Car is in running condition. I have used it for a commuter car to work. It averages between 48-50 MPG per tank. (That's ~480 miles per tank on a 10 gallon tank) The A/C compressor recently went out so I removed and bypassed it. Car does not have A/C right now. You can buy a used A/C compressor and it would work again. Power Doors/Locks/Mirrors all work. Heater works. Defroster for the rear window doesn't work. Car has the wet seat belt issue when it rains. It also has a slow oil leak.
This car shows the wear and tear of a car with 240,000 miles on it. However it has NEVER left me stranded anywhere and has been reliable. I wouldn't expect to get another 100,000 miles out of the car however since it has such high mileage.
The car DOES NOT have an IMA battery (I do not have the IMA battery). It has been bypassed properly and now uses the IMA motor as the alternator to charge the 12v battery. Unfortunately, if you live in a county that tests emissions, it will not pass a state inspection because of this. Understand the previous sentence before you bid on this car. If you have a spare IMA battery or plan to pick one up this will be a non issue.
Car starts up with no issues and runs. It bogs down a little bit and shakes from a stop but most of them do this once IMA is bypassed. You have to ease into the throttle or it can get worse. It also sometimes vibrates a little when giving it gas already at speed. It will still get between 44-50 MPG without the IMA battery depending on how you drive. I tried to get bad gas mileage in it one time on a round trip from Katy, TX to Columbus, TX and still got 38 MPG. This thing sips gas no matter how light/heavy of a foot you have!
The car's auto stop/start does not work, but did work before the IMA battery was removed.
Car needs an alignment and new breaks.
Paint is faded in some areas of the car and it has a few dents and scratches. Please look at all the photos.
Before the IMA battery made the check engine light stay on all the time, the check engine light had came on previously for a gas cap that didn't seal properly.
As you can see in the pictures it was recently in a fender bender (Front Passenger's Side). It was minor cosmetic damage and I never bothered fixing it as this was my daily driver car for work.
I am selling this car so I can get a new one.
Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping if it is needed. I will be available for anyone who would like to stop by and look over the vehicle after 5:30pm during the week.
All sales are final. I have stated everything I know to be wrong with the car. Any independent inspections must be performed before the auction closes.
Buyer will pay a non refundable $200 deposit within 24 hours of auction close with the remaining balance being paid within 7 days. I will take cash or a certified check. The title and car WILL NOT release from me until the check has been verified and it clears. I will not do any type of payment plans.
Car has a clear title and it is in hand.
If you have any other questions please ask!

How to charge up your BMW i3 with a Honda
Sat, Sep 13 2014Behold a cheaper version of BMW's range extender for its i3 plug-in. And it's brought to you by ... Honda? Sort of, if you take the approach that Gadget Review took when it looked for an alternative to ponying up the $4,000 or so for the gas-powered i3 range extender that comes from the factory. What was procured was a Honda portable generator for Home Depot for the experiment, which involved gassing the generator up in a parking lot, plugging in the i3 and going out for a cup of coffee. The result was that, after about a half-hour of charging, the i3 picked up about four miles of driving range. Not exactly revolutionary but it least a bit instructive. And given that Honda generators start at about $800, the idea, while clunky, is potentially cash-saving. Gadget Review briefly took the experiment one-step further by trying to run the generator inside the back of the car and plugging in, complete with a rigged-up ventilation system, but the host thought better of it once he realized that there'd be suffocation involved. Why this was never tried on the Nissan Leaf, we'll never know. Check out Gadget Review's five-minute video below.
