Honda, Civic, Ek, Ls Engine, B Series, Extras, Like New on 2040-cars
|
Like the title says, I’m selling my 1997 Honda Civic H/B,
I was actually in the middle of a build (I’m ASE certified so you know it’s not
just thrown together); I bought and dropped in a 1999 Integra B18B1 (LS motor)
from Ace AA Used Auto Parts, but not before I took it apart and rebuilt the
whole engine, there isn’t even a mile on this engine. Here’s a list of
everything that I’ve done to the car since I started the build. And might I
add, since the rebuild I have not even drove it a full mile, also the Civic has
a new 6 puck stage 3 racing clutch from F1 Racing that still hasn’t been broken
in yet.
*UNDER THE HOOD AND CAR* · New (Rebuilt) Engine (B18B1) LS 1.8 L with 0 miles on it. · New F1 Racing stage 3 clutch and pressure plate · New T-Bracket and rear motor mount · New Driver’s side bracket and motor mount · New NGK spark plugs · New spark plug wires · New Alternator (w/ warranty from Advanced Auto Parts) · New Starter (w/ warranty from Advanced Auto Parts) · New Battery (w/ warranty from Advanced Auto Parts) · New Axles (w/ life time warranty from Advanced Auto Parts) · New gaskets (whole engine) · New oil plug · New 4-2-1 header · New 2 row aluminum radiator and racing fan · New Royal Purple oil · New brake fluid · New 50/50 coolant · New intake air filter · New paint under the hood, air intake and valve cover · New steering wheel w/ NOS buttons · New tires (less than 50 miles on them, bought them before I started the build) · New brake pads · New PCV valve · New gas filter · New K&N oil filter · New windshield wiper water pump · Skunk 2 lowering springs · Camber kit · ECU programmed by Neal Sutton
*INSIDE THE CIVIC* · Gauge cluster · Mugen racing seats (2) · Carbon fiber panel lining · Pioneer detachable face deck with iPod/iPhone connection and remote · Clifford car alarm with alarm pager and extra remote (installed by Buzz Off) · 2 alarm sirens · (2) 12” Kicker CVRs in a band pass box · (4) 6x9 3-way Kicker speakers in a box · 1,000w Lanzar amp · Diesel Audio crossover
*OUTSIDE THE CIVIC* · Fiberglass hood w/ scoop · Wing · Aftermarket headlights ·
Aftermarket taillights - Rims
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified so you know that nothing was just thrown together, I took my time. I didn’t get to the outside or the inside of the car, which was going to be next, I took off all the bumpers, the hood and fenders because I was going to get them new, but threw all the old ones back on, the passenger side fender I broke (since it’s fiberglass, while I was leaning under the hood working on the swap.) If you are looking for a perfect body you will be sorely disappointed when you see it, like the condition says, it can use a paint job bumpers and fenders, if you're going OEM a hood too. This Civic was meant for racing, so if you're looking for an everyday driver with a/c this isn't it, I took off the a/c compressor, it works perfectly fine and I will give it to you, but you will have to purchase a bracket. It’s $2,500 without the stereo system, $3,000 with the stereo system.
***UPDATE*** The engine now has 15 miles on it due to test drives. I work on who brings the money first gets the car, so don't come test drive and ask me if I can hold the car for you until you can get all of the money in a week. I'm not changing the price so don't purchase it here for one price, get here and try to haggle me down, it will not work; KBB has this engine in good condition at $4,900 so with that and all of the new parts on the car you're getting a great deal. |

Honda renews trademark for Acura CDX compact crossover
Wed, Jan 31 2018Honda recently renewed its U.S. trademark for the name "CDX," which the Japanese carmaker first applied for in 2015. Back then, observers expected the name to apply to an Acura version of the Honda HR-V, and they were right — but no one expected the CDX would go on sale only in China, in 2016. For the past two years, the U.S. auto media has speculated on whether the CDX will ever make it here. "(We) have our R&D guys looking into the possibility," group VP of Acura U.S. Jon Ikeda told Wards Auto last April about the CDX. However, he went on to note that it's not as simple as just shipping it over due to regulation differences between China and the United States. The trademark application doesn't mean a green light, but it shows Honda's at least leaving the door open to the prospect. The Chinese-market CDX is a Honda HR-V after a wardrobe change. The only engine option is the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the Civic, CR-V, and Accord, with 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet (our HR-V uses a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 141 hp and 127 lb-ft). The only transmission offered is an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Drivetrains can be had in front- or all-wheel drive. We wonder how much longer Honda can sit on the sidelines. The CDX doubled Acura's sales in China in one year. Acura sells more crossovers than sedans in the United States, and in the past two years that the CDX has been on sale in China, the compact crossover segment here has got more crowded and more popular. The Cadillac XT4 is imminent, and we could see the new Lexus UX compact crossover at the Geneva Motor Show. Really, an American-market Acura CDX can't come soon enough.
