Honda recalls 350,000 Civics for faulty parking brakes

The Basics: Honda is recalling about 350,000 2016 Civic coupes and sedans with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the turbocharged 1.5-liter four cylinder. The Problem: The car's stability control software currently prevents drivers from setting the electronic parking brake immediately after switching off the ignition. If the driver attempts to do this, the brake may not engage, and a brake light may flash on the instrument panel for 15 seconds. If the car's brake isn't properly set, and the car isn't in a parking gear, the car could roll away, potentially injuring someone or damaging the car. Injuries/Deaths: No injuries or deaths have been reported. The Fix: Owners can bring their affected Civics to a local Honda dealer where a software update will be installed free of charge to fix the issue. If you own one: Honda will notify owners of affected cars by mail starting in early November. Watch a motorcycle racer nearly rub the wall at Macau's track

Motorcycle racer John McGuinness is no stranger to dangerous racetracks, having scored multiple victories in the frequently deadly Isle of Man TT. In this video, he trades the Snaefell Mountain Course's winding roads for the incredibly tight confines of the Macau Grand Prix circuit. The track is like China's version of the Circuit de Monaco, and it looks barely wide enough for two bikes to fit at some points in this clip. The claustrophobic layout makes the street track famously difficult for racing and occasionally deadly. McGuinness gives viewers a great tour of the track on his Honda Fireblade, and he frequently has his shoulders nearly grazing against the wall. You really get a sense of just how narrow the course gets. The ride looks both terrifying and very fun. If you want to see more of McGuinness' skill, here's a clip of him riding at Le Mans at night. Delivering On Promises
The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid should surprise no one. Its look is something we've seen since the non-hybrid versions went on sale last year. Its powertrain, mostly, we are familiar with from the already-on-sale Accord Plug-In model. And the overall vibe of the car? Well, it's an Accord, which has been a strong seller in the US for three decades, so much so that there's a very good chance you've been in one at some point, whether you noticed or not.
Honda's first attempt at an Accord Hybrid, released in 2005, put dynamic performance first, but it didn't match the public's maturing perception of what a hybrid is all about: fuel economy. The 2005 version was capable of a measly 28 miles per gallon combined, 25 in the city and 33 on the highway. Remember those numbers, and that the first-generation Accord Hybrid lasted all of three model years before being axed.
