hello, what we have for your consideration is a 1993 honda civic vx. this is the high mpg model with the d15z1 lean burn engine and high geared 5 speed manual transmission. this vehicle regularly gets 50+mpg. snag this one up before gas prices rise again. get hybrid mileage without the hybrid cost!! im selling due to the fact it is my backup car. ive driven it less than 5k miles in the past year. id rather have it go to another so they can get some awesome fuel savings out of it. my main driver is a very similar car and it never breaks thats why i dont need this one!! it has 217k miles on it. runs and drives fine. no leaks, smoking, pops or grinds. has a nice cd player in it with usb/acc/ sirius capabilities. all new speakers. new parts: Tires, front and rear brakes (rotors, pads, shoes, drums), front and rear struts, rear lower control arms. car is going for an alignment before it is sold. ive checked it out for pa state inspection and it will pass no problem. i can inspect it for free if the buyer is in pa. cons:rear quarter rust is starting. it isnt terrible but noticeable. the windshield washer doesnt spray on the windshield. other than that i think everything works. interior is 7 out of 10, typical buckle of the driver seat is worn. some scuffs on the panels but very presentable. body has some little dings here and there but nothing major. if it hits my reserve i will include brand new front and rear bumper covers as well as the rust repair panels for the quarters. if you are a body man you could have a 3-4k dollar car once the body is fixed. im sure i may have missed somthing. please ask questions!! vehicle is sold as is. you can fly in and drive this home. lehigh valley airport is 15 minutes away. thanks for looking and happy bidding. |

2016 Honda HR-V: Long-Term Introduction
Mon, Nov 9 2015From the moment we first drove Honda's new HR-V, it was clear that this car would be a hit in the now-booming small crossover segment. Through October of this year, Honda moved 33,727 examples of its new HR-V, and last month alone, the CUV outsold its platform-mate Fit nearly three-and-a-half times over. Considering its importance not only for the segment, but for Honda as a brand, we knew a longer test of the cute little HR-V was in order. Enter our latest addition to the Autoblog long-term fleet, a mid-level HR-V EX with all-wheel drive. We chose EX because it's the volume model, representing the majority of the cars out on the road. Even so, it's incredibly well-equipped with 17-inch wheels, heated seats, a seven-inch infotainment system (that lacks navigation on this model), tinted windows, a sunroof, foglamps, a standard array of tech features, Honda's Lane Watch camera system, and more. Adding all-wheel drive was a no-brainer, considering Autoblog's headquarters in snowy metro Detroit, though this meant being forced to live with the continuously variable transmission. (Front-wheel-drive HR-Vs can be had with a pleasant six-speed manual.) Our car features the light cloth interior, and we'll be interested to see how it holds up over the course of a year. That means the HR-V is the least-expensive car we've ever had in the long-term fleet. Every HR-V comes with one powertrain: a 1.8-liter, naturally-aspirated inline-four, good for 141 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. That's adequate considering the 3,094-pound curb weight, and allows the HR-V to return EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 27 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg highway. Our car arrived with only 130 miles on the odometer, so we're going to let the engine fully break in before we start tracking our observed fuel economy data. That said, the HR-V has been a hot commodity in the Autoblog fleet ever since its arrival. In its first week on the job alone, the Honda handled a road trip to northern Michigan and helped one of our staffers move. Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
