2000 HONDA ACCORD LX COUPE 3.0L V6 SFI  SOHC white exterior tan interior.

Car is not running you MUST make arrangements to tow it away yourself.

Low mileage! This owner drove less than the industry average of 15,000 miles per year.

LOW mileage: has had an average of 7,000 miles or less of use per year. Scratched exterior: you may wish to repaint. Car not running with dead battery. Has not been driven for five months. Engine was making noise so we parked it in June 2013 -- unknown problem. Might be a simple thing like needing a new alternator or some belts, might be major. Car is due to get new drive chain and water pump as it approaches 100,000. Many exterior scratches from minor accidents, bumper stickers as pictured, and roof shingles fell on it two years ago during windstorm. Panel on back of passenger seat needs new clips. Front passenger visor needs new clip as well. Side airbags may not be operational as "SRS" light has been on for years and we haven't paid the dealer to reset it.

We have paid to have CARFAX available and I have taken over 30 photos showing everything possible on the car. ONE FAMILY OWNED.

My brother & his wife owned it first. He is a lawyer in the California Los Angeles -- Pasadena area. This car was bought to drive clients in, so he kept it showroom-spotless. He sold it to my mother, who lives in Arizona. She and her husband have multiple cars, so it was not driven much. I bought it off them to have a reliable car. My husband and my grown son have driven the car some, but mostly I just drove it in Albuquerque to and from work. I smoke, and I have had a variety of grandchildren and animals in the car. (Dogs, cats, guinea pigs & gerbils.) The "last mileage reported" is from 2008. I didn't think to write down the current mileage before the battery died, and I'm not going to jump the car just to give a reading unless eBay insists. I run about 7,000 miles a year in use, so do your own math. We have used the local Albuquerque car repair shop "Dearholt AutoCare"  for almost every repair and oil change so you can check their records if you'd like the car's history.

I tend to bang into things in the parking lot, so it gets scratched about every six months. Carfax has minor accidents reported on: 04/19/2010 and 03/22/2012. Registration current until 5/2014, although in New Mexico you will have to re-register as soon as you purchase it, since plates follow the owner, not the car.

On Nov-17-13 at 19:23:10 PST, seller added the following information:

Both knobs on the heat / cooling console have come loose, but they aren't needed, as you can turn the fan and temperature on and off by rotating the stems. Both knobs are still loose in the car.

Honda goes big for bikes: Concept CB, Super Cub [w/video]

Wed, Oct 28 2015

Unlike similar many major automobile shows around the world, the Tokyo includes a significant number of motorcycles in addition to the new, four-wheeled vehicles on display. Showing its standing as a major player in the two-wheeled world, Honda has quite of slate of intriguing concept bikes at the show this year. With its futuristic, razor-sharp styling, the Neowing concept wouldn't look too out of place in a sci-fi anime. However, the bike's layout lets it lean into turns, while still offering riders three-wheeled stability. Power comes from a flat-four engine with hybrid assistance. Honda also takes its little Grom 50 motorcycle and adds some dirt bike aesthetics. The Scrambler Concept-One does that with vintage-inspired details like the pads on the tank and holes in the muffler guard. Meanwhile, the Scrambler Concept-Two goes for a more modern look and some military-inspired green paint. For another retro look, the company also imagines two new versions of the classic Cub. The EV-Cub Concept replaces the engine with an electric motor for short-distance commuting. Alternatively, the blue Super Cub Concept sticks with gasoline for fuel but tries to get the best economy possible for longer rides. Finally, the CB Concept updates the already classically inspired CB1100. Up front, the headlight now uses an LED, and the air-cooled inline-four gets a new, two-chamber exhaust to replace the current three-chamber design. As the photos above show, the chrome trim really makes the bike pop on stage. Check out the videos below for a closer look at the Grom 50 and Cub concepts. We drive Honda's turbo/manual Civic prototype (briefly)

Mon, Feb 22 2016

You could almost hear it. There was a furor. And it all had to do with a transmission. On September 16, Honda showed the all-new, tenth-generation Civic. Fitted with a turbocharged engine for the first time, enthusiasts were excited. Until they realized the new 1.5-liter Earth Dreams four-cylinder turbo would only be offered with a continuously variable transmission, something that elicits a passionate, all-consuming, and utterly unquenchable hatred among (most) enthusiasts. Honda was listening. On the recent Civic Coupe launch, the company confirmed to us that a manual transmission will soon be offered on turbocharged Civics, regardless of body style. And then we drove a prototype. Now, let's be very clear, the car we drove was an early test vehicle. It was camouflaged, cobbled together – it was born with a turbo and an automatic before Honda's engineers got their hands on it – and to cap it all off, we got approximately five minutes of seat time. We couldn't even shoot the darn thing, which is why you're looking at one really bad iPhone picture up top. But five minutes is better than nothing at all, right? View 40 Photos The 1.5T and six-speed manual are a natural fit, simply because they're both already so good on their own. Our immediate impression is that even though this is an early development vehicle, fitting the 1.5-liter turbo with a manual transmission is a natural pairing. This is largely because the engine and transmission are so good on their own. We've raved about the turbocharged four-cylinder and its ultra-broad torque peak before – all 162 pound-feet of torque are on tap between 1,700 and 5,500 rpm – but the six-speed stick is no slouch either. Normally paired with the 2.0-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder, the clutch's action is light and springy, and finding the catch point is easy. And the shift lever, in typical Honda fashion, has a smooth, enjoyable action and easy-to-access gates. Putting the turbo and manual together doesn't transform a normal Civic into an Si or Type R, but it automatically (sorry) makes for a more engaging and entertaining compact sedan. Because of the broad torque curve, more speed is just a single-gear downshift away. And that downshift is downright easy to kick out, too. Simply put, the turbocharged engine feels more urgent and eager, especially off the line, with the manual.

2015 Honda Fit production gets underway in Mexico

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

After two years of construction, Honda's new factory in Celaya, Mexico, has officially begun production of the all-new 2015 Fit in North America. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Honda President and CEO Takanobu Ito both attended the opening and watched the first Fit roll off the line at the $800-million plant. Later this year, Honda will add production of its new Vezel small crossover to the new facility, though the latter is expected to be marketed in North America under a new name.
The Celaya factory will specialize in building subcompact cars by employing cutting-edge tech to use less material and less energy during production. Honda is still constructing a $470-million transmission plant on the campus to build continuously variable transmissions in the second half of 2015. When it's finished, it is expected to have an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles and employ 3,200 people.
With the facility's completion, Honda now has a 1.92-million unit annual production capacity in North America, and it claims that when Celaya reaches full production, 95-percent of vehicles sold in the US will be built in North America. The new Fit has already proven quite popular in Japan, and now we will have to wait and see if North American buyers embrace it as well. The first new Fit customer cars will hit the roads later this spring, and as Honda spokesman Steve Kinkade tells Autoblog, all Fit models sold in North American will be built at the plant. Scroll down to read the full press release about the Fit and its new Mexican home.
