This 1991 GMC Syclone pick up is #2264 of 2995 trucks built in 1991.  I purchased this rare collector vehicle in 2009 from the estate of the original southern California owner.  This truck has been in storage 5 years before I purchased it and brought it to Arizona.  I have only drove it 543 miles before I went to Iraq and put it in storage since 2009.  I brought it to Harrison, Arkansas Nov. 2013 and still in storage.  There is no rust.  It is in very nice condition and has been professionally maintained by certified auto techs all it's life and kept garaged.  If you don't know what a GMC Syclone is you might Google it.  Very rare AWD Turbocharged 4.3L V-6 known as the fastest SUV ever produced in it's time.

BODY:  The paint is not factory and is a midnight purple.  The paint has scratches in the hood on the left front fender and other areas on the body.  The lower cladding has road rash on both sides from tires throwing up road material.  There is a tiny ding on tailgate.  There is a small antenna mounted on the roof.  I have a complete decal set included with truck.  I was told that it was involved in a small fender bender and hood was replaced.  I think the clear coat might be able to be sanded and re sprayed which would remove about 90% of scratches.

INTERIOR:  Is in good shape except the passenger side top of dash has crack by speaker and there are some cigarette burns in the console cup holder.  Does not smell like smoke at all.  The A/C does need recharged.  The compressor does turn fine but system needs charged.  I will include 3 cans of R-12 to the buyer for charging the system.

TIRES, SUSPENSION AND BRAKES:  I bought new tires and only put about 300 miles on them.  The wheels look as if they need some cleaning or new clear coating.  The shocks are good and the suspension seems good.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION:  The engine and transmission run strong with no leaks.  I just replaced the spark plugs, changed the engine oil and filter and change fuel filter.  Not sure how old cap, rotor and spark plug wires are .

This syclone has not been modified.  Everything is factory stock.  I am including a syclone service manual supplement, factory data sheets, a Syclone decal kit and the first owner's original purchase contract from the dealer in Hemet, CA

This vehicle is used and being sold as is.  I would encourage you to ask questions and stop by and inspect the truck before you bid.  Please only bid if you intend to pay.  This makes auction fair for everybody concerned.  I might be willing to transport the syclone in my enclosed car trailer for additional fee after an agreement is met.  I will be happy to answer any and all of your questions as quickly as I can.  If you need additional pictures or close up shots please let me know.  Thanks for looking and Happy bidding.

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANYTIME DUE TO ADVERTISING LOCALLY.

GM forced to cut truck production amid semiconductor shortage

Thu, Jul 22 2021

WASHINGTON — General Motors said Wednesday it will cut some truck production in North America because of the ongoing global semiconductor shortage. The largest U.S. automaker said its Flint Assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks will operate on one production shift the week of July 26. GM said its Ft. Wayne Assembly plant in Indiana that builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 model trucks will be idled next week. GM's Silao Assembly plant in Mexico that also builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Cheyenne (for the Mexico market) and GMC Sierra 1500 will also suspend production next week. All three plants are expected to resume regular production the week of August 2. Related video:

GMC Canyon will debut in Detroit

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

With the debut of the Chevrolet Colorado at November's Los Angeles Auto Show, perhaps it was only a matter of time before we saw the small truck's GMC counterpart. That time will be January, as we've received official confirmation that the GMC Canyon will be revived at next month's North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The news came in the latest issue of the Detroit Auto Show's newsletter, NAIAS Connect. The article hasn't been posted online quite yet, but it details the Canyon as one of the world production debuts slated for the show.
While we've heard rumors that the Canyon would arrive in Detroit, this is our first concrete bit of evidence. As we've detailed before, we expect the Canyon to be stylistically quite different than the Colorado, though the underpinnings will be shared. The teaser image we have above is currently our only look at the new truck. We'll hopefully have more details in the next few weeks as the GMC Canyon draws closer to its official debut.

2014 GMC Sierra

Is the Best GMC Truck Ever Made Good Enough?
We've got a bright aluminum Airstream camper hitched to our rear bumper as we head up Southern California's coast because GMC says that 60 percent of all full-size pickup owners will use their trucks for towing.
Rather than forcing us to absorb its capabilities in a long-winded PowerPoint presentation, the automaker brought us to Los Angeles and handed us the keys to its all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. After jumping behind the wheel of a 5.3-liter V8 model, we drove up the foggy Malibu coast (locals call the soggy early-summer weather "June Gloom") and made our way to the Camarillo Airport for a towing refresher. Once completed, a brand-new 23-foot Airstream was hitched to our aft end and we were pointed towards a campground just west of Santa Barbara.
