Dallastown, Pennsylvania, United States

I am selling my 2010 Honda Fit Sport.
Excellent condition. Clean CARFAX. Inspected through MARCH 2015!!!! 77000 miles, (almost all of them are highway miles - I commute from York to Baltimore) NO TRADES. Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 tires with 75% tread left. Top of the line low rolling resistance tires. Single Owner! Garage kept! Non-smoking! All maintenance kept up! Paint is in fantastic condition with only minor marks around the door handles. Runs like a champ. This car easily gets 40MPG, and I have managed 50MPG over a full tank of gas with a little bit of effort. Its not a hybrid, but gets excellent mileage. Automatic transmission with sport mode shifting using paddle shifters on the steering column. Excellent sound with the Factory system in excellent shape. You can control your iPod or iPhone directly from the console in the car, or run music through the AUX IN jack. MP3 CD Player. AC blows ice cold. This car can hold a TON of stuff. The rear seats fold completely flat for wide items, or fold up and down for tall objects. I'll be including a Thule roof rack with the car (no brackets, just the rack) to expand the car's usefulness. If you have babies or kind still in car seats, this car has the Latch system, and can support 2 car seats and still allow adults to fit comfortably. Car is in the Dallastown PA area, and can be viewed most evenings after I get home from work, by appointment. Payment by certified bank check or cash. NO PERSONAL CHECKS! No PAY PAL. No Credit Cards. Shipping, if needed, is the responsibility of the buyer. I'll help load the car, but you will need to arrange for shipping. But, seriously, just drive the car home. |

Honda exec says US market near capacity, could hurt subprime buyers
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Is there a point in the US auto industry where companies should start considering the welfare of their customers ahead of selling more cars? American Honda Executive Vice President of Sales John Mendel thinks that level exists, and we may be getting very close to it.
According to Automotive News, Mendel believes that finding more customers in the market could require pursuing subprime buyers and offering longer-term loans. However, he refuses to use those tactics. While selling models this way can improve things briefly, the strategies hurt resale prices and lower vehicle profits over time. The company won't do "stupid things in the short-term that damage the person who bought yesterday," he said to Automotive News. "It's a very, very short-term tactic especially in the subprime area."
American Honda, which combines the Acura and Honda brands, has seen market share decline from 9.7 percent to 9.1 percent through July 2014, according to Automotive News, and Autoblog's By the Numbers stats showed it posted falling sales in five of the seven months with data this year. Though, Mendel claims that was partially because the company focused on retail sales over fleets. The delays of the launches for the Honda Fit and Acura TLX likely didn't help either.

Honda recalls select 2013 Accords over fuel tank neck
Fri, 19 Jul 2013Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have announced a recall for 1,659 model-year 2013 Honda Accord vehicles. The affected Accords are Low-Emission Vehicle II rated cars manufactured between January 15 and April 5 of 2013.
The recall is pursuant to a fuel tank neck that might be out of specification, and the variance could result in the fuel pump not properly sealing with the fuel tank. As you might guess, a bad seal here could result in a gasoline leak, posing a fire risk. As of this writing, there have been no reports of fires because of this problem.
Honda will reach out to owners of affected 2013 Accords, directing dealers to replace the cars' fuel tank, nut and O-ring gasket. Expect the notifications when the recall begins in earnest on August 1. FInd the full NHTSA press release below.
