for auction on eBay Motors.
According to the seller, Honda had an idea that it had something special with the CB750 and built four preproduction models to be shown off to American media in 1968. Each one was hand-built by Honda technicians from bespoke components, and this blue/green model was photographed by magazines and for promotional material at the time. The seller believes that one of the four prototypes was destroyed, one is in Europe and one is unknown, which means this may be the only chance for collectors to get their hands on one.
The bike has prompted quite a bidding war with 97 bids registered as of this writing. With about seven hours left to go in the auction, the top big currently sits at $135,300. At this rate, things could get very exciting at the end. Although to own a prototype for the first super bike, it might be worth it.

Honda fielding 11 entrants at Pikes Peak, including 532-hp Odyssey

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

Is it possible for a minivan to be more exciting than an Acura NSX? Well, Honda is trying to find out by entering a 532-horsepower Odyssey into the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with IndyCar racer Simon Pagenaud behind the wheel.
Starting with a stock Odyssey, Honda dropped in a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 producing an estimated 532 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque as well as racing suspension, tires and brakes and one of the biggest roll cages you're likely to ever see. If this van looks familiar to you, you aren't alone - it's a veteran of the Tire Rack One Lap of America.
In addition to this super minivan, Honda will also be entering a first-gen NSX, CR-Z hybrid, Fit EV and Acura TL into the competition as well as five motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle. Scroll down for the full details on Honda's comprehensive assault on Pikes Peak.
