2006 Honda Odyssey Ex-l In Excellent Condition on 2040-cars
Mount Airy, Maryland, United States
We are selling our 2006 Honda Odyssey EX-L. This vehicle has a current Maryland State
Inspection. The outside is in very good condition and the interior is in excellent
condition. My wife is very particular
about the cleanliness of her vehicles.
We are non-smokers and this vehicle has never been smoked in by anyone
else either. The Odyssey is blue and has
the following features: V6 3.5Liter engine with eco drive (a feature that when
you are not in heavy acceleration uses only 3 cylinders which saves a lot of
fuel), Automatic Transmission, Front wheel drive (with traction control), 4
wheel ABS, Air conditioning (blows cold, front and rear), Power windows, Power
Locks, Power Sliding Doors, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Tilt wheel, Dual
Front and Side Air Bags, Power Drivers Seat, Quad Seating (4 Buckets seats, we
also have the middle seat to make the middle row of seats a bench seat for more
people to ride), Leather seats with front seats heated, Power Sun Roof, Privacy
Glass, Roof Rack, Alloy Wheels, Kenwood Stereo w/ IPOD/Aux jack, Satellite
Ready(with satellite unit installed you will have to activate as we will turn
that off) and steering wheel controls, all door speakers have been replaced,
and it is wired with a separate circuit breaker to run a large invertor. If you pay asking price, I will throw in the
power invertor that we used ($200 dollar add-on). We also have the cargo netting for the rear
area. The van has 185230 miles on
it. It runs great. We still drive it from time to time so the
mileage will be a little more, but we aren’t using it regularly. We have had this serviced regularly and can
provide the majority of the records if you wish to have them. It has a clean Car Fax report. We are the only owner of this vehicle. This is a great family vehicle and has
served us very well. Our family has
grown up, and we really don’t need this size vehicle any longer, and would like
another family to have the same enjoyment out of it as we have. I can provide a copy of the Car Fax report,
and also the Kelley Blue Book value report.
Car Fax says this vehicle is worth $810 over book value. Kelley Blue Book says this vehicle in Very
Good Condition is worth $8.765 and if you add the Car Fax report to that it is
worth $9,575. We are asking $8,300 or
best offer. We also have the original
radio system for the van that will come with the van if you wanted to go back
to the original for some reason. |

Honda reveals updated rest-of-world Civic hatchback
Thu, 14 Nov 2013The rest of the world's most recent Honda Civic was introduced for 2012, and it looks much the same as the 2014 model Honda will release in January to European and Asian markets. In fact, not much has changed, but a retuned power steering system, revised front and rear damping rates and rear wheel toe and camber adjustments are touted to make the hatchback drive better, World Car Fans reports.
There are some small visual changes, such as privacy glass for the lower rear window, a piano-black front bumper that previously was dark gray and piano-black trim replacing body-color pieces around the license plate area, tailgate and lower bumper. Inside, white stitching adorns the seats, steering wheel and knee pad along with aluminum and gloss-black accents placed around the center console area.
Of course, Honda won't be exporting this particular Civic to the US (or the recently unveiled Civic Tourer), so check out the photo gallery to see it in all its not-for-you glory.
Acura ILX headed for Civic-like early upgrades
Wed, 12 Dec 2012The not-yet-ready-for-primetime 2012 Honda Civic saw it quickly returned to sender for refurbishment, now the Acura ILX is headed in the same direction in its very first year. Automotive News reports that the small, Civic-based sedan from Honda's luxury brand isn't meeting sales expectations, with an annualized rate of 22,000 to 24,000 sales instead of the 30,000 the company is after. More telling is that the ILX "is being outsold by the Buick Verano, Volkswagen CC and Audi A4," and, except for two months since it launched, it has also been outdone by the Acura TSX it is meant to replace.
Part of the cause has been the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine: its 150 horsepower to motivate a sedan that can weigh up to 2,970 pounds doesn't offer the kind of performance or value experience that buyers in the segment respond to. Another big issue is that the top-level 2.4-liter engine is only offered with a six-speed manual even though most buyers of the highest trim don't really want to shift their own gears. Lastly, the ILX might not put enough space between it and its frugal underpinnings - our first drive review pegged it as "the world's nicest Honda Civic."
An automatic transmission is on the way for the 2.4-liter, but it isn't clear when. And while Honda admits that the 2.0-liter is underpowered and Automotive News says it's on the way out, the company hasn't yet said how that situation will be corrected.
Honda recalling nearly 900,000 Odyssey minivans over fire fear
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Honda is recalling nearly 900,000 2005 to 2010 model year Odyssey minivans due to a fault with the fuel pump that could cause them to catch fire.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration filling, if exposed to "acidic chemicals and a high temperature environment," the cover of the fuel pump strainer could crack and cause a gasoline smell in the minivan or possibly allow the fuel to leak out. Denso supplied the fuel pumps on the vehicles, and the report says that Honda first began studying the problem in October 2012 but didn't finally confirm the cause until March 6, 2014. The recall affects 886,815 Odysseys, and Honda has received 187 warranty claims related to the issue. However, there have been no fires or injures reported.
Unfortunately, Honda says that it currently doesn't have enough replacement fuel pumps to fix all of the vehicles and doesn't expect to have the parts ready until this summer. It's sending a letter to owners telling them about the recall and is sending a second notification when the pieces are at dealers. The entire notification including affected VINs can be viewed as a PDF here, and the shortened version from the NHTSA can be viewed below.
