I Will be describing my 89 GMC in three simple paragraphs. First I will start with the drivetrain, then move to the exterior, then to the interior.
It has a freshly built 350 engine with a smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission behind it. The engine has just had about $2500 spent on the top end less then 7 months ago, it has brodix heads and valve cover gaskets on it, the intake is eldelbrock and the less then year old carburetor is a eldelbrock 650. The distributor is a HEI. The truck has a 6AL box on it that is not currently hooked up. It also has a pretty big cam in the truck, but I do not know the specs on it. Engine is about 10-1/10.5-1 compression, estimated between 350 and 375hp. Truck is very strong. Also has headers dual exhaust, it leaves for a very nice sound. The transmission has a new clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder, and new clutch line. Clutch is very strong and all the gears are very smooth. Truck will run 80mph @ 2500 rpm. I have been driving this truck roughly 80 miles to work then 80 home. I also love to get in it and ride around on the weekends.
The exterior of the truck is black. The paint on the sides of the truck is pretty good common scratches and common wear on it. The roof of the truck paint is dull, the inside of the bed is scratched up, but not dented up. Inside of the bed, the roof, and the hood could use some new paint. It has sporty carbon fiber mirrors. This is a rust free truck, you got to love a GM product from the south. The tires on the truck are very wide and very deep in tread 85% All 4 of them are matching. The truck has a 2 inch drop on the front and a 3 inch drop on the back, so its sits beautiful. It rides very smooth for a lowered truck.
The interior is about an 8 out of a 10. The seat is very nice and comfortable. It has a fold down arm rest on the driver side. The carpet and door panels are in very good shape also. The dash is crack free. Factor radio. The heat work amazing. This truck does not have air condition on it right now, but roll the windows down and listen to it sing you a beautiful song with the dual exhaust. The headliner is the main thing you can hit the interior for. It has the board their but needs to be covered. The body of the truck is showing 277K miles. This truck drives like it has less then 100k on it.
So my conclusion, This is a fun truck to ride around town on the weekends, but at the same time it will go on a road trip also. I am not scared to drive this truck anywhere. It is a really good driver quality hot rod. It also has a receiver hitch on the back of it for pulling. If you have any questions please feel free to call me..423-667-7235 Thanks for looking

What the electric Hummer's size and weight means for its efficiency
Sat, Dec 3 2022The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1. Tim Levin/Insider If you think driving a pint-sized Nissan Leaf is as good for the planet as driving a huge electric Hummer, think again. The GMC Hummer EV uses significantly more electricity than other EVs, meaning it produces more pollution upstream. The electric Hummer weighs 9,000 pounds and its battery weighs as much as a Honda Civic. The new electric Hummer rolls through town without a deafening engine rumble or a cloud of toxic fumes, but it doesn't exactly tread lightly. The colossal truck weighs an astonishing 9,000 pounds. (Think two Toyota Tacomas, three Honda Civics, or 24 Shaquille O'Neals.) Moreover, the GMC Hummer EV is in many ways a supersized gas guzzler for a new era. It repackages many of the same flaws of hulking SUVs and trucks of years past — and proves not all zero-emission cars are created equal. EVs can be energy guzzlers too On the whole, electric cars use less energy than gas-powered ones. But they aren't all equally efficient. No surprise here: The Hummer needs more electricity than any other EV on the market to move its elephantine frame. The Environmental Protection Agency rates the pickup at 47 MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent). For comparison, the Tesla Model 3 sedan is nearly three times as efficient, earning a rating of 132 MPGe. The Ford F-150 Lightning, another electric truck, gets 70 MPGe. This has real consequences: Since the US gets 61% of its energy from oil, coal, and natural gas, the more electricity a car needs, the more pollution it creates upstream. As the Union of Concerned Scientists put it: "Both EV cars and trucks are much cleaner than their gasoline counterparts, but electric trucks are responsible for more global warming emissions than electric cars simply because trucks are larger and heavier." The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1. Tim Levin/Insider The Hummer EV is also resource-intensive to manufacture, requiring a ginormous (and weighty) battery to give people the 300-plus miles of range they desire. You could produce three Chevrolet Bolts with the same battery cells consumed by one Hummer.
GMC looks to space with the Hummer EV Omega Edition
Fri, May 5 2023The Hummer EV is nothing if not outlandish. Everything about it is over the top, from its size to its weight, but the folks at GMC felt it needed something more to stand out. Enter the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition, an enormous matte blue vehicle with unique features and an exclusive price tag. The special edition builds on the 3X truck and SUV models with a unique Neptune Blue Matte paint color and black exterior trim pieces. It also brings an off-road package, exclusive 18-inch wheels, the MultiPro tailgate with a Kicker audio system, unique interior carpeting, and a transparent roof. In addition to the wheels and 35-inch mud-terrain tires, the off-road package brings underbody skid plates and additional off-road camera views. GMC said it took inspiration for the Hummer EV from the “endless expanse of space,” which is likely true since the vehicle is about as efficient as a Saturn V rocket. Interestingly, the automaker is using the Miami Grand Prix as the launchpad for the EV, offering 0-60 sprints to invited attendees at the event. The Hummer EV Omega Edition Pickup gets a 24-module battery and starts at $149,995, while the SUV gets a 20-module battery and a $139,995 starting price. The hard-to-get EV is exceedingly rare in its standard form, and the Omega Edition is only available to existing order holders, so itÂ’s unlikely any of us will see the unique blue 'ute anytime soon. Despite its ridiculousness, the Hummer EVÂ’s wait list extends into multiple years for some buyers. GMC took thousands of orders and only built 1,000 units in March, so you can see how wait times quickly pile up. That said, production nearly doubled between February and March, giving hope to impatient order-holders. ItÂ’s not possible to place an order at this time, so if you donÂ’t have a reservation already, it might be time to look at a different EV. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Handful of 2022 GMC Hummer EVs recalled for malfunctioning taillight - Updated
Mon, Mar 21 2022[Update: A GM spokesperson reached out to let us know that all customer vehicles have already had this recall addressed.] GMC announced this morning that its gargantuan new electric Hummer is the subject of its first recall campaign. It's a small campaign — approximately 10 units — but a nonetheless important one, as GM says a software glitch can cause its taillights to behave erratically, by either illuminating when they shouldn't or by failing to illuminate when commanded. "Taillight software can cause one or both rear taillights to become inoperative, or remain fully or partially illuminated," GM's report said. "If a taillamp remains fully or partially illuminated, some or all of these taillamp functions will remain activated at all times, even after the vehicle is turned off, A taillamp that fails to illuminate or illuminates incorrectly may reduce the visibility of the vehicle or communicate incorrect information to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash." GM's description of the number of potentially impacted units is inconsistent between documents submitted to NHTSA. Some say nine units; others say 10 or 11. Regardless, it's a small number and all vehicles in customer hands have already been fixed. The remedy was a simple one; the tail lights themselves merely needed to be replaced and everything should behave just fine. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
