1986 Gmc Sierra Classic 4x4 on 2040-cars
King George, Virginia, United States
This truck is super clean !!! Its a daily driver that has been restored to a really nice driver quality. The truck is driven nearly everyday. I have spent over $20K on restoring it alone. Truck frame was sand blasted and painted from the motor back. Cab and body mounts, brackets and bushings replaced. All new suspension front and rear. The brake system has been completely replaced including the brake lines, rotors, calipers, drums shoes and wheel cylinders. Master cylinder on the engine replaced. All the exterior sheet metal is original. Cab corners and passenger rockers were replaced. Front inner fenders were replaced. All exterior badging removed and the truck was painted in silver mist metallic with clear coat. Shows a few stone chips and scratches from everyday driving but nothing that would show in the pictures. It does have one small dent on the passenger rear if you can make it out in the picture about the size of a quarter. I may get a chance to have it repaired. Its really minor. I dropped my trash can and it hit the side. Like I said I drive this truck almost everyday. Step bars installed. Spray in bed liner. Its a head turner. I get compliments everywhere I go in it. The motor is a Chevy 305 bone stock original and runs like a top. The 4 wheel drive was redone including the wheel bearings and hubs. Works great. It also has A/C which I just had serviced and charged. New starter, fuel pump, 600cfm Edelbrock carb, fuel lines and battery. I replaced both fuel tanks and fuel transfer wiring and switch. New bumpers with lights front and back. The head lights and custom front grille installed. The door handles have been replaced. All lights as well as the lens covers replaced. New 31-10:5 tires. The rear end and trans were rebuilt. Windshield and rear sliding window replaced. Inside the cab everything has been done too. The inside of the cab sprayed with Raptor liner, door sills as well as the lower dash panel. Looks fantastic. Seat re-done in black. New dash installed. All new Pioneer speakers. New carpet and headliner. Interior panels replaced including both door handles. All power window and lock switches replaced. The two lower kick panels were painted. All new seat belts and cab lighting. New Sony stereo is wired but I haven't installed it in the dash, but it does come with the truck. I just couldn't get myself to modify the stock dash. Power windows are a little slow but they work and are tinted. I'm sure I'm missing something, I've spent a ton of money on the truck and it looks and drives good. Don't hesitate ask me any questions or feel free to inspect before you bid. Buyer responsible for inspection and transportation costs. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. I will assist buyer with transportation arrangements. I've set the reserve low enough to sell and where I feel is a fair price. Winning bidder must submit $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction conclusion. Cash or certified funds only. Thanks and happy bidding
On Sep-07-14 at 09:26:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Oh yea has new tilt steering column and all new weather strip on the truck. If I remember anything else. I will update the listing On Sep-11-14 at 07:59:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Truck has new exhaust manifold gaskets installed. If you have already bid, please contact ,me via ebay or your bid will be removed within 24 hours. As you can see the reserve has been met. The truck is gonna sell to the highest bidder. I want a clean auction with no hang ups. And no I will not ship overseas or accept a check over the amount of the auction price and send you the difference. All funds must be verified and clear before the truck and title convey. Thanks and happy bidding. Please feel free to ask any questions or set up your per bid inspections of the vehicle. Time is running out!!!. |

GMC Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX concept previews potential Bison-like model
Fri, Aug 27 2021GMC is signaling a move into serious off-road territory with this Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX concept. As its name suggest, this one-off was put together as a demonstration of what an overland-style GMC midsizer could potentially look like, but a glance beneath the surface reveals the bones of what we expect to be the forthcoming Canyon AT4X. While "AT4" has been trickling down through the GMC lineup for the past few model years, AT4X kicks the basic off-road formula up a notch, a la Chevrolet's Colorado ZR2, which gains extra underbody protection, locking front and rear differentials and Multimatic's phenomenal DSSV dampers. GMC Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX Off-Road Concept View 23 Photos OVRLANDX takes that to the next level, borrowing (and building upon) cues from the even-more-rugged ZR2 Bison, including rocker panel guards, cast-iron control arms, a custom front bumper with an integrated winch, built-in front recovery points, wheel arch trim with integrated LED task lighting, and guy lines for protecting the windshield from low-hanging branches. The custom rear bumper is even from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), with whom Chevy partnered to produce the Bison's unique exterior bits. Does that seem like a wink and nod to you? “We wanted to showcase GMC Canyon with this concept and punctuate GMCÂ’s commitment to premium, off-road capable vehicles,” said Buick & GMC Global Vice President Duncan Aldred. "Consumer reaction to this conceptÂ’s design will help us further serve the growing market of buyers leading authentic outdoor lifestyles." This content is hosted by a third party. In a way, the roof-mounted tent, awning, cooler and kitchenette are just there to disguise the fact that GMC will likely build a production pickup with much these same specs when the new model debuts for the 2023 or 2024 model year – or perhaps even sooner. While this concept is built around GM's existing 3.6-liter V6 powertrain, the redesigned Canyon is expected to be offered with just one engine: a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder lifted from the Silverado and Sierra pickups. Rumors have pointed to a GMC variant of the Colorado ZR2 since the midsize pickup adopted the AT4 branding for its off-road variant.
Editors' Picks June 2022 | Acura MDX and the revamped GMC Sierra
Tue, Jul 12 2022This month of Editors' Picks include a pair of excellent vehicles vying for a spot at the top of their respective classes. GM has long disappointed us with its latest generation of Silverado and Sierra pickups, but the 2022 update is a turning point. Plus, Acura rounds out its MDX lineup with a Type S model, and it's enough to earn an Editors' Pick. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in June that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate View 44 Photos Quick take: GM fixes the GMC Sierra's biggest flaw this year with a new interior. Plus, it gains the AT4X trim for more off-road prowess and keeps all that was good from before. Score: 8.0 What it competes with: Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra, Nissan Titan, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros: Top-notch luxury interior, stout capability, wide range of great powertrains Cons: Ride is flinty/rough, looks that divide From the editors: Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "It really depends on what trim level you spring for with the Sierra. Buy the Denali Ultimate, and the interior is just as good as the competition. If you're not going all out on luxury features, though, at least get the diesel. It's the smoothest operating diesel engine out there, and it's also efficient. This is one great truck when you set it up in the ideal configurations." Senior Editor James Riswick — "The GMC Sierra Denali interior has gone from "They just didn't try" to "They tried harder than everyone else." The Denali Ultimate's design, detailing and materials are particularly impressive. If you want a luxury truck, this delivers." In-depth analysis: 2022 GMC Sierra Review | GM's 'premium truck' is actually now premium  2022 Acura MDX 2022 Acura MDX Advance View 23 Photos Quick take: The MDX is one of the best luxury bargains in the three-row class. It has great looks, a sumptuous and sporty interior and even offers a Type S performance variant.
