Year:2005 Mileage:111530

This is the best car I have ever owned. I bought it used when it was 1 year old. I am selling it because I am moving out of the country.
Would make a great back-to-school car for a college student. Has lots of room for moving, the safety of an SUV, and great gas mileage for an SUV class vehicle.
Scroll down for a video.

Things to love about this car:
  • Rubber floor for easy cleaning.
  • All wheel drive: 4 wheel drive kicks in automatically when needed.  I've never gotten it stuck in the NE Ohio snow.  Powers through drifts.
  • 4 brand new tires
  • All interior seats fold down to make the inside into a bed. Great for road trips!
  • Rear seats fold up against the walls for quick cargo room.
  • Rear seats are completely removable for HUGE CARGO CAPACITY.
  • Rear side doors are rear hinged creating giant opening when open (see pictures). Great for loading and unloading.
  • Very good turning radius.
  • Great gas mileage for an SUV class vehicle.
  • Removable moonroof.
  • Decent factory stereo.
  • The classic Honda Element in its showroom color.

Here is a video of my car.

Honda asking used-car buyers to sign liability document [w/poll]

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

New cars under recall must be repaired before a dealer can sell them but used cars are under no such mandate.
When it comes to informing the car-buying public about potential safety hazards on used vehicles, there are two emerging schools of thought among used-car dealers.

First production HondaJet nearly completed

Tue, 20 May 2014

We may mention Honda around here mostly for its cars, but the Japanese industrial giant makes a whole lot more than that. The company builds motorcycles, ATVs, marine engines, power equipment and - soon enough - jet airplanes.
Honda has been working on its first private jet since before 2006, and after a good eight years or so of prototype testing, began building its first production version a bit over a year ago. And now it's almost ready for delivery.
The first production HondaJet is nearing completion and has had its GE Honda HF120 jet engines installed, after which it will conduct initial ground tests before taking its first flight this summer. The jet is painted in a new shade of pearl green with a gold stripe, added to the color catalog alongside the silver, red, yellow and blue options.

2013 Honda Civic

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Lather, Rinse, Repeat
On some level, it's hard to blame Honda for the strategy it took with its new-for-2012 Civic. Executives looked at the key players on the market as the model was being developed, soaked in the growing global economic malaise, and decided that if they wanted to make decent money on their small car, they'd have to find creative ways to take cost out of its build. In light of the financial crisis, consumers and critics would surely understand some belt-tightening in order to secure the company's legendary reliability, resale value and ease-of-use, right?
So Honda took a pass on expensive new technology - more complex transmissions, forced induction, active aero, and so on. And it also substituted in some cheaper interior materials, skimped on sound deadening, creature comforts and found lots of little ways to save money. Surely in a segment where the frankly ancient and moth-eaten Toyota Corolla has consistently ranked among the sales leaders, nobody would care, eh?
