I am listing this vehicle for a friend of mine who has only owned this van for a short time. No one in her family needs the handicapped accessibility and she would like it to go to someone who could use all of its features. This minivan is a 2001 Ford Windstar Handicapped ramp van. The title is free and clear. The vehicle is in working order with an automatic ramp that can be engaged from inside of van or from a switch on the outside. The vehicle has a three person rear bench seat and plenty of room to maneuver the wheelchair. The current set up is for a wheelchair to be locked in the front passenger position. The driver seat is removable if needed. There are straps and tie down areas. There is also an anchor location to secure the wheelchair in place. I have a video of the ramp in motion if you would like to provide me an email address, I would be happy to forward. The van also has tinted windows, a luggage rack, and a tow package. Interior carpet appears stained but may come out upon cleaning. Please address any questions to the owner of the vehicle at tiffanyaneal@yahoo.com. Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.

I'm Senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Super Duty is new for 2017. Our first look at these heavy duty trucks showed increased cab space for passengers, and [00:00:30] a lighter aluminum frame. Ford insists these changes will provide customers with increased towing capacity and fuel efficiency. The all-new Super Duty will be built at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant, and it goes on sale in late 2016. Now, in case you missed it Volkswagen is under fire for gaming EPA emissions testing. A massive government recall is in the works and the world's top-selling automaker is looking at significant losses in both car sales and its stock value. On top of losing billions of dollars, Volkswagen is also facing [00:01:00] legal issues. And this week we saw Martin Winterkorn step down as CEO of Volkswagen Group. These changes mark just the beginning of VW's arduous process of rebuilding consumer trust. Those are the highlights from the week that was.
