1991 Honda Civic DX Hatchback 5 speed. has 251k on the body. all stock! All in one piece, this car was used but loved. I am the third owner, the 2nd owner titled it at 88k, I personally know the guy I bought it from, and I bought it with 237k. I bought this car with the purpose of commuting to my job, 25 miles one way highway, which I did for some time quite happily, but I finally had something catch my eye and I bought a newer Accord.
When I bought the car, its was smoking, so I had taken it to the shop and had a new motor put in (have receipt for parts and labor, also the it is the correct stock engine, no swaps) and timing belt and water pump done. Other repairs, most I have receipts for, alternator, rebuild shift linkage (genuine honda oem parts) brake pads & fluid (04/2013), starter, battery and terminals, muffler, brake master cylinder, matching winter tires with lots of tread mounted on the factory honda enkei rims. At the beginning of this season I brought the exhaust midpipe to a welder and had any weak spots taken care of so there would be no upcoming issues/corrosion to deal with, and I also replaced the gaskets between the pipes. The bad, one cylinder has a misfire. I work up to and sometimes over 70 hours a week, so I am not rushing to fix this...especially with a new daily driver and another 25 year old car I have that I love more. The valve gasket looks to be leaking, but this is old news and hasn't been a problem. The inspection expired at the end of Nov/2013, I took it in and it failed for hydrocarbon at low idle only and I have the paper. It will need a legal sticker. The A/C isnt ice cold anymore. Other than the misfire, this car still starts up, does not smoke, idles smooth/consistent, does not jump all over. Tracks straight, does not pull. 37 +/- mpg. Clutch is good. No cracks in dash. Seats are great 9/10. I had the driver seat bolster redone with matching fabric from another older honda, and the bolster restuffed. Stock radio, works, and speakers still work well. Heat is hot! Tires have loads of tread, brakes are newer. The rear defroster still works, the third wiper still works, the hatch light still works. The tires are snow tires and with the recent snow I was driving this car for the snow tires, and it didnt even complain at -7 degrees even with a misfire at one cylinder for misfire. If your interested, ask questions or come and see. Everyone has different standards and this car is 23 years old and was driven. Its lucky its had good owners who did not beat it and it shows it considering the age and miles, but its USED, as is, and not a garage queen. I tried to include all the info I can think of so I dont waste anyones time, but as always feel free to ask anything. Currently Registered and Insured. |

The Honda Neowing is a future-retro GoldWing trike
Thu, Oct 1 2015Honda hasn't made a flat-four powered GoldWing since 1987, so it's not that odd to call this trike styled like a Transformer more traditional than the current 'Wings. Then again, with that extra wheel up front and a hybrid drivetrain, it couldn't be less traditional. The styling is decidedly modern, marrying the unabashed futurism of the NM4 with some sport-touring cues. Honda says the Neowing is intended to explore whether the company can combine higher-speed engagement (read: leaning) with low-speed stability. A rider can't fall over at a stoplight on a Neowing, an important consideration when the current GoldWing weighs 904 to 933 pounds. The leaning ability is provided by a proprietary linkage, and even though its method of operation isn't specified, don't be surprised if it's largely the same as a Piaggio MP3 – a pioneer in the leaning three-wheel category. If you're wondering if the Neowing can make it to production, or whether it will look anything like this concept, consider the NM4, pictured at right. That motorcycle pairs pure concept styling with unconventional mechanicals, like the six-speed dual-clutch transmission that allows for full automatic operation. Both the styling and the DCT are intentionally disruptive in the segment; Honda wants to bring in nontraditional riders, and perhaps new riders. The DCT will appeal to those intimidated or uninterested in manually shifting, and the Neowing might appeal to riders looking to tour without fear of dropping a half-ton motorcycle. Honda will have the Neowing in Tokyo, and perhaps the company will shed more light on their plans for the wild-looking concept there.
2014 Honda Grom motorcycle is a 125cc-shot of awesome [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013
My very first turn at the handlebars of a motorcycle came courtesy of an MSF Honda CB125. Despite the fact that it wore a very stern sticker on the tank warning all who rode that it was for instructional purposes only and not for legal sale, I wanted nothing more than to ride it past the cones of my license test and straight home. There was just something about the lightweight, low-power machine that just felt right. Now Honda is giving American buyers the chance to take home something similar. Meet the Grom. Yes, it's basically a sexed-up scooter, but that's fine by me.
There's a fuel-injected 125cc single pushing the fat-tired bike around, and a four-speed gearbox handles shifting duty. The smallish 12-inch wheels give the Grom a bit of a goofball appearance, but the handsome bodywork and gold forks help offset the look. Something tells me this joker is more fun than should be legal. Check out a fun video of the bike in action by scrolling down, and while you're there, you'll find a full press release on all of the new Honda powersports models, including the Grom. You can also head over to the Honda consumer site for more information. The bike will land in showrooms this August with an MSRP of $2,999.
