Up for sale is a 2002 GMC Yukon Denali XL. This vehicle is all wheel drive with the V-8 Vortec 6000 gas engine. The Denali is currently on the road and driven regularly. The condition of the body is good with minimal rust. Tires are in good shape. Interior is average for the age of the vehicle. The Denali starts and runs well. The brakes are in good condition. I have title in hand.

As the Denali is being driven, mileage will differ from what is currently shown on the odometer.

Kelly Blue Book approximates value at $8,500.  Reserve is set low to account for repairs needed to the exhaust manifold and transfer casing.

The Denali is for sale in used AS IS condition.  I am selling this because my wife wants something smaller for the winter.

The SUV will not be shipped.  It is being sold as is, where is.

GM says its electric pickup truck is 'in development'

Thu, Jun 6 2019

GM President Mark Reuss just reiterated the company's support for an electric pickup project. He also claimed that GM is going to be selling its future electric cars at "very average transaction prices" during the same conference with Wall Street analysts. Previously, Mary Barra informed the world of GM's electric pickup truck aspirations, but didn't tell us anything else. Reuss says the truck is already in development, though, according to a Wards Auto report. "We will have a complete electric lineup, including a pickup truck that's in development," Reuss said. This comment marks the second time GM has gone on the record about its intentions to bring an electric pickup to market. Additionally, Reuss said GM's third-generation global EV platform will be used to help develop the electric pickup. This platform was recently announced to underpin at least 20 new EVs from GM in the future — the platform itself is slated to be unveiled in 2021. Of course, this platform will be flexible and modular to allow various body styles to be used with it, a truck being one of those. Reuss still hasn't said what GM brand the pickup will be sold under, or what class of truck it will be. GM thinks this new platform is also going to be what helps it drive down the cost of building EVs. "We'll reach parity a lot sooner than people think," Reuss said comparing EVs to traditional gas-powered engines. "We're driving down the cost of batteries and the whole EV in general." As for electric pickups, Ford is also deep in development of its own electric F-150. However, neither of these truck projects have official timelines on them, so we can't say when they'll hit the market. For now, the cross-town rivals are both in development with their respective electric pickups. Even further across town is Rivian (in which Ford just invested half a billion dollars), a company that says its electric R1T pickup is right around the corner, with the official due date being end of 2020 for the time being. GMC Hummer EV SUV to be fully revealed during Final Four in April

Mon, Mar 8 2021

GMC is going to use another large platform to reveal the next chapter in its Hummer story. The GMC Hummer EV SUV will officially be revealed on Saturday, April 3, at 5 p.m. ET during the Final Four. That’s the SUV, not the truck, which has already been revealed. YouÂ’ll be allowed to place a reservation for the SUV at the same time as itÂ’s unveiled during the basketball games. There are no further details about the SUV, but weÂ’ll point out that a decent preview of what the SUV will look like is already out and can be seen here. ItÂ’s going to look a whole lot like the pickup, but will of course be fully boxed in, as an SUV is. WeÂ’ll know more about what GMC has in store in just under a monthÂ’s time.  In addition to the news about the impending SUV, GMC released video footage of the pickup version undergoing winter testing in MichiganÂ’s snowy Upper Peninsula. You can see the video below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. GM says that itÂ’s using this region to dial in and calibrate the truckÂ’s all-wheel-drive torque distribution, traction control system and stability control. Testing is conducted on snow, ice, and steep and split-friction grades. ThatÂ’s all GM is letting us in on for now, but at least we have the second version of the electric Hummer in our scopes now and will be eagerly anticipating its reveal. 'Killing a Duramax' Gale Banks YouTube series methodically tunes a diesel to death

Thu, Feb 27 2020

Learning or perfecting a skill by watching YouTube videos is known as attending YouTube University. GM Authority picked up on one of the video site's more fascinating courses, hosted by Gale Banks; in a fair world, he should be referred to as Professor Banks when it comes to diesel engines and truck tuning. A few months after GM introduced the updated L5P 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 in the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD that ships with 454 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, Banks decided he wanted to methodically tune the engine to death. The purpose of the resulting series, called "Killing a Duramax," is to push more power out of the engine in order to discover which parts break and when — or, as Banks puts it, force-feed the Duramax "until the crank hits the street and the heads hit the hood." With that knowledge, Banks can figure out all the weak points on his way to building what he calls a "Superturbo," that being a supercharged, twin-turbo race engine with more than 1,000 hp. What makes the series fascinating is Banks' knowledge, paired with the company's comprehensive iDash engine monitoring system that keeps tabs on a glut of parameters every step of the way. So for instance, you get Banks explaining the differences between inches of mercury and barometric pressure, how those are different from the water content of the air measured in grains, then showing those readouts on the iDash, then explaining in detail how they affect the air density in the Duramax system. The stock Borg-Warner variable turbo gets a lot of airtime — Banks accuses it of being "out to lunch" because he feels it's the weakest link on the engine. That turns into a turbo teardown and a deep explanation of performance pitfalls, such as when air pressure on the turbine begins to diverge from the boost pressure coming from the compressor. Banks says he can keep close tabs on where power's coming from, because the iDash monitors the horsepower contribution provided by the ambient air, the turbo, and the intercooler separately. The major changes so far are a stouter Precision 7675 turbo and TurboSmart wastegate (episode 5), a twin intake (episode 6), a custom liquid-cooled intercooler from a marine engine, a new GM oil cooler and synthetic oil (episode 10), and new injectors (episode 11).
