I am selling my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT 2500HD 4x4. Powered by the 6.6l LML duramax diesel engine and allison 6 speed
automatic transmission. Only 26k miles, CLEAN TITLE with no accidents. This truck has the loaded SLT package, which
is basically a Denali without the sunroof. Has all power options, heated and cooled leather seats, memory seats,
navigation system, bluetooth, remote link, reverse camera, front & rear parking sensors, LED bed lights, hill
decent control, adjustable foot pedals, bose sound system, onstar, satellite radio, towing package, exhaust brake,
z71 off road pkg, LED cab lights, dual alternators and duramax plus package.
The truck runs and drives like new, no warning or check engine lights on dash, no problems or issues, all
maintenance is up to date, very clean & LIKE NEW CONDITION!
I bought this truck new in August of 2014 and it has been my baby. I am very meticulous with my vehicles so the
truck was very well cared for. I followed the 500 mile break in procedure and right after I bought it, it was
professionally undercoated. It has been in storage all winter so there is no rust anywhere on the truck and it's
always garaged next to my z06. It has only been hand washed with three buckets and never been through an automatic
car wash, or washed by anyone other than myself. I fully detailed the truck twice a year (clay barred, waxed and
sealed) so the paint is in perfect shape. Absolutely no dents, dings or scratches. The interior is in mint
condition and still has that "new car smell" I have always had all weather floor mats installed from day one, so
the carpet is immaculate. Never smoked, eaten or had any pets in my truck.
Here are the aftermarket parts currently installed. (All of the work was done myself because I don't trust anyone
with my vehicles)
Engine Mods
S&B performance intake
Airdog 4G 165 GPH lift pump
EGR blocked & PCV rerouted
Resonator, DPF & DEF delete
High flow diamond eye downpipe

EFILive tuning by Idaho Rob (Stock 397hp/765tq, Econ 13-23mpg, Street 450hp, Performance 550hp/1050tq, Towing 430hp
with enhanced exhaust brake)
Edge insight CTS II digital gauge monitor
Cosmetic
RBP grill
Bumper grill insert
ATS differential cover (new differential fluid when lift was installed)
4" round nerf bars
25% tint on front windows and 5% on rear
Weathertech mud flaps
Weathertech digital fit all weather floor mats
LED lights all around
HID headlight conversion
Custom LED halo fog lights
Rear step bumper lights
Suspension (all ball joints and bushings were replaced when the lift was installed)
Cognito 10-12" stage 2 lift kit WITH ALL UPGRADES (Cognito upper control arms, driveshaft, trans bracket, fox
reservoir shocks, stainless steel brake lines, steering brace kit and HD end links)
Profab HD traction bars
24x14 Hostile wheels -76 offset
40x15.50 nitto trail grappler tires (95% tread remaining. (New tires in October)
Included with the truck are all original booklets, window sticker, build sheet, both sets of keys and factory parts
(full exhaust & emissions system, suspension parts and engine accessories)
This truck turns heads everywhere it goes and people are always asking about it, taking pictures, etc.
I have around $100,000 invested and hate to sell, but I want to build a house.

