I'm selling this vehicle AS-IS.
I've had this vehicle since 2000, traveled with me on my multiple moves around the country and been a work horse even up a few weeks ago. Because of its age and mileage, I've had to put in a number of maintenance repairs. Otherwise, this car has been a reliable companion. It still gets great gas mileage (up to 33 mpg highway).
Why I'm selling this vehicle? It suddenly burned oil one day (I never had to do this while I had it), figured it was a oil issue. After a costly repair, smoke still persisted. I could continue driving it even with all the smoke but I'm no longer comfortable doing so or afford to do any follow-up repair work.
This last repair work is the only one conducted this year and it involved the following:
- Oil change
- Replaced all timing belts and serpentine belts
- Replaced water pump
- Replaced PCP valve
- Oil seal and seal retainer
- New antifreeze
- New set of wiper blades that I was going to install until this most recent event
Last year's repair work included:
- Replacing water hose
- Replacing front and rear engine/motor mounts
- Cleaned throttle body
- Replaced the front windshield
Why am I selling at this price? As much as I'd like to take advantage of the full Blue-Book value because of the overall condition of this car (pre-recent repair), I am simply trying to recoup some of the costly repair money from this last go around. If you can revive this car and put it back in pristine running condition, then you will likely enjoy it for a little while longer. I hope you are clear of what you are getting with this listing.
Other information you should know about?
- Feel free to ask me any questions or clarifications. I will be clear and upfront with you as I have nothing to hide. My intent is to sell this to someone who will have better use of this.
- You will be responsible for picking up this car. However, I am willing to let you inspect it in person and decide for yourself before making final arrangements. In that case, I will only take cash please. Otherwise, we do everything through Ebay/Paypal.
- If you live within 150 miles of me, I might be able to tow this car to a destination of your choice. Again, just contact me for details.
- I welcome all offers and will take the best one. In case you haven't noticed, I am selling this one way or another...as-is.
Contact me anytime and happy bidding!

Honda CB350 and cafe racer culture explored by Electric Federal
Sun, 20 Oct 2013The latest video from Electric Federal covers one of our favorite aspects of motorcycle culture - café racers. In an interview with Adam "Gasser" Gaspic, the owner of Gasser Customs, EF takes a look at the culture and one of Gasser's latest offerings, a hopped-up Honda CB350, called the Silver Bullet.
Gasser has gone all-out on the Silver Bullet, replacing some of the body parts with fiberglass and delivering more than a few upgrades to the rebuilt engine. The brakes and suspension of the smaller bike also get some attention, as do some of the bike's aesthetics. Besides the upgrades, there's just something to be said for the sleek, minimalist nature of the little Honda.
Naturally, the videography is gorgeous, and it's a great look at a kind of motorcycling that seems to be overlooked in the world of sport bikes and Harley-Davidson-style cruisers. Take a look below for the full video.
2017 Honda Civic Coupe spotted for the first time
Mon, Mar 30 2015Rumors about the next-generation Honda Civic have been coming fast and furious in recent weeks. The speculation suggests the future model will use a new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and some European body styles will come across the Atlantic. There's even the potential for an overhaul of the CR-Z on the same platform. Now, we've got a glimpse at what the next Civic looks like in coupe and sedan form. Our spies believe that under all that black diaper is the 2017 Civic Coupe, but it's hard to discern any details. With an open section on top it's even difficult to get a good idea of the roofline, though some of the photos suggest a fastback-style rear. The examples concealed in white are believed to be the future Civic Sedan, and one of them is exposed enough to get a good idea of its shape. In profile the look is reminiscent of the current Accord, which is good, if conservative. Seeing the two versions together provides few hints about the coupe's styling, other than a shared wheelbase between both cars. The apparent door handle cutout on the driver's side of the coupe is likely a camouflage trick to hide any information about the length or shape of the doors. One recent rumor suggests that the next-gen Civic's styling could be fully unveiled towards the end of 2015. Until then, click through the gallery of spy shots, and let us know in Comments what you think of this design direction. Related Video:
Honda to field this awesome Civic Tourer wagon in BTCC next season
Tue, 03 Dec 2013We all know that the letters BTCC stand for British Touring Car Championship. But one of those Cs might as well stand for Civic, so dominant has the Honda team been in one of the most competitive tin-top racing series in the world. Honda has taken the manufacturers' and teams' titles in the BTCC for the past four years running, and the championship-winning drivers for the past three years have claimed the prize behind the wheel of a Civic. While that might have proven enough for any other manufacturer, Honda is returning again next season to defend its dominant position, and has just revealed the new car with which it intends to do so.
Next year Honda will be back on the grid with another Civic, only this time it's based on the new Euro-spec Civic Tourer. That will make Honda the only team in the BTCC (and one of only a few worldwide) fielding a wagon-based racing car. In announcing the new BTCC-spec Civic Tourer, the Honda Yuasa Racing team only released this one photo and didn't reveal much in the way of details, but team manager Peter Crolla indicated that "the weight, wheelbase, layout and suspension remain the same" as the hatchback which it will replace, only with a longer roofline.
Testing of the new touring wagon will commence in January before returning champions Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal will pilot the new Civic Tourer in the season opener at Brands Hatch in the UK in late March. It remains to be seen what car Andrew Jordan (who took the title this year in another Civic with the Pirtek Racing team) will be driving next season, but in the meantime, you can check out the full press release below for more.
