This is a very cool old GMC suburban. It is sitting on a mid 70's short bed Chevrolet pickup frame. Thus it rides and handles much better than it did from the factory. It has a 350 V-8 with a 400 turbo transmission, and a 12 bolt rear end. Entire driveline is in very good shape and it runs out just fine. Power steering and power disc brakes. Tilt wheel. The tires are like new. The wheels are factory rally wheels with new stainless steel trim rings and NOS GMC center caps. The rear carpeting and stainless steel bed strips are all new. The front floor was done up with hardwood flooring. Would not be my choice but done OK. It has a new headliner front to back, new tinted side windows, new window rubber seals. Windows all work as they should. Door locks work. Dash is nice. All gauges work except speedometer which sometimes works. Wipers and horn work. It has a complete new wiring system. The body is painted dark blue suede ( not shinny ) with pin stripe accents. It is not show but still very cool looking. ( Note: I was unable to wash the truck before taking these pictures. The stains on the top of the roof are just dirt stains and the truck in general needed a wash job but it was too cold here at the time of pics) You could actually shoot it with a clear coat if shinny is your preference. The body is very solid. I have taken a magnet all over the body and cannot find any body filler anywhere. I believe it to be an all original and rust free body. New foot wells have been welded in. The underside is very solid. Only found 2 very small areas where panels were welded in front floor pans under where your feet would be,( about 6" in diameter each ) and there are still 2 small areas in each corner of the back area near where the bumper brackets come through that could use some repair work. Nothing major or structural. All original body mounts are solid and in great shape. The seats are in great shape. The front is mounted permanently, but the 2 buckets are just screwed down to the wood floor for a temporary fit. I do have a third bench seat that goes with it. Same pattern and material, but in a gray color. The front seat track moves forward and the front seat back leans forward enough for an adult to gain access to the back seats. I am 6 foot tall and 230 lbs, and I can get into the back.

All in all, this is a solid, rare, and desirable truck that is ready to go to the next level, drive as is, or take it down a notch to make a rat rod out of it. It appears to have been a light blue originally, so some light color sanding on high points could easily turn it into a very cool rat rod. Use it to pull around your gasser, hot rod, race car, street rod, or whatever in style. Throw your company name on the side and go have some fun.

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

For those of you over seas; I have sold quite a few cars to guys in Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, etc. so I know how that works.

Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person.

Call me at 314-732-592five to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave

One more time, NO TRADES, Please do not ask. If you do not know, understand, and accept what "no trades" means, then you surely do not have a car that I would not be interested in.

I do not respond to low ball offers, text messages, or take offers over the phone. If you want to make an offer, please do so through ebay email. Include your name and contact info. If I feel you are a serious buyer, I will call you back. If you do not hear back from me, then my vehicle must be out of your price range. Once my vehicle hits it's reserve price, I will not end the auction.

I do not give out my reserve price. Too many knuckleheads out there that like to play games with bidding just under the reserve amount with no intention of actually buying a vehicle. Makes it look like schill bidding is going on.

If you have a feed back rating less that 100% or zero feedback, you might want to check with me before bidding. I will sometimes block or cancel bids if I get a bad feeling for the bidder.

For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership.

If you need a good, reliable, dependable, and reasonable shipper, please try Mark and Lorrie at 479-799-1609. Tell them Dave Walters from Fenton, MO told you to call them to get the best rate.

Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave

Best Large SUVs of 2024

Tue, Dec 19 2023

When it comes down to large SUVs, there's more to consider than price and just how large it is. First, it comes down to what's underneath the skin. Some are built on a truck-like body-on-frame chassis — this would be the traditional, literal definition of an "SUV." Others use car-like, unibody construction, which would make them a crossover. What really matters, though, is how you use them. For most American families, a large three-row crossover is going to be your best bet. They have loads of passenger and cargo space, and deliver superior fuel economy, handling and ride quality than those big traditional SUVs. They're cheaper, too. On the other hand, those traditional large SUVs like the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition are better-suited for more heavy-duty tasks like towing. Most now have bigger third rows than big crossovers, while extended-length versions like the Chevy Suburban have way more cargo capacity behind their third rows than everything but an airport shuttle. As for luxury large SUVs, they fall into those same two categories as well, with American choices mostly being truck-based. The pros and cons of choosing one over another are similar. Below, you will find our list of the best large SUVs broken down into three categories: large family crossover, large traditional SUV and large luxury SUVs, which comprise both construction types.  Best Large Family Crossovers  |  Best Large Traditional SUVs  |  Best Large Luxury SUVs Best Large Family Crossovers 2024 Honda Pilot Why it stands out: Exceptional storage and cargo space; unique second-row functionality; refined ride; versatile and capable TrailSport; advanced AWDCould be better: Subpar acceleration with lackadaisical transmission and engine response; so-so driver assistance tech Read our full 2024 Honda Pilot Review The Honda Pilot was completely redesigned for 2023. It maintains its predecessor's family-friendly packaging and overall focus, but it has injected a welcome sense of style (especially in the TrailSport pictured above) that makes it stand out much better from the big crossover crowd. The Pilot's restrained adornment and classic proportions are refreshing compared to the increasingly busy Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade and Subaru Ascent. Let's talk about practicality, though, which is ultimately the Pilot's best attribute.

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali interior spied with dramatic redesign

Wed, May 19 2021

The 2022 GMC Sierra’s interior overhaul is coming into better view with these new spy shots revealing a totally new dash.  GMC teased out a few changes when it announced Super Cruise was coming to the 2022 Sierra, but only so much was visible in the tightly cropped photo. These spy shots tell a fuller story about whatÂ’s going on inside the new GMC pickup. WeÂ’re instantly drawn to the new center stack that doesnÂ’t even remotely look like the truckÂ’s current design. ThereÂ’s a new widescreen infotainment system integrated nicely into the dash just below new thin air vents. It appears to be running a version of Android Automotive. The Google Assistant bubble is visible in the top left corner, and a Google sign-in screen is showing on the far right. GMC is obviously still prioritizing hard buttons and knobs for all vital controls. A big, knurled-looking volume knob is positioned to the left of the screen. And the climate control layout is all buttons and knobs with glossy black and chrome accents. This, along with the angled surfaces, classes it up a bit versus the current sea of flat black center stack buttons. Even the push button start appears dressed up in chrome. One other large change to the center console area is the introduction of a gear lever replacing the column-mounted shifter. The new shifter looks slathered in leather, glossy plastic and chrome accents. ThereÂ’s a part of us that will miss the chunky truck-like operation of the column-mounted shifter, but this new design is certainly more befitting of a luxury pickup. And from what we can tell, this Sierra is the luxury-oriented Denali trim. Its exterior features give it away with the ostentatious grille treatment and chrome trim scattered about. We still donÂ’t know which, if any, of these features we see here will be exclusive to the Denali, but the digital instrument cluster seems like a given but will likely be available further down the trim tree. This replaces the truckÂ’s current, tired-looking gauges with a vibrant and neatly-integrated screen. Super Cruise, as it is throughout the lineup of GM cars that offer it, also looks optional — this Denali does not have the fancy light-up steering wheel or controls for it. ItÂ’s worth noting that this DenaliÂ’s interior could be different than the rest of the Sierra lineup. GM already did that with the redesigned Yukon, giving its top trim model a different look than the rest of the trims.
