Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
2013 SIERRA 1500 CREW CAB THIS IS THE ALC DUCKS UNLIMITED PACKAGE Z92!!! THIS TRUCK IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, HAS ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES, AND IS THE TOP OF THE LINE GMC TRUCK ALL WORK DONE ON THIS TRUCK WAS COMPLETED BY A LICENSED GMC AFFILIATE AND EVERYTHING IN PLACE IS COVERED BY A GMC FACTORY WARRANTY UP TO 90K MILES. SPECIFICS ARE AS FOLLOWS: FAB-TECH 6" LIFT 35 INCH MICKEY THOMPSON TIRES 20" CUSTOM RIMS TWIN STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUSTS CHROME DOOR HANDLES AND ACCENTS DUCKS UNLIMITED INTERIOR PACKAGE (SEE PHOTOS) ALC OFF ROAD SUSPENSION WITH COMFORT RIDE CHROME ASSIST RAILS ALUMINUM BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL PACKAGE GM FACTORY VCI COMPUTER UPGRADE 4 VENT SHADES CHROME TAILGATE COVERS CHROME MIRROR DETAIL CUSTOMIZED DASH FACE PLATE DUCKS UNLIMITED DASH BEZELS AND GAUGES HANDMADE STITCHED SEAT EMBROIDERY ALC HIGHLINE TRIM PACKAGE ALC BLACKOUT PACKAGE FLOW PRO DUAL EXHAUST BED RAIL CAPS BED RUG BED LINER This is a showroom truck, and an exceptional truck that rides great and will get the job done. It is basically new, and has not been in the MUD. I have babied this truck and only put 4k miles on it since owning. The detail on this truck is phenomenal. Again, everything done to this NEW GMC Truck falls under the GMC factory warranty. That means the lift, the suspension, the computer, the dash, the custom interior, etc... everything. Most trucks, any custom work voids the warranty. THIS ONE DOES NOT....... and that is because of the affiliate program with GMC that the vendor that completed the work has with GMC. They are the only GM partner in the USA to my knowledge that has their work warranted by the factory. I have had numerous people come up to me and marvel at this truck. It is hot and cannot be reproduced with warranty in place. ALC does not do conversions on used trucks and to do one a on a new one is really gonna cost some bucks. To begin this package on a 2014 you are looking at $68-70k plus. The reason I am selling: I love this truck and it really draws the looks and compliments for sure. I bought this truck to share with my son who just turned 16 as he is an avid Duck Hunter as I. I keep all my vehicles spotless and in new shape ALWAYS. Frankly, my son is uneasy about how clean I keep my vehicles and is a little nervous about driving it, thinking that if he scratched it, I would really have some problems with him.......... I thought about it and he is correct, I may come down on him for driving errors. So I decided that there is no reason for a new driver to have added pressure on the road, so I am selling it to buy a vehicle that he does not have to be nervous about scratching so bad. I know its crazy, but he knows how I am about my vehicles, always have been. I have sold quite a few vehicles on ebay and everyone is shocked about how clean they are. Anyway, this truck should sell fast, as it cannot be duplicated. There are no more 2013 trucks left, and to trick a 2014 out is ALOT more expensive to accomplish. I am an honest seller and offer no smoke and mirrors. Ask me any questions you may have and I will get back to you with an answer. Good luck to all bidders, you cannot go wrong with this truck! **This truck is not a daily driver but driven as needed. Mileage may vary slightly. **Truck is also for sale locally and subject to be sold and pulled off ebay if sold locally. |

GM drops diesel engines for 2020 Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers
Fri, Jul 12 2019GM is officially discontinuing the diesel engine in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain for the 2020 model year. The 1.6-liter turbodiesel was always an oddball of an engine in the compact crossover segment, and now the experiment has come to an end. The Car Connection initially reported the news, and a GMC spokesperson, Stuart Fowle, confirmed it to us this morning. “A huge majority of our Terrain customers have opted for one of our two gas engines," says Fowle. We canÂ’t say this eventuality comes as a massive surprise, as we saw news from couple of months ago that GM was dropping all-wheel drive from the diesel-powered cars for 2020. Low demand was cited as the reason for that cull, and itÂ’s the same for the little GM crossovers this time around, too. These vehicles were the only ones powered with a diesel engine in their class, but thatÂ’s going to be changing. Just as GM is going away from the diesel, Mazda is finally bringing its diesel to market in the CX-5. YouÂ’ll only be able to get that engine in the most expensive ($42,045) trim level, combined with all-wheel drive, though. The cheapest Equinox diesel starts at a comparably low $30,795. ThatÂ’s a $2,400 upcharge over the base 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder, and the value is questionable. Mileage is better, but diesel fuel is more expensive. Towing capability didnÂ’t increase over the base engineÂ’s 1,500-pound capacity, but the extra torque around town was nice. As diesels go in the U.S., this one was rather rough and noisy, possibly contributing to some turning their noses up after a test drive. Perhaps another reason for its demise was that the much quicker 2.0-liter turbo Equinox was only $100 more than the diesel. This engine offered significantly better towing at 3,500 pounds, too. You can read all about what we thought of the diesel in our first drive review here, but the 2019 model year is the last one if you had it on your shortlist. This article has been updated to indicate the source.
