Up for sale is my PERSONAL Honda Fit which I bought brand new in on Jan 20th 2009 from Bay Ridge Honda in Brooklyn.
I am the original owner of the vehicle. Carfax and AutoCheck show two owners but that was me registering it in Florida after I
had it up in NY for a year or two.

I have used this car to commute between Florida and NYC and have used it to travel for work purposes in the NY Metro area.
Currently it just rolled over 175k miles. I have just put on new tires, new rear shocks, detailed it and it is ready to go to a new
owner. Reason for sale is I am tired of driving stick in NYC. I don't do as much traveling between Florida and NY as I used to
and have since purchased an automatic Volvo.

All options work 100% no hiccups or issues drives very well.
Pre-wired for Sirius.

I have never used any aftermarket parts in any of my personal cars. All replacement parts and maintenance items were purchased
at www.BernardiParts.com. All fluids always done at the Honda Dealer, either Bay Ridge Honda in Brooklyn or Paul Miller Honda
of West Caldwell NJ. Bulk of the wear item work was done at the Dealer save for brake changes, clutch job, tires, filters, AC
compressor those items I did myself. Just sprayed the front and rear bumpers to get rid of any minor parking imperfections that the
car has accumulated over the years so they are virtually flawless. Few scratches and dents are to be expected here and there.

Prior to 85k just fluids were changed and it is all documented in the OE Honda Maintenance Record book that is inside the vehicle.

85k new thermostat water pump serpentine belt ... preventive
95k Struts replaced under extended warranty
95k One caliper seized
105k spark plugs preventive
126k All fluids trans, brake, clutch line, coolant
127k Clutch
130k Battery replaced with OEM unit
150k All fluids trans, brake, clutch line, coolant
160k A/C compressor
172k New front bearing both sides
173k Axle shaft seal drivers side, Trans flush as well
175k New rear shocks
175k New tires all around

Keep in Mind I have done OLD SCHOOL MAINTENANCE
4000 mile oil and filter changes
Every 25k trans fluid, brake fluid, clutch line, coolant
Every 15k cabin and air filter

It never let me down always started hot cold ... trips to Florida etc.

85% highway miles obviously. Lots of time on I95.

Honda recalls 2.7 million vehicles for new air bag inflator defect

Wed, Jan 22 2020

WASHINGTON — Honda said on Tuesday it will recall 2.7 million older U.S. vehicles in North America for potentially defective air bag inflators. The defect involves a different type of Takata inflator than those that have prompted the largest-ever auto safety recalls worldwide covering more than 42 million U.S. vehicles by 19 automakers with Takata air bag inflators. The new recall covers Honda and Acura automobiles from the 1996 through 2003 model years. Honda said it is aware of one field rupture of an inflator in the new recall campaign — a 2012 crash in Texas that resulted in an injury — and two in junkyards in Japan. The campaign covers 2.4 million U.S. vehicles and 300,000 in Canada, Honda said, adding that it has not determined recall numbers for other countries. Takata issued a new defect notice in November for inflators from four automakers, including Honda. Honda said all three vehicles "potentially were exposed to unusually high amounts of moisture prior to the rupture events." Honda said the recalls cover driver front airbag inflators manufactured with non-azide propellant and said "all inspections and repairs will begin in approximately one year, as replacement parts from alternative suppliers are not yet available." Honda said it "regrets any inconvenience or distress that this situation may cause to our customers as we seek to resolve this situation. Honda believes that the risk of improper airbag deployment in its vehicles remains very low at this time, but we cannot absolutely guarantee the performance of any recalled part." Related Video:

Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha to make swappable motorcycle batteries

Fri, Mar 26 2021

Just as electric cars are becoming ever more common, the alternative propulsion system is starting to make headway in the motorcycle sphere. Companies such as Harley-Davidson and Zero already have electric models on sale, but other established brands are preparing for the electric future. Among them are the four big Japanese bike builders (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha) who have a plan to improve electric bike adoption, and make their bikes very appealing. The four companies created an organization back in April 2019 for this sort of purpose called the Swappable Battery Consortium for Electric Motorcycles. And the group has now announced that the manufacturers have agreed on the specifications for motorcycle batteries that can be interchanged among each company's motorcycles. So if you have a Suzuki, you can use a Honda battery, or vice versa. This idea presents quite a few interesting possibilities. The manufacturers could sell bikes with or without batteries, since you might already have a battery from your previous bike, or just another one you own, so you wouldn't have to shell out to buy an entirely new battery. If, for whatever reason, you needed a replacement battery, it should be easy to get one, since the same type would support bikes from a variety of manufacturers. The pipe dream of battery swapping stations might even be feasible because of the standardization and support. And having the batteries relatively easy to remove could be good for apartment dwellers, since they might be able to bring a battery inside to charge. The manufacturers haven't said exactly what the specifications are for these interchangeable batteries, nor when they'll be implemented. But we'll be eagerly awaiting more information in the future. HyFive hydrogen infrastructure gets $51M boost across Europe

Fri, Apr 4 2014

"High five!" was one of the catch-phrases of Sacha Baron Cohen's Kazakh comedic alter ego Borat. A real-world HyFive is being announced by a power broker named Boris. And this is serious business. London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced a program called HyFive, which will see automakers and other entities invest 31 million British pounds ($51 million US) in a demonstration project for hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. By next year, London will have three hydrogen refueling stations, while there will be one each in the Danish cities of Aarhus and Odense and one in Innsbruck, Austria. Leaders of the program are planning for other stations in Sweden, Germany and Italy. The five participating automakers are BMW, Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler, Honda, Hyundai and Toyota, while other companies involved include Copenhagen Hydrogen Network, ITM Power and Linde. Those OEMs will make 110 fuel-cell vehicles available for deployment in Bolzano, Copenhagen, Innsbruck, London, Munich and Stuttgart. The program represents an effort to address the "chicken or egg?" challenge inherent to establishing a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle market. While the powertrain technology provides benefits by combining fossil-fuel-like refueling times with long driving ranges and zero emissions, establishing a refueling network and building fuel-cell vehicles is prohibitively expensive, especially in low volumes. The London mayor is no stranger to green transportation technology. Late last year, Johnson made himself available for a photo opportunity with Ecotive and Frazer-Nash, which had developed a six-passenger extended-range plug-in taxicab. The mayor got a test drive in the cabs this week. You can check out the HyFive press release below. Global leaders sign up to GBP31m plan to demonstrate viability of hydrogen vehicles International project HyFive pioneers hydrogen fuel cell technology A pioneering GBP31 million deal will be struck today (3 April) to make hydrogen vehicles a viable and environmentally friendly choice for motorists across Europe. Leading motor manufacturers, hydrogen fuel suppliers, the Mayor of London's Office and energy consultancies from around the globe are signing up to the HyFive project, the largest of its kind in Europe, at City Hall in London today.