GM taps Honeywell's Quality Control System for Ultium battery plant

Mon, Sep 27 2021

The Chevrolet Bolt recall has been so frustrating for General Motors that the automaker made an unexpected show of public hopelessness in saying it was "not confident" that LG — which produces the Bolt's batteries — could produce batteries without defects. Even though the remark came before investigation teams founds the source of the Bolt battery issue, it was even more strange considering GM and LG are still in bed together, the two having invested more than $2.3 billion in a 2.8-million-square-foot plant to make GM's Ultium batteries in Lordstown, Ohio. Now that GM has even more motivation to keep its Ultium batteries free of scandal, GM has tapped Honeywell for that company's Quality Control System at the Lordstown facility. The Honeywell QCS will monitor four of the production lines at the facility using "high-precision scanners and basis weight sensors." One of the parameters measured will be electrode coat weight, a key stat in battery performance. Another measurement and control company wrote, "Improving the electrode coating process is a significant part of the equation to delivering better quality and better performing cells – and coating uniformity is seen more and more as a critical requirement." Honeywell says it has more than 20 years of experience with lithium-ion technology, and the firm is already found throughout the green economy. A GM spokesman made sure to say that "the awarding of the Ultium contract to Honeywell has nothing to do with the Bolt recall." Yet in the Honeywell press release, a company director spoke words that could have come straight from GM, with, "Given the opportunity at hand, battery manufacturers such as Ultium Cells must be able to bring new solutions to market with confidence." The new Lordstown facility is scheduled to open in the first quarter of next year. It will employ more than 1,100 workers building the prime movers for coming EVs like the new Hummer and the Cadillaq Lyriq. Ideally, before then, GM will have found and fixed all of the Bolts with issues, and can begin its Ultium era under sunny skies. The automaker started accepting LG batteries again last week, the new batteries should begin reaching dealers around the same time Bolt production resumes on October 11. GM threatens predatory dealers with order cancellations, non-transferrable warranties

Fri, Jul 29 2022

General Motors will launch a second salvo against misbehaving dealerships next week with a new set of policies aimed at curbing predatory markup strategies. With the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, GMC Hummer EV SUV and Cadillac Escalade-V about to head into production, GM is putting its foot down yet again. Dealers that attempt to circumvent GM's markup restrictions by dealing directly with brokers or other resellers could find themselves in a particularly nasty spot, as the company is threatening to withhold future allocations and end the transferability of warranties when dealers facilitate the reselling of vehicles within 12 months.  While this may help curb some dealership chicanery, it's possible the real loser in such a deal could end up being the customer who unwittingly ends up with an un-warrantied vehicle. We suspect GM has accounted for that, but we'll have to wait until next week to find out exactly how these new policies will be enforced.

GM is the latest automaker accused of diesel emissions cheating

Thu, May 25 2017

Volkswagen and Ram need to make room on the diesel-emissions bench for General Motors. America's largest automaker was accused in a lawsuit on Thursday of rigging hundreds of thousands of diesel trucks with at least three so-called defeat devices to ensure that the trucks would meet federal and state emission standards, even if they generated more pollution in real-world driving. According to the complaint, on-road emissions testing conducted for the plaintiffs found that Duramax-equipped trucks produced NOx pollutants, comprised of nitrogen and oxygen atoms, two to five times higher than legally permitted, and "many times" higher than their gasoline counterparts. The proposed class-action lawsuit was filed in federal court in Detroit on behalf of people who own or lease more than 705,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks fitted with "Duramax" engines from 2011 to 2016 model years. The lawsuit seeks remedies including possible refunds or restitution for lost vehicle value, plus punitive damages. It adds to legal problems for Detroit-based GM, which has already paid about $2.5 billion in penalties and settlements over faulty ignition switches linked to 124 deaths. GM joins at least five automakers whose diesel emissions have been scrutinized by regulators or consumers. They include VW, which has admitted to cheating; Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler; Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Peugeot and Renault. GM spokesman Dan Flores called the claims "baseless," and said the trucks comply with US Environmental Protection Agency emissions standards and California's own tough standards. Shares of GM were down 69 cents, or 2.1 percent, at $32.50 in afternoon trading, after earlier falling to $31.93. The GM lawsuit was filed by several law firms, including Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, which helped reach multibillion-dollar settlements with VW on behalf of drivers and dealers. The case is Fenner et al v General Motors LLC et al, US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, No. 17-11661. The named plaintiffs are Andrei Fenner of Mountain View, California and Joshua Herman of Sulphur, Louisiana. They said they would not have bought their respective 2011 Sierra and 2016 Silverado trucks, or would have paid less for them, had they known about the alleged rigging. Joseph Spak, an RBC Capital Markets analyst, in a research report said "negative publicity" from the lawsuit could drive buyers to trucks from Ford or even Fiat Chrysler's Ram.