GM able to add diesel to half-ton pickups if market demands it
Wed, 18 Sep 2013A few years ago, the trend in half-ton pickup trucks was ultra-luxurious trims, often with the words "limited" or "platinum" tacked on after the model name. That was well and good, but we like this latest fad a lot more - diesel engines. First, Ram came to bat with a 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel for the 1500, then Nissan announced that the next-generation Titan would be getting an eight-cylinder Cummins diesel.
Now, word is coming in from AutoGuide that General Motors can, if it so chooses, drop a diesel engine into its light-duty trucks. The plot thickens, though, as it turns out that said diesel would be the same one Ram is using for its truck. According to AG, that engine comes from VM Motori, which GM owns a sizable chunk of. Therefore, GM can snag the 3.0-liter, V6 diesel for its trucks just as easily, if not more easily, than Ram.
If it's so easy for the Detroit-based manufacturer to access the engines, why not offer the a diesel-powered Sierra and Silverado from the start, then? According to GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson, The General doesn't seem so confident in a diesel pickup outside of its HD offerings. According to Wilkinson, the cost-benefit ratio doesn't line up for customers, thanks to both the impact on the truck's sticker price and the higher price of diesel, in general (the national average for a gallon of diesel is 43 cents more than a gallon of 87-octane unleaded).
Diesel-powered 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra get big price cuts
Tue, Sep 8 2020General Motors is reducing the price difference between its diesel-powered light-duty pickups and their gasoline-burning counterparts, according to a recent report. As of September 3, 2020, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the GMC Sierra 1500 benefit from a $1,500 price cut when they're ordered with a turbodiesel under the hood. Enthusiast website GM Authority first reported the news after looking at internal documents sent to dealers across the nation. It wrote the discount applies to in-stock and in-transit units of the Silverado and the Sierra (pictured), and it added dealers will begin receiving amended window stickers on September 8. And, it's not just a quick, easy way for General Motors stores to clear out 2020 inventory. Incoming 2021 models will benefit from it, too. Chevrolet's cheapest diesel-slurping 2020 Silverado, a double-cab LT with two-wheel drive, now starts at $44,000 once a mandatory $1,595 destination charge enters the equation. For context, the same configuration costs $38,795 including destination when it's ordered with the 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which is the smallest and cheapest engine on the roster. Selecting the more efficient engine option costs buyers $5,205. At the other end of the spectrum, the crew-cab High Country with a standard cargo box and four-wheel drive is now priced at $59,690. Walk a block to the GMC store, and you'll need to spend between $44,470 (double-cab SLE with two-wheel drive) and $61,685 (crew-cab Denali with a regular cargo box and four-wheel drive) for a diesel-powered Sierra. It doesn't sound like either company is making major mechanical changes to the trucks for 2021. Both are powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six Duramax engine, which makes 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission come standard, and four-wheel drive is offered at an extra cost. In its most efficient configuration, the Silverado returns 23 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg in a mixed cycle, impressive numbers for a body-on-frmae pickup that's as heavy as it is capable. Ram's diesel-powered 1500 posts EPA estimates of 22, 32, and 26, respectively. Ford pledged the recently-unveiled 14th-generation F-150 will offer a turbodiesel engine, too, but its fuel economy figures are not available yet.
